Everyone experiences dreams differently. Some people don't remember their dreams. Some people have recurring ones...(I've never experienced a recurring dream so I'm really interested in why other people do). I'm also curious if there is any correlation between how you dream and your placements. Please tell me your sun, rising and moon (or any planets you think are responsible) and then tell me what your dreams are like. For example, I'll start:

Rising-Aries
Sun-Pisces
Moon-Leo

Most of the time, my dreams make zero sense. They transfer from one scene to the next very quickly. I dream in color. When something is really bothering me, my subconscious will make me dream about it. On the very RARE occasion, I'll have a dream, and within 24 hours, it will manifest. It's not perfect, but say for instance I dream about police and a particular person, the next day that person might get arrested. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, it freaks me out. I have 4 planets in pisces, which could also add to those types of dreams. Possibly Mercury in Pisces?

On another post, I mentioned I was dreaming about snakes a lot. I haven't had one in a while, but I'm sure it was the universe or a spirit guide sending me a message. Those type of dreams are rare too, usually lasting for a few months, depending on whatever I'm going through.

But most of the time, boring, nonsensical dreams

What about you guys?

Sun Aries
Moon Sagittarius
Rising Cancer

I dream the same way you do. Boring, nonsensical dreams. And I often dream something that comes true later. The only problem is, it doesn't do much for me because I never can tell what's a prediction and what's not.

I have dreamed of places I didn't know existed and then gone there. Buildings that weren't built yet. And then years later they are built. Once I dreamed about a friend I hadn't seen in months, that he hugged me till my back cracked and it was painful. The next day he randomly showed up at my house and the first thing he did was squeeze me HARD and pick me up!

When I was a kid, I had disturbing, violent dreams that made me so terrified I couldn't move when I woke up. People I didn't know being chopped in half, skinned alive, parents abusing their children...evil **** . I now attribute this to Mars in my twelfth house.

I get a lot of nonsensical dreams, but they are all emotional. Nothing is just images. And I am so much more emotional in my sleep than I am in waking life, it's like I am two completely different people.

Leo ASC
6H Capricorn sun
8H Pisces moon

I also have psychic dreams; I've "met" people in my dreams; I've changed and healed through dreams.

And I have astrology dreams!

Edit:
You know I actually have so much to say on this topic, I feel weird trying to summarize it.

Leo ASC, Libra sun, Sag moon.

Off the top of my head, I'd say that my Sag Neptune sharing the stellium with my moon (and Mars and Uranus, plus asteroids), and sextile to Pluto in Libra on the the Scorpio cusp (like my sun and other placements) probably contribute to the rich variety of my dreams, with the focus on moon-Neptune, and Uranus making them strange and Mars making them passionate and often violent, as well as themes of forest fires, dragons, and the like. (Though one dream made me think that the male dragon I rode was my Scorpio Jupiter and the female dragon coming up from behind us to kill me, a friend, and the dragon we rode was pure Scorpio energy.)

I wish I hadn't lost my old dream journal which I "time stamped" many weird dreams...I'd love to find the one where I was part of an Amazon army on Mars and we all climbed on the backs of dragons to ride into battle.

I also dream a lot of parallel worlds, some pleasant, some interesting (and the weirdest was one where no one had a head, instead a tentacle with an eye on it came out at top, but given that I walked among them without them noticing me, or me feeling that this was strange, I presume I was in the same shape!), and some much, much worse...one example:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum15/HTML/003758.html

I'm thinking of checking transits to that one...I'm especially curious what my entire Sag stellium was doing right then!

Here's one of my favorite dreams that I bet many on LL would like:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/004592.html

I'm going to check the transits on that one later as well!

my dreams are amazing! I cherish them. they are frequently very vivid. I have precognitive dreams frequently, and have been tapping into my abilities more recently through meditation. sometimes my dreams have a lot of symbolism in them, sometimes they are very realistic. I've also communicated with passed on loved ones in dreams, and I'm able to communicate telepathically with people I'm close to via dreams, though I don't have total control over when that happens... the more consistent I am with meditation, the more psychically open I am in dreams.

Forgot to mention that I also dream of world travel a lot (and also intergalactic, dimensional, etc). Sometimes it's simple and interesting (and, of course, surreal), and other times haunting. Like one I had to escape the FSB (think KGB) of Russia by getting onto a raft on the Khasan Coast (Siberia) trying to get to Japan...and as the Russian coastline disappeared and there was only water and mist all around me, I wondered if I'd really made the right decision.

Sag likes travel, so moon (tides/water) along with Neptune (water) with Mars and Uranus (Sag move to travel, plus Mars-Uranus getting on the bad side of extremely conformist forces, like say the FSB of Russia--granted, Japan isn't the haven of individuality that their media would make it appear to be, just like America isn't--usually--the wild crazy west of shootouts and endless sex that our media portrays us as, OTOH Japan has a way of making even Lady Gaga look uninspired ) may have had a hand in why I dreamed that.

I think I'd be such a natural in engineering dreamscapes for other people, be it for legal or illegal purposes.

Interesting. I went through a period like this. I wish i could remember the dates to see if Mars had something to do with it.

With an 8th house Pisces moon, I bet you are a different person! I am so curious about this placement. What do you mean by "met" people? Like real people from the waking world or the spirit world?

I dream lots and remembered lots. I had a dream diary between 2006 -2014. I have stopped now as I would just analyze now quickly and think about symbols fairly there and there. I go through lot of deja vu as if I have dreamt things already.

Scorpio Sun
Neptune in 1st
Neptune Squares Mars, Venus and Moon
Neptune trines pluto

Wow this is where I'd like to get! Big indicator of the neptune rising! How beautiful! I was once in an between state of meditation and dreaming where I heard a voice say, "You are more perfect than you know". It felt like they were trying to make me see past all my insecurities, and to let me know I was created as a perfect being. So now I try to tell people that all the time, especially if they are going through a rough time.

I really wish i could speak to loved ones i have a feeling I do, but cant remember the conversations.

Emotional dreams.

Makes sense with your 12th house in Cancer.

Thank you.

It's hard to explain because there are all sorts of ways that this happens. By "met," I mean a lot of different things.

I'll give one of the most striking examples.

One day last summer I went grocery shopping. The transiting moon was in Pisces and I was in the weirdest mood. I actually thought to myself, "I am too psychically open. This is NOT good." And as I crossed the parking lot, I saw a helicopter hovering overhead. I wondered if someone had died in the area. Later that day I passed the same parking lot and there was a news guy filming there.

That night I heard disembodied breathing in my room which is one of the scariest things that ever happened to me. When I finally fell asleep, I dreamed that my sons were telling me they found "the breather" in our bathroom. So I went in and it was like a public restroom, with a heavyset older man fully dressed on a toilet, looking ill. So I called the ambulance and they took him away.

The next morning I was still freaking out about the breathing sounds...I was actually here at LL asking for opinions and advice.

Then I decided to check and see what had happened at that parking lot. I learned that a local politician had been accidentally killed there, shortly before I arrived. They showed his picture. And it was absolutely definitely the man in my dream: "the breather."

I told this story to a Scorpio friend who promptly got out her iphone, looked up the news story, and showed me the man's picture, while we were at a Starbuck's. I thought I'd be cool about it but really had to fight to keep my composure, it stirred up such a strong, visceral reaction. I feel like his spirit followed me home right after he died, and I genuinely met him in my dream. I knew his temperament before I saw his picture...I feel like, I could meet people who knew him, and we could talk about him as if we both knew him well.

Just to give one example.

I feel weird saying these things because I don't want to appear sensationalistic. But this really happened exactly as I told it.

You're a Pisces. You understand.

ETA:
I should add that I don't watch TV, and there is no way I could have known for sure that anyone died, or what they looked like, before I looked it up on the internet.

It's hard to talk about because a lot of it is morbid.

Dreams predicting death, dreaming while people are dying, all 8H moon stuff...

That's really creepy. Maybe he sensed your awareness? Interesting fact: I just looked up psychic Allison Dubois's chart (based off the show Medium) and she has her moon smack dab in the middle of the 8th house conjunct Saturn. Opp Neptune and trine Pluto.

quote:

You're a Pisces. You understand.

Yep. I totally do. In August when the full moon was in Pisces, it was conjunct my sun, and I felt like my awareness was cracked wide open, with images, dreams, etc coming at at me at full force. I've never experienced anything like it. It was actually kind of draining. I can't imagine going through that full-time.

I LOVE this. I want to meet you in "the dream" and cry about something with you. I'm not joking. I want to have an emo-fest with you!
