Not when it's in Cancer, from experience.

My experience is like most things in the 12th. (Again what I've experienced myself or seen in others though I don't have moon/12)

They will keep some things private. While everyone does, 12th perhaps more so. What stands out is that they won't even have that one or two people that they share their feelings with. They will have a lot of feelings that just never get expressed, even to a spouse/SO. It's not troublesome at all. It's natural and feels normal.

I have my moon in cancer in the 12th and i am very secretive with my feelings. I also have a hard time expressing how i feel. I am much better at expressing how another person feels.

I know someone who has her moon in scorpio in her 12th house and she is not at all secretive about her feelings, her likes/dislikes/, her insecurities, nothing. She cries at the drop of a hat.

Some they reveal, some they don't. You won't even know that they hide anything. I'm with one and it took me a while to figure this out.

I think the problem with the 12th house moon is that they have problems expressing how they feel, more than being secretive about it...all tho not being able to say how you feel might seem like they are hiding something.

This is just from my personal experience with Gemini moon in the 12th house.

^^^ true.
Moon in Gemini also has this problem (Not knowing how to express certain emotions) so that certainly doesn't help.

I think the Moon here tends to turn inward, through no fault of the person. It is hard to do direct expression of one's feelings due to the suppressive nature of the 12th House imo

True story.
But sometimes I think that even the natives of 12th placement can't quite describe it. Even if they all understand it - like a shapeless fog.

That could do it. It's a flowing aspect but one that could mean a sort of feeling of responsibility that the world doesn't need to know everything that you feel and that you don't want to bother people with what you feel is not the most important thing for them to deal with. You may desire structure with your emotions and as long as things seem orderly in your head than the need for expression may not be there.
I'm just throwing it my amateur guess there.

I know what you mean.

Pisces moon is similar, for what it's worth.

It's like Scorpio is secretive. But Pisces/12H is one level beyond that, it may hide even from itself. It leaves no tracks or hints. Just once in a while you see it for what it is.

Exactly. It's not even intentional which makes it that much more hidden. Because it's not always in the conscious parts of the mind.

I don't have moon there but I'm going through something similar. Where I know that I feel something but I'm just not sure what exactly. (I just posted about it elsewhere) so there's nothing for me to express at the moment other than confusion.

I can see how they would keep some things to themselves (but then again, most of us do, don't we?), however having been close to a 12H Cancer Moon (opposite Neptune), I can tell you that that's not *always* how it's expressed. The person I was close to was very openly emotional and wasn't afraid to express their feelings, at least to me. But then again they had a very Firey chart so perhaps that contributed to the openness.

I have a 12th house Moon as well in Sagittarius sextile my Mercury in Libra.

I find that I can be pretty secretive with my emotions for the most part. But to the people I'm close to I find myself able to communicate my feelings very easily.

That is, if we're having an intimate moment which requires me to open up of some sort, but other than that I pretty much keep to myself.

I wonder what the difference is between expressive and non-expressive 12H moon people?

Maybe just a feeling of complete catharsis that some get, as in, "I've said it all, it's out there," versus a feeling of, "I haven't said it all, and can't."

Maybe Mercury contacts to the moon create the outlet.

But even then, if Mercury is in the 12H, or in Pisces, or hit by Neptune, then that exit route may be fogged over.

Ah, kinda like having something just looming in your peripheral vision? Sometimes it moves into the line of sight, sometimes it moves away and you never knew what it was? 12H is so Twilight Zone.
