Jo B, I hope you come back. I have stopped paying attention to it in the past, and don't pay attention to most of my transits. I used to be annoyed by the big planets going forward or retro, and astrologers saying that we had a tiny window of time in which to do something really important, otherwise you had to wait so many months until Saturn went direct, and Jupiter joined him. I thought it was too much. Then a group I was in, ten years ago, had astrologers battling over house systems, and some started using a supposedly ancient system that they suddenly deemed to be the best - when Placidus had been fine with them for decades. What has convinced me, aside from noticing similarities between myself and others, or people that I know, is transits. Pluto, mostly. IP: Logged |

teasel, very true about transits. I also remember that three celebs killed themselves in 2013 during their Saturn Return. That particular transit could make a believer out of anybody!IP: Logged |

I prefer to remain neutral about things. In person I have come off as a strong skeptic and other times a firm supporter.......as Dr Dyer says......it's best to keep a mind open to all and attached to nothing.IP: Logged |

I thought she went to visit family for a birthday... ? Or did I just miss something? -------

I'm not much into the 'prognostic' charts, progressions etc,
but there's definitely something to it-- at least regarding our personalities. Esp when you can see and identify certain energies in people-- kind of amazing to me. ------- quote: Originally posted by Jo B: ... I just need some more wine and Scorpio action to answer properly)
Hey... maybe she found some Scorpio action to go with that Merlot.

Hi,I was an Astro sceptic for most of my life, so sympathise with what you’re saying. Even earlier on this year (after over a years’ worth of research) I’d have probably described myself as an “agnostic” where astrology was concerned, all be it one convinced there is probably some level of truth to it. The clincher for me though was in May this year-with the UK General election. If you were following that campaign, you’d know pretty much every political “expert” was predicting no political party would gain an overall majority, an assumption I agreed with. Various astrologers predicted a Conservative majority as far as a year ahead of the election itself though, which is what actually happened. Most of the “experts” didn’t just fail to predict this, they actively predicted a conservative majority was probably the least likely outcome. This in part was a big reason I still wasn’t fully convinced by astrology-most of the Astro experts were predicting something totally different to what the political pundits were saying. Judging by his conduct in the election, I’m personally convinced that even David Cameron (our conservative PM) didn’t think it’d happen. Combine this with the evidence I’ve seen of progressions and heavy transits at work during important turning points of my life-and I’m now convince there is definitely a lot more than just “something” to it. ------------------ The world is just, a great big onion... And hate & fear are the spices that make it fly. IP: Logged | |
