I got this request from Sven. Please, keep the requests coming. It is so much more fun for me to write an article when I know people are interested in the topic.

Mars is the planet of drive and assertion. There are many ways to go about “getting what one wants”. One can move like a race car—Mars in Scorpio. One can move like a rusty, old bike—-Mars in Cancer. One’s Mars is very crucial for the achieving of our goals, whether it be a date with that cute girl or entrance into Law School. I have several articles on the nature of Mars in the various signs, so will not repeat that here. I just wanted to give a simple introduction for those people who are very new to Astrology.

Mars conjunct the Ascendant
I LOVE Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, but admit that he is a force. He has Mars conjunct the Ascendant. He tells us that his signature style is to “get the job done” That is very much a trait of Mars conjunct the Ascendant. This native is a go getter. Whatever his field, he will, likely, reach the top. If he wants that girl, he will approach her. Don’t expect him to sit on the sidelines or ride by in his dinky bike with the Poindexter hat like Mars in Cancer.

Mars Conjunct the IC

The IC is one of the most delicate and sensitive points in the chart. Think of sensitive points on your body or in your psyche. One does not want harsh things to touch these parts of ourselves, whether it be words or actions. Hence, one has to pay attention to the planets conjunct the IC. They tell us about the nature of our childhood. Pluto conjunct the IC bodes for a violent childhood. Mars conjunct the IC bodes for a warlike atmosphere in the home. There may have been fighting or unrest. This made an impression on the vulnerable child, which he will, most likely, take into adulthood.

Mars Conjunct the Descendant

The Descendant is the angle of the partner. That which conjuncts this angle, we may cast off ourselves and look for in the partner. In this case, the native may be too passive and look for an overly assertive partner. She may become a follower to him. If the rest of the chart is good, this may work out. If not, it may be an unhappy relationship, in which she feels as if she cannot assert herself.

Mars Conjunct the MC
This is a power position, in the manner of Mars conjunct the Ascendant. This native will be known as an assertive person. It will be a part of his public persona. In his career, he will, probably, move up the ladder of success to achieve his dreams. This is a very favorable position, as is the Ascendant position.
The IC and Descendant positions are not favorable.

They can assert themselves. Of course, we are isolating one aspect and so there could be other factors but from this ONE aspect, they go after what they want.

its very true about the career part not so much the expression but i definitely can see the career.

its because i went on youtube and this astrologer named heather was saying that those with libra rising if its afflicted it would not express the beauty of a libra rising as fully as someone with no affliction on there libra rising. i don't know if thats a bunch of BS but that's what i saw so i was concerned. cause i am feminine but i also have this aggressive mars energy with me as well but i can be so charming but i need to cool it down well sometimes because people can seem to step all over my libra rising.

I know a lady with this position and she finds "manly" looking men very attractive i.e rippling muscles and toned physiques etc.

She also has her Mars in Taurus and so I think that that makes her more attentive to a man's build and form.

I know that society seems to suggest that on some level, all women are attracted to this. But more on a metaphorical level i.e the provider, the protector of the home etc.

I just don't stop until it's done. I ignore physical pain, mental pain or roadblocks. If my car breaks down and no one can help me? I'll walk 15 miles if I have to.
I feel fat? I'll walk/run for hours until feeling is gone.
Problems at work? I'll work until it's fixed.
Problems at home? I'll fix it.

coming from the 3rd house conjunct my IC id have to say i love verbal aggression in my relationships and i bring that with me into my relationships considering its my 7th RULER. Also i LOVE mars in GEMINI PEOPLE......i' m always attracted to people who have there mars in GEMINI and mars in capricorn but i love it so much when there mars is in gemini i' m assuming its because my mars is in a geminian house and its conjunct MERCURY as well. i also had an abusive homelife with my father verbally and physically it was awful.
