I found a theme with mine. I was thinking about it last night as a "dark side" was really hitting me.

My theme is really all about "balance". It makes sense with a Libra Asc.
As I learn more and more about Astrology, myself and patterns. I really see it more clearly.

Through planets elements, modalities, houses, and aspects. I can really see two sides to myself. Everything supports it. My dark side is extremely dark. By dark, I mean ruthless, merciless, volatile, violent. (Few have ever really seen even half of that side. I keep it pretty tightly wrapped up, though it's in my mind a lot)

My "light" side is very humanitarian, loving, caring, selfless, empathetic.
Both of these are in extremes and I feel them both very strongly. Even pluto conjunct asc suggests this duality to me and how it reaches extremes within me.
Mars conjunct mercury in the 12th too. Venus in the 12th as well.
Because quite a bit of this takes place inside and behind the scenes, no one really sees much of either one. Therefore it's a blessing and a curse. People don't mess with me typically but others that I would like to be closer to also stay away. Yet others feel lots of trust and comfort with me. Playing into that Pluto/asc in having a powerful response either way. All of the chart supporting this theme.
Mars/mercury DEFINITELY my strongest. Conjunct and in parallel (declination)
But paired up with Venus, my chart ruler. All 12th. Love is abundant and idealized. Anger and aggression is certainly there, but subdued/supressed.

I'm picking up that one of my lessons is to reduce the extremism of this. To be loving and caring without giving too much of myself or even losing my identity in others. (12th/Pisces vs my Uranian/Aqua influences - which I'm including draconic with that)
Mars/mercury 12th, and harshly aspected - Sometimes I keep quiet and don't speak up because I can be aggressive and it's very on/off. I have had trouble doing it constructively. As I get older, I am SO much better and am able to speak up without losing control. I feared doing it because I didn't want to get carried away.

My theme is all about balance and it really is just amazing to me. It all solidifies my belief in Astrology.

Do you have a theme?

When I do charts, I look for Themes. I do the same with synastry. Each person will, usually, have several themes ime

My theme, if there is one, is: Nothing's simple. Everything's connected. The sum is greater than the parts. Look for the bigger picture, the higher purpose.

8th house Sun, Scorpio Asc, Two (or three) T-squares and a grand water trine, topped off with NN 9th (conj Venus) and Vertex 8th (Conjunct Mercury).

Great thread!

Well let's see.

I have a splash chart with a singleton sun as a chart ruler. There is the contrast between the universal (splash chart) and the personal (singleton sun.)

The dispersed, scattered quality of the splash chart is reiterated by Neptune themes: a Venus-Neptune conjunction, a Pisces moon, and sun in mutual reception with 12H Saturn.

The challenge is to concentrate this energy to a point in time and space.

Edit - I think.

I love themes!

I think we all have several themes in our charts. The same happens with relationships (synastry/composite).

The most important theme in my chart is my Yod.
The other important theme is the 8th house, but these are the same theme, actually, since my Yod release falls in the middle of my 8th house anyway, and it's a 2nd to 8th house Yod.

Another important theme in my chart is my Aquarius/Leo interception on 1st/7th axis, coupled with Uranus peregrine.

They all point to transformation and rebirth, so I guess this is the actual theme.

I think my Aquarian 7th house theme is the most obvious. I have everything that deals with how people see me in house 7, all my malefics in house 4, and my moon in a sign and a house associated with deep hidden pain.

So my theme is pretty straightforward. People are the joy and the bane of my existence.

Also, sun sextile Uranus at 0 degrees and ascendant trine Uranus and Uranus in the 5th house, I am also pretty unconventional in a lot of ways, supposedly. I don't know how true that is.

Now, are you happy with your theme?

I'm not really happy with it. Though I get it. I suppose it's all about conquering it but I'd really like a break! It's exhausting feeling so much, in opposite directions, and ending up that neither really gets expressed! Sheesh!

Without thinking about the chart I'd say intuition & emotion vs logic & objective or reality, what's real

In my chart I've felt moon conj neptune in sag, 2nd & opp jupiter, 8th is big for me. Conflict between family life and other ambitions. Dreams/beliefs are important, they feel like my soul and yet so many times they are dismantled and put together new. Something tells me, despite how important it feels this is a sideshow and distraction though.

Another theme is control especially of expression (scorpio rising, venus sq saturn, merc opp pluto, philomela conj nn, t-sq of sun, uranus & Mars)

Sedna is a main artery. The asteroids & the like help me see themes

Excellent thread!

I would need to think longer about it though...
It's hard to find an essence, since there seems to be a lot of paradoxes in my chart (well, as in any).
I'll figure something out though

I can relate because I have this 11H Gemini Mars versus 8H Pisces moon. Cannot make both happy, one of them is always griping about what the other does.

How do I feel about my theme? It's pretty cool, I'm just not zooming along making progress fast enough...My Aries Jupiter wants enlightenment, yesterday.

I haven't found a theme that stands out to me in my chart. My chart is kind of scattered.

Maybe a scattered brained theme?

Elements are somewhat balanced. Lacking fixed quality though. The abundance of mutable energy is the only thing that ever stands out.

How can I identify a chart theme?

You can post your chart if you want to. I'm not claiming that I'd spot one. I found mine after study, introspection, and thought about it.

Perhaps start with your angles. ? That's not what stood out to me but my theme does go back to Libra asc with Pluto.
Libra sets up a chart to be "opposed" just by the signs being flopped.

I am Libra ASC with PLUTO conjunct also.

What you said about light/dark resonates very much with me also, and I too feel these are the culprits.

I have MARS and SATURN there also, and I think without SATURN I would be dead already.

Anyway, great idea for a thread. I feel kinda daft though, as if this is something I should have figured out already.

There is a very strong Leo/Sun/Sag/Jupiter theme to my chart. I find it fascinating because when I was younger I wanted to be 2 things, a pediatrician or a school teacher for young children.

It starts with a YOD with my Leo Asc at the apex and my Sun's co-rulers (Jupiter and Neptune) as the base.

My Sun is my chart ruler and is placed in my 9th house in Pisces along with Mercury and an Aries Venus.

My 5th house cusp falls in Scorpio, but Sag is intercepted here and in Sag falls my Saturn/Vertex/Juno/Mars/Uranus and probably a plethora of asteroids I'm not aware of. 5H Sag Mars rules my MC and Uranus/Saturn co-rule my DSC.

As I have gotten older I've realized that I do want to teach, but I enjoy teaching expanding views. I want to pass on the ability to see the big picture and possiblities rather than a here and now, closed-minded absolutes approach.

I am a teacher and a leader. I just don't know of what or to whom

Okay, so I knew this all along, I just needed to give it a "name".

Mine is gutsy liberation.

My big three scream liberation, rights, freedom: Libra, Sag, Aqua, it's what defines my world view and how I approach problems, doing things, everything I guess. The core me.

Then Sag MC conjuncted with Lilith opposed to Mars conjunct IC. I am fierce in what I do, and my source of motivation is anger, anger for the injustices oppressed groups endure (Saturn in 12H). My martian soul is a fighter and understands frustration built up, being stepped on in what should be a safe environment, sense of not belonging and wild rage that should be used constructively to help the oppressed to liberate themselves from the oppressor and empower them.

Gutsy because I am so Uranian (square Sun, conjunct Moon) I don't care what people think of me, I am more and more liberated from the norms, conventionality, major common sense, people's expectations.

What I need the most (Sag Moon in 11H, conjunct Uranus) is to be heard for the sake of humanity and improvement of the world.

I am intended to do revolutionary stuff in one area, to rebel and fight, to look for my fellow people (Jupiter trine MC, conjunct SN, sextile Mars, Sun, inconjunct Uranus).

I will not find peace within myself without daring, powerful destruction of old, unjust ways (Sun square Moon, midpoint conjunct Pluto, Pluto square Ascendant).

Well, that's the ideal, I'm on my way, but still looking where to put this resisting energy to good use. I've got lots of things to sort out, before I'll be able to live this.

Very interesting. I think mine would be AGGREGATION TO CREATE. I have almost one planet in each house and some of them are connected by a Star of David (actually I have a dwarf planet at the top of the SoD and heliocentrically that's also my n-Earth's location). It took me a lot of time to learn to combine the planets' energies.

Mine would be assertion. That's what I think it is and learning the right way to do it. Not just in life but with my goals etc. I also have a Libra rising and i have a first house sun and mars. But my mars is square a fourth house Neptune so for a while, my assertion often came with guilt, self doubt, and at times shame(just being honest)and it cake from a very deep place.

And then I have a south mode Libra conjunct mars. The thing with Libra in the first is there is a great desire to do for the self but there is always something calling you to another. And in the past, putting others first did not work. Its not that I'm inconsiderate now, but I'm only considerate to those considerate with me.

Maybe my theme is more about self empowerment than anything. Believing in myself and going foward with my goals regardless of the consequences. I have alot of squares and sextiles in my chart which is grit and opportunity which to me means growth.

So my theme would be to me self empowerment

Could be an Earthy Aquarian theme. I'm not sure.

Sun opposite Uranus both squaring mars
MC in Aquarius
North node in Aquarius in the 10th
Sun in the 11th
Chiron in the 11th, Pallas too

All 'earth' house are loaded. Four plants in earth.

A person who values and thrives on individuality and is grounded in reality.
