I've noticed that celebs (Shakira & Kourtney Kardashian for instance) with this placement are very successful.
I wonder if it's because all of the houses in their chart have their natural ruler on the cusp .. if that makes senseIP: Logged |

I don't really know any Aries asc,but isn't the singer "Rihanna" one? It makes since though if she is? I have a Libra rising, so I can just imagine them just rushing through things instead of thinking, since they are my opposite! I do think that they would me to the point than an Aries sun signIP: Logged |

I totally could see how Aries rising would be successful. However, Kourtney is actually a Pisces rising. But she has an Aries Sun though. I don't think it has so much to do with the rising sign as much as it has to do with the planet placements/aspects. A lot of celebrities have first house stelliums (all about them and learning who they are). Some examples are Rihanna (two in the first one conjuct ASC in 12th), Selena Gomez and Rachel McAdams, all have different rising signs. 12th house stelliums too, can be found in charts of successful people like Beyonce. I see in Kourtney's chart she has her chart ruler conjunct her midheaven, perhaps that's plays a role in her success. Really, career wise midheaven would be important to look at for success. Angelina Jolie has Jupiter exactly conjunct her midheaven. Of course the above is not true for all celebrities. Looking at the whole chart would help one see how someone is/could be successful. This is pretty accurate. They are opposite of libra rising, they rush into things, arent afraid to show aggression like libra rising is, and are blunt and to the point.
Rihanna is a gemini rising though. But shakira is an aries rising. Actually linda goodman was herself an aries rising. Prominent arched eyebrows are a common theme.
My cousin is a libra with gem moon and aries rising. She isn't successful though. ------------------

I think it depends on the placements and aspects of the house rulers.

Not successful here. I've had my moments though, but for the most part money annoys me and I would be happy living on the barter system, growing my own food, making my own clothes, trading things w people.Stevie Nicks, Penelope Cruz, Audrey Hepburn- also Aries rising. IP: Logged |

I was reluctant to offer my thoughts, but I'll chime in now. The Ascendant sign is important, but it alone cannot accurately reflect how one's life will turn out. The entire chart must be taken into account, as well as the person's life experiences, transits, etc. All in all, there are infinite possibilities.For instance, I have Aries Rising and my chart ruler (Mars) is in the 4th House, while my 4th House ruler (Moon) is in the 1st House. So right there one can infer that my home/domestic life is at the forefront of my personality in one way or another. However, I have Saturn Conjunct Ascendant, so I prefer to keep a fine line between my public life and home life, thus my domestic influence is less apparent in my personality, rather it expresses itself in more subtle ways (mannerisms, particular phrases, etc.). I still have the ambition/pioneering spirit that is innate to Aries Rising, but I'm more motivated by the desire to provide for family/loved ones than I am by self-interest. IP: Logged |

Hmmm interesting! I'm a Cancer Rising with my chart ruler (Moon) in Sagittarius in the 6th house of Virgo? What does that say about me? The only Sagittarian traits I can identify with are brutally honest and the fact that I'm always looking for answers. Aside from that, I'm pretty reserved, analytical and I love to read and write. I notice all the small details and I analyze everything to death. Then again, that could be from my 3rd House Leo Mercury ... IP: Logged |

Hmm I can deduce that you probably get a lot of fulfillment out of nurturing others/helping them maintain good health. You might go about doing this by taking a holistic route, which might include herbal remedies and meditation/energy regulation, or at the very least providing positive company/presence/vibes. As for you, your health could be directly connected to your emotions. If you feel terrible then it'll reflect in your health in the form of minor ailments, although you probably don't experience that as much, owing to your optimistic/jovial Sagittarius Moon. I recommend the KRS channel on YouTube, there you can find videos that explain the effects of house rulers in all the houses. IP: Logged |
