What does it mean to have pluto square the mc? Links appreciated for detailed analysis.

How does the experience differ from having pluto conjunct mc?

Imagine the natal pluto-sq-midheaven having a transiting pluto conjunct midheaven. What's that like?

I googled Pluto square MC and I've found this: Pluto Square Midheaven - Desire for change. This aspect indicates that you will have to make a special effort to get along with people.

This is from Astromatrix. I'd like to add more, but when I click on the page, it gives an error!

Pluto square MC

This square indicates a situation in which the desire to transform existing conditions can cause conflict with employers, immediate superiors, parents and families, constituted government authority, or landlords.

When the natives are at odds with their employers it is probably because they feel they know a better way of doing the job or because they want more power in the decision-making provess. When their revolutionary tendencies are directed against the government and social institutions, they can incur official disfavor.

If they are in positions of domestic or professional authority, they may display autocratic or dictatorial traits, which will usually cause disharmony.

Pluto is currently transiting my 10th house. And it will be conjunct my MC point between this year and the next.

Since it will arch to conjunct my Mercury, I am already thinking about addressing my career woes once and for all.

Do I change career direction? Do I start up my own thing? Do I look for a new job?

When it initially touched my Mercury last year, I was unemployed and very depressed. I felt like my life had stopped

You absolutely need to make a change. I have pluto in the 10th house and it's conjunct MC. My life has had all kinds of twists and turns. The road to change is VERY difficult, but it's necessary. You need to take a step back and think about what you really want out of life. What makes you happy? What makes you passionate? Figuring this out is the toughest part. Once you have figured out your ideal career, the next step is to figure out how to get there. Google is pretty useful to help you figure out a step-by-step plan. Good luck! I know it's difficult, but you'll get through it. I promise!

I hear you. And it is by far going to be one of the most important decisions(if not the most important) that I will ever make- I feel.

Good luck Aries23, and thanks for your story.

I am particularly curious about how pluto square mc in a natal chart manifests.

Thanks Sikanda. Pluto on MC seems to be about 'owning' authoritativeness. Whereas, Pluto sq MC seems to be about clashing with authority figures while trying to do that. It's a curious case.

How about Pluto opposite MC? Is it similar to the square? I heard this leads to wanting power.
