Perhaps the most important placement would be Venus/Saturn aspects.

While other Venus aspects might be fine just being beautiful, Venus/Saturn is not content with just being beautiful. Going on beauty pageant is a Saturnian quest. Saturn likes to make things official, therefore for a Venus-Saturn person, winning a beauty pageant would mean that she is officially beautiful. She's got the paper that certifies that she is beautiful!

Saturn/Venus would also confer the ability or inclination to use one's look to one's advantage.

^^^ Especially important because Saturn confers insecurity to Venus, getting that official confirmation of beauty is something that Venus/Saturn will seek more than other Venuses.

I personally have never felt the need to have any official stamp of approval about my attractiveness. Fortunately I've never felt insecure about my looks, and I don't constantly compare myself to others like many women do. I know that Saturn to personal planets can add insecurity, but that's not my experience. It does have an effect on how I express my feelings in romantic relationships, since I will hold back until I know the feelings are mutual. Once I know they are mutual, I'm extremely devoted, and I have zero interest in casual relationships. That's how I feel Venus/Saturn, but it may be different since my conjunction is in Libra, where Venus is domicile and Saturn is exalted.

I think the main reason that this aspect might be common in beauty queens is that Venus/Saturn usually has a very refined and graceful way that they carry themselves. It reminds me of when women were sent to finishing school to learn etiquette and how to walk with a book on their heads for proper posture. That's a very Venus/Saturn thing to do, teaching women how to act like like "classy ladies". Lol. Their beauty and femininity is expressed in a Saturnian way, and this is an asset in the pageantry world.

I think the term 'beauty' has been so distorted nowadays. Everyone with right makeup and skill can look like a model including those that are working as actress/model!!

I've examined a couple charts belonging to beauty queens and there is a dominance of Taurus and Libra influences.

What else can you guys add?

i dont know if she would enter a beauty pageant but she is definitely one of the most beautiful women I have seen. since afrodite is another form of venus, that reinforce the idea that it is venus that grants beauty. i suspect venus retrograde can make a person insecure about their beauty or in difficult aspect to MC or AC

I dont think that venus square ascendant counts. if it were trine or sextile or conjunction yes, but actually square may contribute in the opposite direction.

This is not to toot my own horn but simply to add to the evidence - I've always been told I'm "pretty" or "beautiful" (all in the eye of the beholder of course) and I have Venus trine Saturn almost exact.

I would never compete in a beauty pageant though because a) I have no desire and b) I really hate being the centre of attention (Gemini with a Virgo ASC...womp womp).
