Doesn't Mars and Venus show the type of person YOU are attracted to?In regard to your question, I think it is more of a matter of Synastry than Natal placements however. And if it isn't, then I don't know :< IP: Logged |

I'm pretty sure the seventh house tells who you attract into your life, regardless of your gender. IP: Logged |

In a woman's chart her Sun sign + houseplacement & Mars sign + houseplacement shows what qualities she's looking for in a man Her 5th and 7th house cusp signs also show what kind of romantic & marital partners she's attracted to.Now when it comes to the type of men she ATTRACTS You need to look at her Venus sign + Rising sign. The Venus sign shows the way she flirts and shows her femininity, her rising sign shows how she comes across.. EXAMPLE: A man has his Venus sign in Leo. You are Leo rising therefor show Leo qualities that he's attracted to.. A man has his Moon in Cancer, You have your Venus in Cancer or in the 4th. Then you show love and flirt in a way that's attractive to him. A man has his 7th house cusp in Libra, You have Venus in Libra. This man can be attracted to you despite his Venus or Moon sign For a man's chart his Venus tells what kind of woman he's attracted to esp physically. His Moon respresents the woman he'll "Marry" also his 5th and 7th house cusp are important as is the 8th house cusp but that's more sexual. A man "flirts" or shows his Masculinity with his Mars sign + house placement EXAMPLE A woman has his 7th house cusp in Taurus. She would be attracted to a man with Mars in Taurus IP: Logged |

The house of your Mars could be even more significant than the sign. For example if you have Mars in the 3rd house - you might attract Geminis and Sagittarians (the opposite sign).IP: Logged |

Here are my thoughts. They all contribute to attraction in different ways. Traditionally, a woman's Mars sign is what she finds attractive in a man. For me this has been true. I have my Mars in cancer and time and again I have found myself attracted to cancer rising or water ascendant men. Likewise, a mans Venus sign is supposed to show what he finds attractive in a woman. This has also been true for me. I feel like a delicate little flower in the presence of a man whose Venus aspects my ascendant😂 truly, even if their Venus is in the same element I know I have an edge. But for both sexes and all orientations, Mars and Venus both play a role in attraction. They simply serve two different functions. The difference between Venus and Mars is, to put it simply the difference between "oh my god, you're beautiful" and "oh my god, I WANT you." Both reactions are positive, wouldn't you agree? I find this to be true regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Then there's the fifth house. People who activate this just give you butterflies. You may not see a future with them, but they inspire you in some way. They make you want experiences with them. It's a love affair attraction more than a commitment thing I think. I think it's usually pretty mutually felt between the house person and the planet person. The seventh house represents "others" and what you lack outwardly. The qualities of the sign on the descendant are needed to bring balance to you, hence these are the people you unconsciously seek and/or draw into your life. I feel that this is the house that most accurately represents who/what you attract, regardless of what you are consciously looking for. Then the eighth house is obviously the house of sex, transformation and extremes. Things can get crazy with eighth house synastry. I find that with people who activate my eighth house, I may completely adore them one day or think they are what has been missing from my life all this time. Then the next day I am repulsed by them, hate them, want them to leave my presence forever. And it's the same with the planet person. Extreme feelings all around. Intense attraction and/or intense repulsion for both parties. All of these things play into who is attracted to you and who you are attracted to as well. House overlays are nearly always mutually felt. IP: Logged |

I've never been in a relationship with any Sagittarius. And that is my 7th house. My bf doesn't have it. However I have no idea what his asc is though. I just have to randomly find out what time he was born. lol IP: Logged |

I've noticed that certain aspects can attract men that display traits that are said to be negative in my signs - like someone trying to get me to cheat with them (Gemini planets are almost always blamed for that, and Pisces). Others will say that it's something I'm denying in myself - something I'd be capable of, that I'm suppressing - but that isn't usually true. It's weird, though. IP: Logged |

I think the moon is pretty important too right?Look up Lotus White's threads on attraction, she knows her stuff Got a question though, if say someone has their moon in the 4th hOuse does this mean they may be attracted to cancerian types? And say I have my Venus in the 9th house does this give my Venus sag qualities? Edit: good thread here http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/221321.html IP: Logged |

My husband has venus in the 4th and moon in cancer and I don't have cancer anywhere except for my Draco Sun but our venuses conjunct each other tightly. Also his IC is at 0d Leo and my EROS and ANGEL conjunct his IC and my Valentine vigintiles his IC.With my Ex, my Moon conjuncts his Moon in Pisces and yes neptune is strong in my chart. His moon is in the 6th conjunct DC and I have sun in virgo which is ruled by mercury and my mercury rules my DC and conjuncts his AC. With my other soulmate he has venus in sag in the 12th and moon in the 3rd and yes I have a lot of neptune including moon in pisces and I am a virgo sun with mercury ruling my 7th plus my moon is in the 3rd, lots of sag influence too. I have venus-mars in leo in the 8th and sun in virgo in the 9th conjunct MC. I am attracted to scorpio/ pluto placements, Sag placements and Virgo placements. 1. Ex has Sun in scorpio with Mars-valentine-Neptune in Sag conjunct my AC-Neptune and Moon in the 6th so he hits all 3. 2. Ex lover has Venus in sag in the 12th, Moon-Mars in aries in the 3rd, Sun square Pluto and also hits all 3. 3. Hubby has Mars-Uranus-DC stellium in scorpio, and Sun in the 6th, he is missing sag placements except for Neptune but that is generational and it conjuncts my AC. IP: Logged |

I have a tenth house Aries Venus. My husband is an Aries Sun, mercury and Asc. I have a Cap 7th house. Now I have casually dated loads of Caps but wasnt keen on getting physical or serious with them. I have an Aqua 8th house and yes I have dated an aqua and was almost interested in him but lost interest after few dates. I have a Scorpio 5th house. Im very introverted and behave very alluring when I used to date. I project myself as a very sexy/mysterious/passionate woman when im interested in a guy. And yes I have attracted many scorpio men. But the men I was serious about and still am (my husband) serious in a hard core manner were Taureans and Aries! These two signs cover my SECONDARY 7th and 8th houses!!! IP: Logged |

I definitely think so. I'm an Aries Venus in the 9th house and I like having a broad range of friends from different ethnicities. My friends laugh and say I date the United Nations ;-) IP: Logged |

My Venus and mars both Virgo. 99% of the time I am neither attracted to, or attract Virgo placements. I mostly attract my asc/dsc type. So Aries types. Strong mars, first house placements, etc. At least as far as attracting a certain type of person. Above all I'd say synastry though. IP: Logged |

I think we need to make a difference between what someone wants and what someone attracts and is able to get. Those are two different things unfortunately. I think the 7th, 5th and 8th houses show what someone wants. Now the question as to if they're able to get that person and whether that mate will closely fit the profile of their highest dreams is going to hinge on the condition of those houses, what planets are in them, what planets rules those houses etc... Vedic astrologers say that Jupiter is what determine's who a woman will marry, and I am still working on understanding that because applying it to Western astrology is a little dicey. I did know a woman who had Jupiter trine sun in her natal, and when transit Uranus came to a conjunction of her natal jupiter, she landed out of the blue a jackpot husband! A man who was a catch in every possible way! To this day, I am sure people look at them together and wonder how did she get him... IP: Logged |

Hmm, so I have Venus in 4t house which is in Aquarus, also my Juno is in Cancer in 8th house, and my 8th house is in Gemini. I have also Vertex in Gemini in my 8th. Does it mean that I can be attracted to Geminis and Cancers or attracts them? I actually find them pretty attractive, but Geminis for example must have some water Moon, and opposite cause of my Pisces Moon in 4th house, along with my Venus in Aquarius. My Mars is in Cancer in 9th house.. All these describes exactly what I want, someone who can show me emotions, but also give me enough space, soulmate and uniqueness, free spirit. Makes sense.Have I understood all this well?

Yes it's Mars. For a heterosexual woman it's Mars; the men she will attract. It took me years to finally get the light bulb moment that I do attract my Mars (not necessarily by sign)....it's the men we get not necessarily who we are attracted to. IP: Logged |

My boyfriend's 5th and 8th house ruler are Mercury. My Sun, Moon, and Mercury stellium conjunct his Mercury all within 0-2 degrees. His 7th house is Leo, my ascendent is Leo. Our descendent/ascendent angles are conjunct. I think it's safe to say I'm his "type" :-)My 7th and 8th house ruler is Aquarius. I love the uniqueness and humanitarian side of Aquarius. I don't really like their detachedness (is that a word?!). My bf is an Aquarius rising. I tend to be attracted to Aquarius types but whenever I find out a guy is an Aquarius, I run the other way, typically they're just not warm enough for me (I'm a Pisces, I need water signs!) My 5th house ruler is Scorpio. I think Scorpio men are la-la-lovely. Seriously, Scorpio sun, Scorpio moon, Scorpio Venus. Yes plz. As for my Mars sign, which is Aries... I'm not really into Aries men. I've dated a couple of Aries Venus men before but meh. I think the house rulers have more of a say. IP: Logged |
