If you meant the Moon causes the Earth to spin around its axis, that is a consequence of the conservation of the outerspace gas movement. All planets/stars spin around their axis.If you meant the Moon causes the Earth to wobble, it's the Moon that forces the Earth to maintain the same tilt. We would literally not exists if it weren't for this fact, because a variable tilt means a variable climate that would change overnight (in extreme terms, Europe would be one month at the Equator and the next month at the N Pole). Life cannot adapt to such radical changes fast, so technically speaking all life bigger than microbes would be doomed without our Moon. I'm quite grateful to our dear satellite. ♡
Yes thats what I meant. Im not a science guy so i dont know how to explain that typa stuff altough I have come across logical explanations and wrote them in my notes before. Ill look through them later on and try to find an explanation. Science to me is just a religion, its all theory. Ive seen so many of there theories debunked, including alot of their foundational ones like gravity. I dont expect you take what I said as fact lol so dont worry i was just throwing it out there IP: Logged |

Wobble on its axis* i think thats right. You guys arent giving enough credit to the earth, she would be just fine running the show without the moon or handicapped on a tilt. IP: Logged |

Okay, am I the only one that's confused? A blue moon is when a full or new moon happens twice in the same sign. There is no Blue moon coming up on Friday according to my ephemeris. Just a regular full moon. Where are you guys seeing a blue moon?

The first full moon was on July 2nd and the second July 31st. Sign wise it's off because the Moon was in Capricorn not Aqua which was on the 4th.

^^^ So it's NOT a blue moon. A blue moon has to be new/full moon TWICE in the same sign. ETA: Unless you're using the term for a new/full moon twice within the same month... Not as powerful or significant... And it's not the classical meaning of blue moon when it comes to astrology. IP: Logged |

Well tell that to the rest of the world technicalities; it's still considered a Blue moon because two full moons are occurring in the same month. "In July of 2015, the first Full Moon happened in Capricorn on July 1, and the second Full Moon, in Aquarius, the Blue Moon, occurs on July 31. There won't be another blue Moon like this again until 2018."http://www.tarot.com/astrology/once-blue-moon IP: Logged |

^^^I may be wrong, but I don't think it matters to astrologers. We don't study the movement of the stars by using months. We don't say people born in March are this way and that way. But if people want to consider this a blue moon, I guess they should just go ahead. I can't prevent them. I just think it's mislabeled. IP: Logged |

You are correct Belage, 2 x in a month or4 times in a season in completely different than in the same sign which is more rare. I have even read that it never happens which I know is incorrect. This definition currently being used is basically meaningless to me as it it only the result of the Gregorian calendar or any calendar that starts arbitrarily without concern for new moon starts. The real Chinese and Hebrew calendars as well as some others start by lunation so by our silly definition a blue moon does not occur ,, EXCEPT by the true definition of twice in same sign. Richard Nolle has complete tables for the different type of so called blue moons.WITH definations. I am glad I am not the only one who knows difference, I was feeling lonely. Too bad I thought we could talk about the fullmoon (no matter if blue or white) here, but I am not in the mood for fighting. So wrong thread for me I suppose. EDIT and just in case someone did not get what I mean: Stop throwing personal insults at each other. It`s a waste of time and it`s rude.

Seriously, that fullmoon is already driving me crazy, with the electricity. though I must say the Aquarius and Leo full moons are the "usuals uspects" for me in that regard. They seem usually special to me, but this one? Tops even the ones before. lolIP: Logged |

Well the fullmoon at my location will be full during the day on friday. Interestingly will put the DESC-ruler onto the MC in Cancer. [/URL] The fullmoon itself occupying the 4th-10th house, ruling 10th and 11th (just barely).
and for me personally Sun falls into my 8th house, Moon into my 2nd house (my natal Moon is in 2nd house as well, but 10 degrees off it, opposing Tr Mercury incidentally). and Tr Sun conjuncts my pr Moon: 2°46 Tr Moon conjuncts my pr Sun: 0°38
