So I was having this discussion with my friend last night. I say it's the Sun and she says it's Mars the tells how he will express interest and pursue a girl. Emmm who is correct? IP: Logged |

I've typically used a combo of sun/moon/asc. My Virgo mars does play into it but more second fiddle I think. IP: Logged |

I have been going over and over this one with a guy I'm really interested in and who says he's interested in me too, tells me he likes me BUT is completely passive. Just keeps saying he wants to go out sometime but as of yet hasn't taken action. (No, I'm not chasing him at all. I'm waiting quietly.) He defies everything I've learned with astrology. He is(are you ready for this?)...Sun - Aries Mars - Leo (conjunct Jupiter and the is the square point of a T-square with Venus/Uranus) Side note: Moon in Virgo You'd think there would be some action on his part with all that fire and tension, right? So... can just the Sun/Mars dictate action? I would have yes, until I met him, lol. IP: Logged |

It`s interesting, Moon was mentioned, cause curiously I have seen the Moon-sign so clear in people`s behaviour (including pursuing possibly), and almost like the Sun/Mars-combo really acts against the backdrop of the Moon-sign. Maybe it is just because the men I tend to meet have quite emphasized MOons though. lol IP: Logged |

My $0.02...It depends on the synastry. Some women are attracted by my Leo Moon, others get hooked my my Gemini Mercury. So the first, I feel comfortable showing off and acting "cute" for. The latter has me talking on the phone till 3 am. My Taurus Mars is still in the mix, which is why they are usually making the initial move. IP: Logged |

The T square involving mars, uranus and venus points to unstability and unusual dating circumstances. someone who might be attracted to unusual dating situation. He may run hot today, and cold tomorrow. Are you attracted to this type of energy and how do your planets mesh with his T square? IP: Logged |

Very observant Belage! He is polyamorous, explained by the Uranus/Venus opposition. He's also a dominant - I'm a submissive (monogamous). My saturn/juno are exactly conjunct his venus - his saturn (conj my sun)trines it too, so it helps stabilize that t-square. My mars and s. node is conj his mars (out of sign), jupiter, moon & n. node. But the way things are going I don't think anything is going to come of this.

That's really interesting Ceridwen. In what way are the moon's emphasized? Aspects to personal planets or to the outer planets?

Polyamory for someone with his uranus/mars/venus aspects makes a lot of sense. Yes, your respective saturns are attempts at stabilization, but I don't think Saturn has that power until one gets a little older. If you both haven't gone through saturn return yet, he has yet to feel the urge to get stable. Also if he makes a move, it will be suddenly, probably when you will have lost all interest in him, or if you get antagonistic to him, both cases might turn him on. Unfortunately, that's how natal Venus opposite Uranus and square mars tends to play out. IP: Logged |

Hmmm i really think its mars and than a mixture of sun I myself pursue my interest in a water way very scorpio/cancerish i dont pressure you but i make myself known like i feel my cancer mars a lot but than i feel my scorpio sun as well and thats what gives me balls and a back bone especially in the beginning and once i have her than my venus shows and moonI have sun and mars trine by sign and i feel like i have no problem pursing a girl but im not forceful but not shy either how about people with say sun square mars how do they pursue? Those are the two most masculine planets it has to play a role as to how a man pursues a women I know we all get so wrapped up in astrology and signs and all that stuff which i completely believe and agree with but We cant forget basic psychology and the environment the person has grown up in effects there self esteem and no matter how much fire somebody has if they are not confident because of past experiences or abuse or just lack of support they will never show the true potential of the sign IP: Logged |

Mars and Mercury... since a large part of pursuing involves communication going back and forth. A shy or withdrawn Mercury, wouldn't be all that forward. IP: Logged |

Yes Odette, I took a peek at a few male charts of men I know who aren't so keen to "chase" woman and most of them had mercury in Pisces, Virgo or Cancer... I think you're on to something! IP: Logged |

Thanks Belage. I'm much closer to my 2nd Saturn return than my first I don't want to hijack this thread but I really do appreciate the insight Men make me wanna pull my hair out sometimes, lol!

Depends on the synastry. Masculine pursue, feminine attract. If he has Sun in Leo, Mars in Aries, and she has Venus in Aries - it will be his Mars. If her Venus is in Leo, his Sun will do the pursuing. If she has Sun & Mars in Virgo w/ his Venus in Virgo he may be a bit more passive. Then it gets complicated depending on whether he likes being pursued by a woman or not. And if she's comfortable pursuing a guy. In the "her Mars/Sun - his Venus" scenario she will do the pursuing, but since she's a she, she may have to manipulate and guilt him into things. He will fall for her tricks every time. IP: Logged |
