The Sun and the Moon and the relationship they have with the other planets shows how the parents raised us, the relationship between the mother and the father, and how our own inner yin and yang manifests.

Note that the KRS channel is referring to Vedic astrology, not Western, so while there is some similarities there are also differences. I would suggest sticking to one tradition for interpretive purposes.

The Sun encompasses attributes and characteristics traditionally associated with masculinity and "male energy" while the Moon has been the same but with feminine energy. As such, the Sun encompasses fathering qualities or energies as the Moon encompasses mothering energies. A biological father or mother are not the only individuals to have a mother-like or father-like influence on the lives of individuals. Thus, the Sun and Moon can and do provide indications about the father and the mother, but so does Saturn for the father and for those that incorporate asteroids, Ceres for the mother.

Even sticking with one tradition you will find contradictions.
Being that it's all up to interpretation.
I was merely stating another possibility that I had read, not proclaiming that I know the truth. Which I've stated clearly from the beginning.

Carry on.

By looking at the Sun we can determine if a person had a good or bad father.. As for the husband bit.. I"m not so sure about that. But it for sure represents the Father, like the Moon represents the Mother.

I agree with this.

I've also been finding very strong links to draconic, both with romance and family.

Just to throw another wrench in your machine here.

In my case it applies with unbelievable precision, especially since I had never seen my father's chart nor my husband's when I married him.

In fact I only found my father's birth time several weeks ago.

I am a Capricorn sun, my sun is in mutual reception with my Leo Saturn.

As it turns out:

My husband's Saturn is conjunct my father's Saturn, both conjunct my draconic Saturn (and my Venus.)

My husband's sun is almost exactly conjunct my father's moon (less than 1 orb) and if you give me 7 orb, they are both conjunct my natal Saturn. My father's draconic sun conjunct my husband's sun.

My husband's draconic sun is conjunct my father's ASC exactly.

And some other things.

Here's my take on it from what I've learned:

Moon=mother -in a man's chart it signifies the type of women they form relationships with

Mars=in a woman's chart it signifies the type of men she is attracted to.

Saturn=father

Jupiter=husband

Venus=the type of relationships we have. I think it may signify the man's wife in his chart if I'm not mistaken.

I never heard of some of these. Can you explain more, my Friend.

Let's say a person has a Cancer Mars, how would that translate into the kind of guy they were attracted to?

Thanks so much

I don't see how Jupiter applies in my case?

My Jupiter doesn't aspect anything in my husband's chart, except it is semisextile to his SN/quincunx his NN.

Jupiter signs are loosely aligned with the Chinese Zodiac however, so if you have Jupiter in the same sign or trine, there is a good chance your Year signs are compatible.

Like, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are both Rabbits with Jupiter in Aries.

I would say they're attracted to the sensitive type, but not overly sensitive. She is attracted to someone who can sense her feelings... someone who is protective of her, as well as compassionate. She also likes a person with depth, she can't be with a man who can't teach her something or at least have a good heart to heart as well as intellectual conversation on any topic.

As for physical attraction, someone strong... since they love to feel protected
Pretty masculine features with doe eyes.

With Mars in Cancer...Mars is an active planet and goes after what he wants, so she would be into men who chase her and masculine but who are also sensitive.

Want to throw the synastry up?

I've been getting into draconic lately and it's just astonishing!
Former romantic partners would often have planets in a sign that I have none in. But I have draconic sun there!
An ah-ha moment.
Plus my parents having draconic placements very closely conjunct my natal or draconic.
Basically lots of connections all around, often very tight! It's crazy!

Thanks for the invitation, but I've always avoided posting my husband's chart.

I agree completely about draconics, though.

Oh hey! My draconic Jupiter is conjunct his tropical Mars-Pluto-Mercury.

That's something.

Hmm I relate a lot better to my moon sign than my sun. I always figured it was because the moon is in its sign in cancers while my sun is in its weakest sign, Aquarius. Making my moon completely overshadow my sun. But also I grew up not knowing my father and my mother was the strongest figure in my life. I would die for her.

Did my placements predict my childhood or did my childhood make me relate more to the feminine mother archetype of my personality rather than the masculine father archetype.
