Virgos may be physically submissive, but they're equally strong in their own right. I think that's why Scorpio men like Virgo women - they're not clingy, and they won't fall apart the moment a Scorpio gets busy with something else. But they're also very similar signs in some ways. It definitely takes the right mix of energies to make it work. IP: Logged |

I do know of a married Scorpio (I'm sure there's many more out there) though it's probably not the best example, considering they have a pretty tumultuous marriage. He has a stellium in Scorpio (Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto), Venus in Sag and Mars in Libra. She is a Libra Sun, Mercury and Mars. She also has her Moon in Virgo, Venus and Pluto in Scorpio. By my best guess, she is a Libra ASC and he is a Leo ASC. They have a Venus-Pluto conjunction, which could explain the tumultuous, addictive and even explosive at times, partnership. She is surprisingly much more controlling than he is in public, though I suspect he has the upper hand in private. I may be a little biased, but I've always been fond of Virgo-Scorpio pairing. From what I'm reading on here, it seems like it's a fairly popular combination. Virgo women are independent, able to take care of themselves but also feminine and mysterious enough to catch and keep the attention of a Scorpio. I've personally never felt the need to 'give up' any power to a Scorpio male. There's a mutual respect for power, if anything. Earth and water can work well, since earth signs really are more emotional than most people would think. Scorpios are one of the signs who are willing to dig deep enough to see those emotions. An evolved Scorpio would not make this demand of you. And my impression is that your power is what makes a Scorpio attracted to you (not that he's interested in submitting to it, though one lesson Scorpio is here to learn is how to "let go"), and the less evolved will set out to destroy it (as they consider all power not their own to be a threat, or one day will be, and perhaps under the mistaken belief that by destroying your power they can add it to their own). The 7 symbols of Scorpio: http://hubpages.com/religion-philosophy/The-7-Symbols-of-a-Scorpio When I was 15 and living on the streets, I was close to a Scorpio male (18-19) who was symbolized by the Wolf. Just to be clear, there was nothing romantic between us, but he let his guard down around me and showed a sense of humor he didn't show around many, and anyone who threatened me had him to answer to (and he didn't usually do this for others in our Krew). Many of the older girls liked him, but he was loyal to his girlfriend, and she was no submissive plaything. She let him be the boss, but she had her own ideas that she didn't get his permission on before acting on them even when it was a risk, and she didn't hesitate to come down hard on any girls who got too blatant in trying to seduce her beau (without being a neurotic ***** about it, and she never felt threatened by my presence). She was strong and driven in her own right, and I believe that's what attracted him. Physical appearance wise, I think she was less attractive than many other girls the Scorpio could've chosen, but she had spunk and drive, which made her intriguing to him, and someone he could relate to and respect (in a mutually respectful way, think Gomez and Morticia Addams). But in no way was he spineless, and I don't recall her ever actually yelling at him...firm determination on her part was one thing, but not raising her voice and cussing him out as she'd sometimes do to others (male and female). If that Scorpio still lives, then I imagined he evolved even more. You wouldn't have to surrender your power, just be sure you never used your power against him...and join your power to his as he would yours. Even as a teenager, he was no Christian Grey and would've sent any submissives who surrendered all their power away from him in contempt (or pity, which for a Scorpio is about the same thing).
