Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus are sitting pretty in my 12th house while duking it out with my Libra Moon in the 9th and ready to call for back-up with my Cancer Venus, Chiron, and Jupiter in the 6th.

And lets not forget that Pluto sits high and mighty in my 10th house squaring my ASC, joined by my Taurus Mars in the 4th house squaring my ASC as well. And how could I not forget BOTH of my Mean and True Liliths conjunct my MC in Sag at an exact degree. (Don't leave your wife around me)

Beautiful....

Never really got the whole "12th house" thing that people are so paranoid about. Always seen it as a blessing. Yeah I'm a lone wolf and my closest friends are always far away from me while I'm surrounded by people that see me as odd, but I'm always inspired...Seriously. I can be inspired by the smallest things be it a person, a pebble, roadkill that I walk pass everyday deteriorating before my eyes, or an old mailbox full of spider webs and stinkbugs. I always have some thing to write..

The fact that i have my social and generational planets in my 12th house (Jupiter involved in the 6th) makes it deeper for me because its beyond personal, this is something i KNOW is past life related. Some of you believe in past lives, and truth be told I believe it to an extent. I don't believe we "die and come back". I believe our life is so vast that it is experienced in different ways and timelines, meaning...no one ever truly "dies". Death is just a phase that transitions to the next, like the seasons.

Reincarnation is simply a transference of knowledge from one being to the next. If i told a 3 year old child that 1 + 1 = 2, then although he may be just 3 years old, he has been incarnated with energy that exceeds millions of years and has been proven by millions of individuals, making him more than just a 3 year old, but a vehicle of ancient wisdom that makes him no different from someone who is 100 years old.

My 12th house has allowed me to see the beauty behind the bugs. I have my fears and insecurities (like everyone does) but I've noticed a sense of calmness when I simply see them for what they are, and when I simply LEAVE THEM ALONE. I've learned to develop a "care-free" attitude with this house.

Anyone with a strong 12th house influence knows exactly what I'm talking about. LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!! So tempting to get involved in the things you feel like you have no control over, but 12th house energies don't want you to get involved, leave that for the 8th house. 12th house energies want you to sit back, relax, and allow the seasons to take care of everything without your interference. Your blessing will come from a foreign place..

I have sun/merc/venus/uranus/neptune in the 12th house. I know what you mean.

For me, the 12th house sea has dissolved almost everything. And here I am relaxing in the water and feeling so free.

YESSSS!!!! Love this post!

There is nothing worse then having a stellium in the 12th and then being told it means "serve or suffer" and "karmic debt". Because guess what? The world isn't black and white and neither is astrology. Houses and signs are made up of many shades. Your 12th house stellium experience isnt going to be the same as mine.

Btw i have the sun, venus, jupiter and mercury in pisces H12. Pluto trines all of them, giving them power, and my mercury conjunct venus breathes life into my art.

Not gonna lie. The 12th house comes with a lot of lessons, but its not as doom and gloom as most astrologers make it out to be.

Now lets talk about the bug thing lol. I get you on the whole "leave them alone" point of view. I once saw a documentary about a tribe extracting honey from a bee hive. They literally just blew on it, and the bees moved out of the way. It was awesome. However, any bug that comes into my house takes the risk of getting squashed. I will take the lizards back outside but I dont have the patience for the others and as long as they dont come in my house (or car) they dont get squashed

The 12th house is like one giant field that is full of fog and mist. The more you try to "find" your way out, the more lost you end up getting.

But when you just sit still, and don't move, the fog subsides on its own and you realize you were exactly where you needed to be

Beautiful

I have NN, Uranus and Pluto in my 12th. But I also have sun/merc in my 8th along with Scorpio rising.
Always learning, reflecting and trying to just flow with life.

I've noticed that I tend to attract people with a 12th house stellium. Maybe because of the mutual understanding,

Mercury, Venus, mars for me.

It's my "home". I go there to recharge. It's peaceful. I can get naked there or do what I want to. It's like when you're away from home and have that sudden relaxation as soon as you step in the door. oh, I love it there!

What's interesting for me, perhaps due to such personal planets there, mercury in particular which is communication. 'LL for me is kind of like letting you all peek into a keyhole into it. The fact that I share ANY personal thoughts is sharing some of my 12th for me. Those thoughts may not even truly be 12th house matters but with mercury there, that's just where they come from.

I think I sometimes have trouble with sharing incomplete thoughts while trying to make them seem complete because I only want to share the minimal amount.
That's my biggest gripe. LOL
Otherwise I love it.

Yes i know how you feel. Uranus is in my 12th and its the higher octave of merc so I def know what its like to have to constantly explain why I express myself the way I do.

After rereading, my first paragraph I meant physically being alone. Just to make sure that's clear. LOL
I love being alone, a lot!

Being physically alone allows me to escape into my thoughts and therefore being alone allows me to go "home", wherever I happen to be.
Whether at a park on a walk, riding my bicycle, going for a drive, etc etc.

Everything you described about your experience with the 12th house is your 12th house Jupiter. A 12th house Jupiter is said to be a blessing,a guardian angel so to speak. But try having Sun,Venus, Saturn, and the North Node in the 12th house with saturn conjuncting sun and the north node. That's some heavy stuff! And that's what I'm dealing with.

The readings for 12H Saturn run along those lines; I was unaware that they were peddling the same philosophy to other planets there.

It does make sense to me, for Saturn.

"Serve or suffer"?

Yes, serve me a rum and coke or suffering will fall upon you!
(Gonna go have one in a bit lol. Or two)

It took me years to come to accept my 12th. When a teenager/early 20's it was an absolute nightmare and nearly took me out, if you get me.
Now, I love it so much. I can't imagine life without it.
Though, sometimes I feel like a ghost when I want to be noticed and noticed when I want to be left alone.

Yes, all planets except Jupiter and the outers gets the 'Serve or Suffer' dogma, and if you don't serve, you will have to keep coming back again and again until you learn your lesson.

Another one is -- you were probably a bad person in your past life, and in this life you have to suffer for your sins.

And another -- your only job is being a prisoner yourself (serial killer, murderer) or working in a prison, hospital, or digging graves, or in the back room, a 12th house person should never show their face, only back scene jobs. Not saying these are not great jobs except the prisoner part. But all 12% of the population with 12th house planets need to work in these jobs?

Now this one I kinda of like -- the planets in the 12th house are talents you can use in this life...so I don't know, I guess that can show karma good or bad. I still don't know the significance.

The 12th can be very difficult, but it varies on how difficult or how easy it will be. Some astrologers don't even want their children having planets in the 12th house, it makes them scared. The 12th house is infamous in astrology, but people are still drawn to it.

Barack Obama has his Saturn in the 12th house so I'll take what you said with a grain of salt lol. I don't believe I was a bad person in my past life, never felt that vibe, I picked up other vibes though such as me being an explorer and an inventor. Plus i know many spiritual people that tell me I have a bright and positive aura. (bluish-violet)

12th house positions could be a result of things you were unable to complete, and the things that are in your way from completing them. This is when the 6th house comes in to assist you.

I favor 12th house positions, it shows that you have been and are experiencing things on a level some people aren't able to reach just yet. Its very humbling.

How would the sixth house assist? I have a 12th house moon in Gemini/north node and I'm still trying to figure this one out. Neptune in Sagittarius in 6th house. What would you say about this aspect? I had a tarot reading my purpose card was 10 of swords then I had snother reading and what I was good at showed the King of swords. 12th house us foggy, I thought I was meant to be a writer but having second thousghts.

The 12th house represents things we have no control over, while the 6th house deals with our work ethic and our daily routines. Both houses are houses of service so the 12th house may feel they are suffering an ordeal, or must face something that can't be explained. The 6th house helps your 12th house to focus on things that will give you ease and focus when it comes to your service. Focus on the small, yet important things instead of things you feel are impossible to settle. This allows you to rest much better and the problems will begin to solve itself...

Why are you doubting your writing talents?

I never said those things.

I was indicating what I've come across in reading about the 12th house myself when I was trying to find out about my own chart placements. I do think the delineation of the 12th house by astrologers is getting better, but it still has Traditional astrology undertones. Recently astrologers are beginning to see the good and bad of the 12th house, instead of the 12th house is bad, end of story.

I don't understand the Barack Obama reference. I never mentioned Barack Obama.

I think a "problem" with this house is:

It contains many blessings, true. It also makes us feel a bit different and probably we are. But if the reasons why you're different can elude you. It's a fog. You can't understand why you're different or what purpose it has.
Worse, at least for me, when I tried to force myself to be like everyone else it was a bit like trying to shove a square into a round hole. It didn't work.
Only when I accepted who I am and these gifts that I have, which seem minor, but they're mine, then I felt better. I felt like, I don't truly NEED anyone else. I could isolate myself and be fine.
However, I think part of the 12th is a capacity at least, even if you're not aware of it, to love everyone on some level. Because they're people, just like me, and you. Perhaps very different and with drastically different opinions and beliefs. It's deeper than that. They are still people, who feel love and pain, and grief when they lose a loved one. All behind whatever belief and opinions, sex, or sexual orientation, behind color and etc. Those are somehow superficial when thinking on an even deeper level.
That no matter how much I may dislike a person, and sometimes I am very mean, even unpredictable, and caught up in life. I'm still connected to everyone because we have so many things in common.

Like when people try to make lions as pets. They sometimes find out that you can take the lion out of the wilderness but not truly take the wilderness out of the lion. It's still a beast at heart. So we are all people with similar, "wild" needs that we all share. For that reason, it's hard not to love a little, every person and feel compassion for suffering.
In that sense, it's hard to not "need" others. Because deep down, I want to help. I want people to see what I see and I want people to love each other.
But it's all so overwhelming that most often I just shut it all out. Which ironically leads to me being thought of as unemotional and lacking empathy. It's just too much. So much easier just to tone out and do my thing. I was given the gift in the rest of my chart that allows me to "turn off".

I could go on seemingly forever about this stuff and how it's affected me personally, now and growing up.
But I don't want to bore everyone.
Plus some might think that I'm heavily drugged and plan to howl at the moon tonight.

Oh I apologize. I misread your comment! I thought you were pointing out that those born with those placements were doomed for failure and isolation. Then I mentioned Obama as an example of someone who doesn't even fit with those ideas. I apologize again..
