Hello all - this has been a burning question of mine for some time! I have all of these burning ideas for novels in my head, yet I still feel unsure. Also, I think spiritually, I'm either waiting for someone to come into my life (a soulmate) to help fulfill a soul contract or possibly for me to finally finish up with some healing. In any case, I'm really curious about my potential given that this is my chosen field. I majored in English Lit with a minor in Art at college. I have a huge admiration for many writers today. I've done some writing in the past - with fan fics and poetry that were published. One poem was so good, that I was asked to read it aloud in front of a group of fellow poets at college. I'm very imaginative, creative - the inside of my head sometimes feels like an epic fantasy world that only I am privy to going into...which makes it very easy to get lost sometimes. lol.

Of course, being that I am a person who lives in the real world and has a need to pay for necessities like food, bills, clothes, a roof over my head, etc...I've found it hard to convince others, along with myself, that I am capable of not only starting a project, but seeing it through to the end. Lots of self-doubt that I'm trying to work through...So, if one would be so kind as to look at these aspects that I'm about to list and get back to me with an answer or two, I'd be much obliged. I'm not going to post a chart, just list some aspects that I think are relevant. If, however, there are aspects that I'm missing or haven't thought to include, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you.

Sun, Moon, Venus, and Jupiter in Gemini...all in the 1st house. Sun and Moon conjunct Jupiter while Moon conjuncts Venus.

My Ascendant is Taurus, along with my Mercury (also in the 1st house), which conjunct each other. Mercury semi-sextiles Venus and sextiles Mars. Mercury sesqui-quadrate Neptune.

Mars is in 3rd House in Cancer. I know, I know, it's in its "Fall" or weakest spot...but I thought, since Cancer is a sensitive and creative sign, it would help explain some of my more "imaginative" or "romantic" qualities.

5th House is Virgo. Nothing there except Juno. She just happens to sextile my Chiron, who is also in the 3rd House, Cancer, with Mars.

MC is Aquarius, along with my North Node (10th House). Both my Sun and Mercury trine MC. Venus bi-quintiles MC. Moon sesqui-quadrates MC. My North Node Trines my Venus, but squares my Mars. Not sure if any of those two last aspects have to do with writing though...

My Vertex is in Libra in the 6th House. It trines both my North Node and Venus.

I know there are a lot of writer asteroids out there, but I don't feel that they have much impact when it comes to the "Big 12" as I like to call them. The nine planets, the two angles, and the Gateway of Fate (Vertex). So, please, if you have any understanding of these workings at all, please don't hesitate to let me know. And as I said before, if there's anything I should include or missed, don't be afraid to speak up! Thank you again!

I think you could be a great writer if you put your mind to it. You have a lot of Gemini which means you can be really successful in a writing career.

Any major Saturn and Neptune aspects? Does your Mercury rule the 2nd house? Have you listed all your major Mercury aspects?

I would say Neptune/Mercury in good aspect--sextile, trine or in conjunction.

Okay, wow! A lot of responses here! Well, I suppose I should post my chart, if it's not offensive to this section of the site.

My 2nd House Ruler is Gemini...so I guess, technically, yes? Mercury is ruled by both Gemini and Virgo...one being the 2nd house and the other being the 5th House in my chart. And all of my planets that I listed before, for Gemini, are in the 1st House. But my Venus is in the 2nd House! Knew I was forgetting something...

My Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus all conjunct each other. They're all in the 8th House, which happens to be Capricorn. My Neptune also sextiles Pluto, who is Scorpio, but in the 6th House. Saturn also sextiles Pluto.

But here is my chart, for further analysis!

Hi!!

Dear Ibringyouasong (lovely name). Why are you unsure? And why wait for healing when in fact healing is always possible at the HERE AND NOW? I'd say, you feel it, you have it GO FOR IT!! Just DO IT!! This in and of itself will be healing.

What healing do you need? And why so unsure? Most succes is achieved by taking the leap, jump, just do it! What have you got to loose?

I would love to read your book(s). Even though I am not much of a reader.

So ... what are you waiting for? Life is for us to create. Do it babe! No soulmate can make you sure of yourself. He or she will show you a mirror. Meaning, you will have to do the work yourself. But you have to be willing. So ...

COME ON! You can do it!!!!

Yes, Gemini you, you have got it!

So what will you write about?

I don't know if you're meant to be writer but I see the potential in your chart. Mars in the house of communication givew the drive for this and should be energized by this activity. Mercury, the ruler of your 5th house of creativity and 2nd house of income conjunct ASC in a Venusian sign. 4 nice planets in Gemini, including 3HR (communication) and 6HR (job). Mercury square NN - looks like it could be an important step towards the right path for you and the end of it there could be recognition (10th) for your possibly unusual (Aqua) works. I also like that Venus is trine MC, literature is art and Venus deals with it, usually as a profession. The MC ruler Uranus in the 8th opposite Chiron could bring doubts and the desire to remain hidden. Saturn conjunct Neptune could be problematic too but if Neptune convinces Saturn that becoming a writer is worth giving a shot, Saturn would offer determination and discipline. The IC ruler Sun in Gemini conjunct Jupiter - writing would make your soul sing so go for it! *kumbaya, my Lord, kumbayaaaaa*

Duh

Mercury in house 1

Jupiter conjunct Sun/Moon in 1st.

Mars in 3rd.

Mercury and Mars in mutual reception(by house) is potent. Many people don't believe in it, but here is the proof.

I have Mars(6th) square my Moon/Mercury in 3rd and 9th respectively. Jupiter-Neptune-Sun conjunct in the 9th too.

3rd house/9th house,Jupiter/Mercury strong charts often speak of writing ability.

Don't know if this article is accurate (seems so), something about Pholus can indicate writing ability when connected to Moon and/or Jupiter along with other things.

Hello! *blushes* Thank you so much for your response! It's quite lovely.

I've had a lot of hard times in my life and I'm still overcoming some of it. I'm in much healthier place than I was over a year ago. I had an abusive father that I was raised with. My mother divorced him after I turned 23. We lost the only home I ever loved. I moved to a new place and felt overly alone and depressed. I was saddled with a student loan, had taken a part time crappy job in retail, was overwhelmingly stressed. Then, six months after my father moved down to FL (and not talking to him for a year), he died right before New Year's Eve in 2013. Then, at the beginning of this year, my grandfather - who was more of a father to me than my own father - died. I still have a crappy job, but I'm hoping for something better...though I definitely feel an office job is something I'm not meant to have for the rest of my life. Or at all, to be honest. But I have bills to pay. I've come a long way in battling depression. I was suicidal at one point, but quickly redirected my energy into pouring out my feelings in a journal that helped me out of that darkness. So evidently, you aren't far from saying writing is healing for me...

I'm still overcoming letting go of my past. I miss my old home still, I'm still grieving for my father and releasing guilt in not talking to him until the day he died (but he couldn't respond physically anymore), and...well, I guess getting over old thought patterns that have kind of put rose-colored glasses on when it came to myself and how I viewed things (Sun Inconjunct Neptune, natally). I'm growing. I love it though.

I have a ton of ideas. Historical fiction, fiction, YA's...even a few script ideas based on novels that nobody in Hollywood has ever done before...

But somehow...I don't know. I can't bring myself to sit down and write. Like...I really love writing. I want to try and get a job in publishing because I love books so much...but I feel like there's some kind of...block in me. I don't know. Sounds weird/stupid/crazy, I know. But it feels like there's some kind of weight in my chest whenever I think about sitting down and writing. I don't know what it means...am I in the wrong atmosphere? Am I supposed to be more on my own in order to start my writing career and not living with my mom? Am I blocking myself? Can I un-block myself?

I see that I do have a lot of natal aspects to support my inclination for writing. I mean, I'm reading this article that was suggested to me by Comatoes (thank you)! I'm reading it and it kind of brings to mind what Aunt Anomalia was saying about Saturn duking it out Neptune and Uranus opposing Chiron that's making me doubtful...which I'm definitely feeling. I mean, according to this article, for best-selling authors, I don't have any stellar Neptune connections. I mean, both Mercury and my ASC sesqui-quadrate my Neptune...but those aren't necessarily good aspects since it's like a minor square is going on for both of them. Then I have Neptune Inconjunct Sun, Conjunct Saturn and Uranus, and Sextile Pluto.

Oh, and Comatoes, I checked out my Pholus, which I had no idea symbolized a "turning point." It's in Gemini, 1st House, and Conjuncts my Sun, Moon, and Jupiter. It also Trines my Lilith and Vertex while it also quintiles my Pallas and SN. Not sure what that means exactly...I'm hoping it's something good concerning my career.

Also, sorry I didn't blot out my name! I'll have to tweak the picture and repost the chart in a little while! Thank you everyone for your help and answers! I truly appreciate your help so much!

Write.

Just keep writing, developing your writing because you can and because you're creative. You don't have to make a living at it. Very, very few people make a living at writing. That's not why they do it. They do it to be creative, to tell stories, to entertain themselves and others, to enjoy life.

IF you follow your passion and develop your talent, then it is possible someone will see it, appreciate it and connect you with new and bigger projects.

Hey there ibringyouasong, like everyone said, you have a beautiful chart for writing, and you do have strong Neptune connections. Anytime Neptune aspects your Asc., Sun, Moon that is important Neptune connections. Don't discard squares and sesquisquares they can give great drive, but Neptune sesquisquares to other planets causes confusion. I have Neptune sesquisquare MC at 0 degree orb and my career and profession is one big jumble, I still have not worked it out, I have so many things I would like to do but too many choices. I'm trying to really pin it down but it is difficult.

Neptune/Sun aspects soft or harsh does not matter which, as long as you have an aspect between these two planets are good for acting, screenplays, character driven writing, imagination anything where multiple creative expression is needed.

You have a strong Pholus, and being connected to both Moon, Jupiter, Vertex, Pallas etc. can mean great things.

All writers have doubts, but keep at it, don't squash your dreams with your Mercury conjunct the Asc. in 1st house you have a lot to say to the world and language is your forte.
