My Sag & Libra stellium gave me fits when I was younger because their nature was so different, but I've learned to get those two to complement each other more often than not. My 5H Sag is such a prankster and so devil may care and not worrying about spilled milk or what others think and also has a hard time understanding why others aren't as resilient and thick skinned (note, I don't think of myself as thick skinned, but I am aware that compared to others I'm relatively so). My Libra (which includes Saturn) is much more serious (and also cautious, probably exacerbated by my Cappie Lilith), respects my obligations (though Sag is allowed to weigh in on what those obligations actually are), and does worry more about getting along and keeping up the harmony of "the group" (from a circle of friends to the community around me). But as Sag does care about ethics and Libra can compromise, I've learned to make peace with my two sides...most of the time. (To top it off, my Libra, save Mercury IIRC, is on the Scorpio cusp, as are a few Sag placements, which I think gives my overall energy more of a bite.)

A quick example of conflict: I had some neighbors that my Libra tried to get along with for various reasons but I didn't think like them, and Libra resented being restrained from saying much about it as they couldn't handle it well. Sag, of course, urged my Libra to let loose, but Libra/Scorpio maintained control, after all I might need them as witnesses later.

But one day those neighbors called me in as I was walking home while they were playing King Kong (2005), and as King Kong was tearing up NYC one asked if this was based on an actual event. My Libra/Scorp clamped down on my inner-Sag bursting to say, "Your asking that is proof that the white race is not superior." (They're openly racists, at least with me.) I also had to restrain myself from Sag giggling. But then as they asked each other (Sag urging me each time they did to speak up) one made the mistake of asking me since I "knew stuff." Libra carefully restrained myself to say neutrally "Snopes might know." That was my one gift to Sag as I said it with a straight face, and yet Sag, totally emboldened now, took control and I said, "But probably so. After all, the Principia Discordia (*) did say King Kong died for our sins."

Long story short, after explaining that (and also my Libra responding to one on how scary Eris the goddess sounded with "All the gods have a dark side, even Jesus"), those neighbors didn't invite me over anymore. Bad Sag.

LOL! Man I bet you have some fun stories..I have Eros and Mars in Pisces so I can relate to the try anything once thing. But you sound a little crazy...haha, good topic!

For me I think it's that people always think I'm nice and quiet, submissive and polite and proper when they very first meet me. Then they see the real me, the person who blows up in anger and passion very suddenly. I get violent and yell and say crazy sh*t and leave in a fiery blaze.

I've left SO many jobs in an overly dramatic way. Called an old lady boss of mine a c*nt and walked out with both middle fingers in the air, I've thrown attorneys' mail at the receptionist and screamed obscenities at her when I worked at a law firm, I turned a previous employer into the IRS and staged a walk-out of a few employees after we found out he was secretly audio recording us...oh the list goes on..

I also move a lot. I'll move to another state, get myself grounded, and then suddenly quit my job and move to another state, much to the disappointment and bewilderment of my family and friends.

I have a short fuse and big temper when I feel betrayed, belittled, or used. No one expects it from me when they first meet me, though.

I guess I gotta blame it on my Mercury in Sag square Mars in Pisces and Mars square Uranus. Charming and friendly Venus in the 1st and my friendly Sag moon gives off the good impression. Just don't cross me. I've vandalized more than a few people's property.

People seem to think of optimists as idiots unaware of the risks and dangers, but that's not the case (I'd say people like that are just naive). I'm well aware of the dangers and dark side of the world, but I laugh about it and carry on, and that's difficult for many to understand. But carrying on doesn't mean behaving recklessly (well not most of the time, and I was a lot more reckless in my youth) so I can make preparations, but that again goes into this belief that you can only be an optimist if you're unaware of the dangers of the world and people think I'm acting in fear. And yet once I've made some preparations then I let it go, confident that I can handle most problems that arise. And if there's not really anything I can do about it then I don't worry about it as it's pointless and carry on.

Perhaps the extreme version is like this line from the Princess Bride:

"We'll never survive."

"Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has."

The way I reveal my vulnerabilities can be confusing for some. Truth is it's not. I use it as a test to find people that I want in my life. I give enough ammunition to see how they would use it. I suppose the ability to bounce back enables me to play this game (thanks jupiter trine moon). And I know myself well enough to know what spot to reveal, what to do when it's clawed bloody, how to heal...etc... Over a period of time, this has proven to be an effective way to find my "diamonds" - people who see my vulnerabilities, and protect them.

I guess some find it confusing because they are too concerned with the immediate security and self-protection. Which is totally understandable. It's just that to me, no pain no gain.

For me, this is very much the case but for different reasons. I am Scorpio rising (emotionally private) but have Sag (notorious gossips) intercepted in the first house. People are always shocked by what I do reveal about myself and even more shocked by what I choose not to reveal (because it seems more acceptable in their eyes). I also have Saturn in Sag conjunct my Scorpio Ascendant so I appear to be way more serious that I actually am about most things and having Mercury in Cancer compounds that affect. Everything I say comes out with an extra dose of passion, no matter how minute.

I've had people tell me "don't take yourself so seriously" and been totally confused as to what they were referring to due to the difference in my intent and actual expression. I am often frustrated by people's (mis)perceptions of me.

My Pisces Eros trines my Scorpio Lilith 1°, so my problem isn't between those two. My problem does stem from an Eros opposition, though, similar to yours.

My problem placement is Eros at 10 Pisces opposite Psyche at 10 Virgo in 2nd house. I can't put my finger on the exact way it plays out, but it feels like I always have to choose one side or the other to be happy. It's like I have to choose either Eros or Psyche, never both.

You seem to have a good handle on understanding your Eros opposition, venus2tinkerbell, so maybe you can help shed some light on mine. It baffles me.

Yes, and used to own my own copy until 2011. I believe the "King Kong Died For Your Sins" was one of the "stamps" and random statements found throughout the booklet but often not included online. I also used to belong to a Cabal (essentially devoted to pranks--some very elaborate--for fun and sometimes even just to try to shock people--and each other--into thinking rather than accepting without thought...) which we called CFR, the meaning changing from time to time, our favorite being "Conspiracies For Rent."

My motivation is often kept secret. I think that is what makes it the most confusing for others. I act and others don't get it. I suppose that's mars/mercury in the 12th.

Having planets in 12 is like operating on 2 different planes. At times my Sun needs to be known for who she is and desires to share and express herself openly and confidently. Other times she dives deep into the dark places (unseen). She MUST be left alone, or if she tries to communicate and reach out from those dark places she sounds like a person unknown to the people who think they know her best.
