I think that "boring" for me would be someone who thinks in a fashion that is too linear.I like conversing and so if you are an interesting conversationalist. That already has me sitting up. Boring people have been all sorts;fire, air, water, earth IME. So if we go into great detail about the weather and how much rain we need,I am not enjoying the conversation. Most conversations that go into weather details are with feminine Sun signs(sorry guys )- no matter the Moon, Mars, Venus, Mars. This is especially the case with fixed feminine signs. I find that I have to conserve most of what I say so that they are not easily offended IP: Logged |

The most boring person I've ever met had a Sun/Moon/Mars stellium in Virgo and a Libra Mercury. Very few harsh aspects in the chart.I've got a Taurus stellium in the 10th so I'm probably just as boring as the next Earth dominant but I could never really vibe with Virgo.

Well atleast you've accepted it. Haha Like I'm boring in certain ways, not others.. Depending on my mood I might either just want to sit there and be depressed and think. or other times, which is more often, I'll go out and do fun things. IP: Logged |

Me too, whaat.Saturn in the third opposite midheaven. Sun/Mercury and Mars in the 4th, Venus in the 6th. I'm extremely quiet and I don't care for small talk with strangers or friends. Which makes things hard for a 19 year old. IP: Logged |

I know, I used to be like that too! The socially acceptable thing is to care about the little trivial stuff because once you learn to enjoy that life becomes so much better and connections more frequent etc

I do not mind or find people boring, I guess people are certain way and passionate about certain things. However I take more offence when people wouldn't appreciate interesting things I have to say or share. I am like - hey I am trying to make this thing interesting and you are just not putting any effort. IP: Logged |

hehe, I want to start out what kind of person I consider is fun. I am mainly water and fire dominant. I really like it when someone has some depth and are passionate about something. Also random! I don't know what it is. Could be my Venus/Uranus trine and Mercury/Uranus square. I love it when someone is unique.Okay, down to what I think can be boring is someone who is emotion-less. Doesn't express how they think or feel/too secretive. I do notice I get bored when someone has Taurus placements. (Sorry Taurus ) -- people I know were Aquarius sun/Taurus moon/Pisces Venus/Libra mars and the other one is Pisces sun/Aries moon/Taurus Venus/Cap Mars. I can be boring too but I have people telling me I can be fun. It really depends on how they are as a person. Their vibe reflects on me. IP: Logged |

I wish I had met a boring person! My Uranus seems to drag me towards the most ridiculous people and situations :-/ But if I had to choose one it’d be a Libra Sun/Venus/Mercury+ Aqua Moon. Like a robot..Oh, and boring to ME, is anyone who cannot go with the flow verbally. I can say all kinds of goofy things, without being mean, and I cannot stand people that try and damper that!! I also have that Cappy, sarcastic streak going. Some find it hilarious and others don’t. Personally, I love sarcasm! IP: Logged |

This is EXACTLY how I feel, and exactly how I see "boring"! I am pretty low-key as a person, I don't need hard fast excitement to get me going, nor do I enjoy being around many people for long. A true introvert I guess you would say. Socializing for a long time exhausts me. BUT...I do have a goofy, sarcastic sense of humour and I too come out with the most outrageous things, and if someone tries to dampen that...nope!! Not having it. I have a really hard time with people who try to break my spirit or don't quite "get" how I am. You don't have to LOVE it, but at least be tolerant and open-minded to it, as I am of them. The one person who sticks out in my mind as being a "downer" has his Cancer Mercury square Mars and Saturn. I couldn't pull the goofy side out of him if I tried. Anytime he cracked a silly joke it felt forced. His mind just couldn't "go there" and let loose. He would often stare blankly at me as if he didn't know how to respond. Boring!! IP: Logged |

I'm starting to not really be able to get on with inauthentic people who can't really connect or are scared to connect... I'm about to turn 39 ( my progressed planets have been slowly moving into the 8th the last 10 years which maybe is the whole I have to have authentic and connection). I just had a friendship relationship end and he had an issue connecting and being authentic... it was like pulling teeth to get him to do stuff (and he is 25)... Taurus stellium- ASC, Sun, Moon, Venus 12th house-- Sun, Moon, Venus, Merc, Mars (Mars in Pisces). When I would try to get him to do stuff and he wouldn't move he would get p issy and start projecting onto me saying I wasn't fun... and all I could think was, I have a stellium in Sag, a stellium in the 5th house and my ASC is in Gemini... I might have my Moon in Taurus but I know how to have fun when I have the time... lol. I have never had anybody tell me I wasn't fun UNLESS I was stuck in my head or sick, which then I usually stay away from people until I get out of it. OR if I have to get a lot of work done I'll go into business mode. lol. Oh well. lol IP: Logged |

The most boring person I am aware of is an old ex of mine. We got along just fine, but he didn't stimulate me on a mental level and he never seemed to have much to say. He wasn't very interesting either and I'm probably talking about a Sagittarius Moon (his birth time is unknown). He's a Cancer Sun with some placements that make nice aspects to my chart. While the relationship between us was a lot easier than my current relationship, the communication between the Cancer Sun and I was lacking and I ended up having to dump him. Regardless, it was actually a few years later that I realized how boring the Cancer Sun was. IP: Logged |

I think this is very subjective!I have met many boring people that has no connection astrology-sign-placements wise! Everything from that guy who has Venus in gemini and will never ever shut up! Always talking about details about his life thats super boring. and never asks you any good questions. Or That Aries-sag girl I met, who always talks on and on about herself too. Her every sentence is beginning with "I think this and that and yadayada". She will ask a question to you just to give herself an opening to say what she thinkss about that matter. SOO BORING! Or that Leo sun and moon, capri mars virgo venus girl who is soo arrogant and is all about "me me" and will shut you down and always has to have right about everything. See I don't think you can blame signs and aspects etc on this. It's all about how that person uses them energies. And if that person has self insight and is willing to change him/herself. So, I have a confession...I find *most* people boring. Put me at a party where people are chatting about their kids, their jobs, their crushes... and I look for a blender to stick my head in. I mean, how can people walk around and never have a honest to God thought in their heads? I know it's not them, it's me. Maybe I'm supposed to learn something humility from it. I don't know... Here's the problem, from my chart... Scorpio rising: Not inclined to just open the door instantly to people... 8th house Sun and Mercury: seeks depth, gives deep insight Mercury is highly leveraged: It is the apex of a t square from Saturn stationed Rx in Pisces vs Uranus and Pluto in virgo, it's on the vertex almost exact, and final depositor (and sun sign ruler in Gemini)... My Mercury is one of the hardest working Mercury s you can buy. Like a Chevy racing 350 with the throttle wide open, but up on blocks. It runs and runs, even if it's not on the road. Moon in Leo/10, apex of a t square of its own: Don't you all understand it's all about *ME*! LOL! Yeah, I really hope I'm not that bad. But I do have to say, if you're talking with me, I need you to be talking to *me*, not just reciting a monologue you're having in your head... Unless you say that that's what you need, then I'm happy to help. SN in 3rd, NN in 9th, conjunct Venus: Yes, I'm a Gemini. But trivia and small talk? I'm over that. Give me the big picture. Give me the better tommorow. Move me toward the 9th house. OK. To be fair, plenty of people find me boring, too. The select group that find me mutually not boring usually touch one or more parts of the complex geometry of my chart. MY astrological take on this is a greater appreciation of how much stronger aspects are over signs and houses.

In spite of having Aries Sun, Mercury & Mars, would you say your Virgo Moon makes you quite reserved & introverted? How is your Mercury aspected? Any 3rd House placements? IP: Logged |

Points at herself Me! But in my earlier days, when single, a couple Capricorn sun guys were pretty dull to me. We all have Saturn in common so maybe he's to blame. IP: Logged |

I can't think of anyone. Maybe that's because I understand why some people are quiet? I deal with social anxiety. I can be that person. quote: Originally posted by racole12: I'm starting to not really be able to get on with inauthentic people who can't really connect or are scared to connect... Hmm, I'd find the one forever tittering on about their feelings boring, especially as feelings are as likely as the weather to change moment to moment. I imagine I'm in a minority on that given what shows are popular (often with a focus on extreme feelings with yelling, crying, shipping and cringy love triangles, infantile behavior, and the like), though I can still say with confidence that if strong emotions make one "deep" than there are plenty of "deep" toddlers out there. And just because one isn't constantly broadcasting their feelings doesn't mean they don't have any, and may have hidden depths you don't even suspect no matter how intuitive or empathic you think you are. That should not be construed to say I find talk of feelings boring, just that it shouldn't be what defines them above all else. If someone is a drama queen (or king)...well I guess technically they're not boring, but I don't get anything out of hanging around them. Also complete strangers that expect me to spend my online time exchanging smilies and meaningless conversation with them. I had to cancel Instant Messenger because of that. It's one of the reasons why I don't do social media or get into texting people over the phone, at least beyond very limited utilitarian activities. But that said...the most boring person I can remember had no sense at all. He said that he lost his tarp over the fence (into a fenced yard of an unrented space) and I instantly picked up the rake right in front of me and fished it to him before helping him put his bed together (as requested by a friend of mine in charity who was not allowed to tell me of his background), only to learn he had 2 mattresses rather than a mattress and a box spring (and his frame would support nothing else) so I instantly understood why he was having trouble putting it together as it was impossible (and to think he was a man significantly older than me...). I suggested a used futon from a genuinely cheap hippie store and he never heard of a futon and then said he wanted to "sleep high." I guess that makes him an earth sign for being so adamant to have what he was familiar with, but I'd have thought an earth sign would be more sensible than that. (Maybe a fixed sign?) But as for myself, I can see how my being mostly Cardinal air and Mutable fire (with a touch of water) made me so glad when I no longer had to interact with him and his incredibly dull mind and sad lack of even basic common sense. I did try to learn a little of his past which might've made him more interesting to me, but he wasn't having it. (I refrained from asking, in genuine curiosity rather than trying to be rude but knew he'd see it as rude, if he'd been in prison most of his life, or taken care of by his mother until recently, to have no sense like that. If the answer to either was yes, I might've found something of interest about him, if he were willing to talk more about it.) Because he was so boring I didn't make an effort to look up his chart. However, I strongly suspect that his fridge having almost nothing but several cans of beer in it contributed strongly to his lack of any sense at all. (Though my alcholic father could be a blast...he had a warped sense of humor similar to me so I didn't have to censor myself around him, nor did he have to with me. But then he was a Sag sun and I have a Sag stellium. That also helps us laugh off exchanged sarcasm and have fun with witty banter, even at each other's expense.) Oh, btw, I am social, but don't do the club and bar scene. I did allow myself to get dragged to them a few times in my youth, and also went to pick one up who was too drunk to drive home...all I'll say on it is that I don't see the appeal (with the notable exception of live music...sometimes). It's usually just about getting laid anyway by people who can't tell lust from love (and are so easily fooled by appearances), and do things that leave me unsurprised when he or she talks about how terrible their love life is. I'll find more interesting people elsewhere. (Specialized clubs are another thing, and I also once enjoyed a farm dance, but I knew many of those there, and at least heard of almost everyone else.) And I'd LOVE to talk to a self-aware robot about many things, which would include a comparison/contrast of their own programming and thinking (and perhaps emotional) processes with biological and cultural programming of the human psyche to a sapient robotic mind. It wouldn't matter if the sapient robot had feelings (even strong feelings) or not. I'd just have to know their perspective. That's probably more my Sag energy than Libra or Scorpio. IP: Logged | |
