I think it's a matter of perspective. I have some of these placements and/or have very closely known people with some of these placements.
Myself as an example. VERY recently I was in a situation in which I was actually called a user. That I had used those around me for some sort of gain and was being maliciously deceitful.
After speaking to a couple of them, and making known all of my motivations, reasons, and intentions. It's not quite as it seemed.
The interesting thing is, well, it's very complicated. To make it simple I'll say that all of my intentions and movtivations were good. Things changed when they saw the other side of it.
It can be said that even if I didn't intentionally use anyone, the argument can still be made that perhaps I did use people anyway, even if not intentionally.
In the end, talking to them and sharing our sides has really cleared things up. Before that conversation though, they certainly would have put me on this list.
So while I'm not knocking anyone here or saying that we shouldn't have this conversation. I think it's really not accurate.
There's AT LEAST as much weight to be put on the placements of those who view the "users" as users, as it is to say that that the users placements are what make them that way. We all put weight on certain values that others may not. Etc. (The synastry in other words.
) The maliciousness makes a difference to me and I don't believe everyone that we can say "Uses" others, are doing so intentionally.
Perhaps that doesn't play into it for the purpose of this thread or I'm overthinking it.
To which I say, "oh well."
