Topic: If Astrology works then does that mean every other metaphysical tool does too?

Kind of an abstract question so I'll try to simplify it as best as I can:Basically once an Astrologer becomes experienced with energy through meeting other people and guessing their sign/house placements and stuff, can we conclude from this that every belief we normally reject are actually true? And also does this give reason to assume that other spiritual beliefs such as reincarnation, the afterlife, etc, are true? IP: Logged |

A good question to ask yourself is why are some souls more evolved than others? In terms of reincarnation it means the soul has had more experiences than others have, and is therefore more evolved. Astrology shows when a soul is very old or new.
I think these questions should and would be asked. Having an interest in astrology is a very strong indication that person is intelligent enough to want to ask important questions like these.
And like Jesus said 'knock and the door will be opened' So as long as you are asking and wanting to know, have proven you are worthy to know by asking, then you will be shown the truth.  IP: Logged |

I think it's still wise to really educate yourself and learn first if something works and is true before just accepting it.
Although astrology has certainly inspired me to look further into the metaphysics.
I am an identical twin and our birth day is the 11th, 11 is a number along with 22 that can not be broken down in numerology (I'm referring to the numerology used in Linda Goodman's Star Signs) and its an interesting number to have because it tells you that your destiny is tied to another person or in your life you have two forces to choose from. As I am a twin, its very fitting and I do feel its clearly saying my destiny is tied to hers.
We are also Libra's, which seems fitting because its the sign of relationships. Astrology clearly points out past life and karma...so I equally believe in reincarnation and karmic retribution. IP: Logged |

If Astrology works then does that mean every other metaphysical tool does too?No. I think you can look at each metaphysical idea just as any other idea, on its own merits or lack of them. Besides, people don't form beliefs always based on a search for pure Truth, but based also on what serves them, helps them exert restraint over parts of themselves they do not trust, stay on a 'straight and narrow', or simply to allow themselves room to be/act that others do not. ------------------
