Who are your favourite authors? Or the stories you tend to like and what explains this in your chart?

Fantasy. High, epic fantasy. Oh yeah. So good. It's like crack for my imagination.

12th house stellium, neppy influence.

Historical fantasy. Mythology. Archaeology. Naturalism. Crafts & Handiwork books.

Saturn/Cappy influence. Earth influence. I like history, nature and working with my hands.

Children books.

Idk why I like children books.

I read almost exclusively Stephen King and non fiction. I'm not positive what explains this but it could be Scorpio on my fifth house (and Pluto there). I definitely am fascinated by darker stories and tales of obsession.

Also, Stephen King is a cancer ascendant within the same few degrees of my cancer ascendant and we both have Sagittarius moons👍🏼

Hmm Fantasy, High epic fantasy, Historical Fantasy and Mythological mostly.

So far this year I have been hooked in the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. I TOTALLY recommend it for Fantasy fans.
I just finished The Alloy of Law and I can't wait for October for the new book to be released!

Marion Zimmer Bradley, Ken Follet, Brandon Sanderson are my favorites authors among others, but these would probably be my top three.

Moon in Taurus trines Neptune in Cap.
Leo Stellium in the 9th

Murakami, Greg Iles, Dennis Lehane and things about Hermeticism. I have NO idea what would point to these choices.

I haven't read the second two authors but I was thinking for myself murakami. And, I own several books on alchemy so I'm wondering if Mercury/pluto is related? I seem to remember you having this aspect too. Do you have Mercury in aspect to neptune?

Even though haven't read king and only know of his thriller films, I could still imagine it playing into cancer somehow.

What is Mercury aspecting? Wondering about the non-fiction aspect.

Do you figure the Leo in for the theatre of those books? What does your Mercury do?

Remember you like king ... Another cancer for king where is your Mercury? I've never seen your chart Ami - do you prefer not to share it or is it because you like to look at others. I navel-gaze too much and am the opposite

I bought Inkheart, last month, and also The Road. I also bought the latest Kinsey Millhone, for mum ("X"). I read a lot of cookbooks, and books on digestion/gut health, because of my stomach condition (6th house Mercury/Ceres/Chiron/Sun).

I like some, but not all, fantasy books. It depends on the story. I gave up reading fiction for a long while, and am just getting back into it, this Summer.

Reading classics and historical fiction/history in general I atribute to mercury conjunct saturn, then the more philosophical books and non fiction about other countries to mercury trine jupiter, and mercury in pisces and a 12th house stellium in aquarius probably equate to science fiction and fantasy books.

though I do plan to read more of everything.

I read a book/a day until my early 20s, when I decided I needed to stop living life vicariously through fiction books. I switched to reading books I could profit from, like astrology, health, self-help, autobiographies/biographies, relationships, brain teasers. I think it's because of my 3rd house of learning ruled by practical down to earth, what's-in-it-for-me? Taurus.

But if I want to read for fun, I read Agatha Christie (Our synastry is conjunct sun, conjunct moon, and conjunct Mercury!!!)and crime writer Elmore Leonard (His sun and mercury conjunct my mercury, and his Nortn Node is in my 5th house of fun).

Oh and I also love travel books or books about journeys, expeditions and exotic lands, due to my North Node in Sagg.

ETA: i was going to forget books about wars and strategies. I have an intense 8th house ruled by Scorpio...

SF: Clark, Asamov, Niven, Halderman, more...

&F: Tolken, Brust, Zelazny, Piper...
Go and read Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen. Now.

History, especially Civil War and English Monarchy. Churchill, Kissinger, Chamberland... Oh, yeah, autobiography too... Tom Wolfe, The Right Stuff and Yeager's autobiography go well together, but read the book.

Physics and Astronomy. Go read In Search of Schroeder's Cat. Also now.

Clancy. Gotta love Jack Ryan. They ruined Sum of All Fears in the movie.

Babylon 5, Firefly, Star Trek, Star Wars, ranked in that order. Haven't decided where BSG fits in yet...

Who doesn't like a little James Bond or Jack Bower once in a while? Clint Eastwood? Charlie Bronson?

I could go on for a while with this...

Sun and Merc in Gemini/8th, Scorpio Asc

I love you already.

It often irks me when the latter volumes of a series aren't as good as the 1st one. I love the 1st book of "Cry of the Icemark" series. The 2sc is a complete let down. And the third. I didn't even finish it.

Same thing with Temeraire. Ooh and there'll be movie adaptation. I've been so excited ever since I knew of this news.

quote:
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Peter Jackson, who is best known for directing the The Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong, has optioned the rights to the series. Jackson added that Temeraire "is a terrific meld of two genres that I particularly love—fantasy and historical epic. I can't wait to see Napoleonic battles fought with a squadron of dragons. That's what I go to the movies for."[9]

Mercury is trine my moon, square my ascendant, and sextile Mars. It's in my tenth house.

With non fiction, it's usually involving things that I want to do with my life. Ideas I want to try. Mainly entrepreneurial ideas or self-improvement things. For instance I'm currently reading a book on amazon selling.

Ooh, I also love HP but who doesn't?
