All of my gay friends are over the moon ecstatic and very vocal about it. (to the point of tears!) quote: Originally posted by DopGang: Just an observation. I do that. LOLNot one gay person (some at work, friends and relatives) that I know has made much of a big deal about it. Quite a few have been utterly silent!!! It's the straight people (especially on my FB) that are celebrating. I just found it ironic.

Well said, deepseablues.I took a moment to let the love and light seep in last night, and it made me wish that every day could feel like yesterday. MidnightVenus is right. Though equal marriage is a fantastic a step in the right direction, the battle for equality is far from over. IP: Logged |

i don't think it's over yet though. don't be suprised if all of this is undone during the retrograde or states think of a clever way to block the supreme court.IP: Logged |

Which retrograde? Venus? I doubt this can overpower the Jupiter-Uranus trine, or the Pluto-Uranus square (especially since Pluto is already retrograde). Hope you're not right in your predictions - this is monumental news, such a historical step for the US. I wish we could speed up to this level of political maturity in my own country.

Ignorant people will refuse to accept the decision, but I don't see a reversal in the SCOTUS ruling. The decision won't eliminate discrimination against LGBTQIA2 people just as the Civil Rights Movement, during another Uranus-Pluto square, didn't eliminate discrimination against black people. There is still work to be done.Besides, history (and the Universe) isn't kind to those who don't embrace all kinds. IP: Logged |
