Does the size of house play a big part in a chart? My 4/10 are by far the biggest and 7/1 the smallest. What could this mean?

I have rxNeptune in 4H and Jupiter in 10H conj MC.

It has a meaning if for example you have intercepted houses - a house that is so small that is contained in a single sign

My 7/1 are the only houses that are contained by one sign (Pisces/Virgo)

It is said by several authorities that the equal house system is the only one that counts. For a mathematical explanation I refer you to "My World Of Astrology" by Sydney Omarr, which is a great book to read anyhow.

I don't know, but I think that the equal house system doesn't fully reflect the physical location on the measurement of the charts angles.

It's reversed for me, 4H and 10H are small and intercepted, 1H and 7H are huge.

I've found transits through them to be incredibly relevant, 1H and 7H themes being highlighted for much longer periods. To me this is the most accurate test - whatever resonates most, must be true for you.

Also agree with the point above that the equal house system does not recognise geographical location, which I've found to be very relevant.

So whatever transit I have in 4/10 house I should pay extra attention to?

I think you should, also because they're angular houses. And the MC/IC axis is very important the relationship both with yourself and the exterior world

Jupiter in Tarus, you should live in a countryside surrounded by nature. Yes, that's expansive compared to being in the city, isn't it.

The equal house system use the axises of the celestial movement, while another takes one axis of celestial movement and one upon the earth, and that is not logical. But Sydney explains it far better.

In theory, yes. Widened houses (in a chart with a valid, accurate Asc) indicate houses in which there is greater emphasis. Simply put, planets progress and transit much longer through these houses, creating this emphasis over time. So that emphasis is there whether or not any natal planets are in those houses.

That's not an interception, but a misnomer (misapplication of the term). Read the third post down at this thread:
