I'm expecting to leave in a few minutes, so I don't have time to carefully explain my thoughts...besides, I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for yet.I recently saw (while bouncing around the net) someone say that people are not things, we are processes, and that's certainly true of me and many others. I've changed as a person so often that by now I'm just not sure at all on who and where I'll be in 2025. And I've seen it happen to many others as well. Not everyone, but most people to some degree. I'm curious about the astrology of this. Surely it gets talked about more than just the transits. Of course it would throw a monkey wrench in the "knowing a person based on a single placement, like which Venus and moon cheat" since a person grows and changes, so maybe not. I should be getting a ride any minute now so I'll leave it at that.

The progressed chart very much speaks to the process I think... the way the progressed chart interacts with the natal, how it's touched by transits. You know. Also you might sometimes step into 9th harmonic mode and a whole other You is activated-for instance. IP: Logged |

The more I look back in retrospect through an astrological lens, the more I can see how things happened as they did.Pluto transiting my Sag stellium (sextile to my natal Pluto) was a major time of disruption in my life (included Mars-Uranus in Sag), but also a fiercely creative time (5H Sag) and even mysticism (Sag Neptune, and moon). And when I had a specific life-altering experience (though in a way it was like my entire life before then had prepared me for that moment, and I doubt I'd have had that vision without that background), one rooted in death and mysticism, my transiting sun, moon, merc was in my 12H Cancer sextile to Saturn transiting my 10H (which fits), while Jupiter (natal Scorpio) was moving through my 8H (Pisces in my case) which connected me mystically to someone praying for me at right about that time (after she had a psychic nightmare about me, and she and I have an interesting interpersonal chart as well) in addition to facilitating the vision that my 12H and 10H were also inspiring through pain to help me rise up like a Phoenix, as my Pluto transit (5H) was demanding of me. (There's more I could add.) I wonder how my life would've been different had I instead been born with the same chart (houses, etc) in Russia or Japan, and I have interesting ideas, but the one thing I don't know is what would've happened to me as Pluto transited my 5H in my teens...it surely would've been interesting, yet I believe I'd still be a very different person than I am today...but still within the framework of my natal chart.

Within certain parameters, that is... because obviously, some things are beyond one's personal (or conscious) choice and have to be accepted as a given.
Interesting enough, I had very different views in 2005 than I do now in 2015, and me and my younger self would probably get into a fierce debate...yet despite this, I see my chart at work in both of them, especially my Libra Saturn sextile to my Sag stellium (and conjunct my Libra stellium).

I would say that people with many planets in fixed signs and people with fixed sign risings are least likely to change or are more resistant to change, though of course, they go through processes. If you find that you are experiencing a lot of changes and you find it relatively easy to roll with the flow, you may have a lot of planets in mutable signs or you might have a mutable rising sign. Of course, there are more things but that's what comes to mind right now. IP: Logged |

I just remembered, the 7 signs of Scorpio! http://hubpages.com/religion-philosophy/The-7-Symbols-of-a-Scorpio My mom has plenty of Scorpio and Leo in her chart, though she also has some mutable aspects as well. I think it's the mix of Scorpio and Leo that makes her unable to forget or forgive the indignities and abuse she suffered as a child, and that prevents her transformation into a more evolved Scorpio. But maybe all she needs is the right transit... IP: Logged |

I like what you said. Of course we are not finished entities, we are constantly changing, and perfecting ourselves. Whatever happens to us, ultimately helps us achieve self-realization.IP: Logged |
