Gaaaaash my mom just looooooves to criticize me and just be annoying and Its like she gets annoyed when she has nothing more to criticize me for. I can't stay in the same room as her for more than a minute before she`ll find something wrong with me or remind me of something that is wrong with me. Aaaah give me a freaking break... ugh. Why the love for criticism why turn a pleasant convo into an annoying "let us talk about what`s wrong with you" convos? Like is it possible to get a virgo venus to just lay off the criticisms and give their loved ones a freaking break?? If so, what is the ingredient to that?? Lol. Cause belive me even when she has NOTHING on me she still WILL find something to nag about. She`s been like this ever since i was a child and i can see she loves to criticize and gets bored in non criticizing convos and will find a way to turn it to something she can start with her criticisms. Do Virgo venuses find criticizing a beautiful trait since venus stands for what you find beautiful and all that stuff?

I feel your pain! My mom and boyfriend have Venus here!

That how you know they love/care about someone. LOL

My mom has embarrassed me at times with this. But then I think my Aquarius Mars enjoys the reaction I get most of the time.
She told me I was dressed like a biker chick from the 70's last week.

Oh and then my sister has her Moon in Virgo. And she says that the hand me downs she gives me, keeps me from dressing like a weirdo all the time. haha

They are capable of saying nice things though. And since they are so critical, you know they actually mean it when they say something nice.

My boyfriend liked my dress today. A few days ago, I wore pjs to his place and he pointed out a coffee stain that I did not even notice on my thigh.

I have a cousin that's a Virgo and when I go shopping with her, she will be honest. I tried on these heels, and she told me I was walking like I had a stick up my a$$.

I have no Virgo in my chart. Though my moon and Pluto are in the 6th house.

What helps to remember is that Virgo types are usually much more critical of themselves. However much criticism they're dishing out, they're giving themselves about five times that amount, several times a day. They're not saying those things to hurt your feelings, but because they really do want to help you. It often has a hurtful effect on many people, though.

Still, Virgo is an earth sign and symbolized by a woman. They're sympathetic and warm underneath that icy exterior. They respond best to calm, rational communication. They're generally reasonable people who can understand where other people are coming from. Have you tried having a calm sit-down and discussing how her nitpicking makes you feel?

As an aside, it is possible for a Venus in Virgo to modify their critical habits, just like with any other placement or aspect. Most people find an area to focus their critical energies on so they don't drive their partners or family away.

Well, I don't know what else to tell you, then.

I really hope this doesn't turn into another Virgo-hating thread. We already have enough of those on this forum. I'm getting the vibe that you just want to complain about Virgos and your mom in a thread, though. I guess I made the mistake of thinking this was a productive discussion.

Really? Thanks, that helps.

Dreaminess,
Well, yes they can and they do. However, if the nitpicking is overshadowing your perception of the other aspects of their love, then the solution is pretty simple - just let them know. This Venus will really and truly listen to what precisely angered you and why. Will make a mental list of do's and don't's and will soften their approach.

Of course, you may also receive an added bonus analysis of their own whats and why's into the bargain. But they will be more than willing to work on themselves, you and the relationship to make you happy.

Just tell them calmly and constructively as far as possible. Or just end with a hug.

Seriously?? lol. I wanted to know if its possible to make a virgo venus be less critical and more pleasant in how they show their love or whatever not to bash them.. lol. Every sign has a bad trait and a good trait why is it so wrong to talk about a sign`s bad traits? I`ve been dealing with this my whole life from my mom and now i want some answers to how to make her stop all the critical nonsense. Its annoying to deal with..

I suppose it depends on what "better" and "pleasant" mean to each person.

My husband and three of my best friends have virgo venus (and other virgo placements). Giving constructive criticism is one of their best traits. That, and extreme attention to details, along with practiced, almost "clinical" precision.

While they're not antagonistic or go out of their way to peck at me, they don't hold back and don't go easy or coddle me either. Shrug, oh well that's how I like it. To some others it may look like they're being overly critical. To me they're just being helpful and I'm glad they pick up on the small details that I miss.

I dont recognize my mom in this cause i have had plenty of convos with her telling her how it makes me feel but she won't change or she might behave, get a little better right their and there but within an hour she`s back again with the criticisms . But, my mom`s moon is in leo though do you think that might have something to do with the constant criticisms? Cause it seems like she wants to stir up some drama a lot of the times.

I dated 3 Moon in Virgo people. And my brother also has Virgo Moon.

When in Venus, the individual usually considers the qualities associated with Virgo as "admirable".

When on the Moon, the individual usually considers the qualities associated with Virgo as necessary to feel "loved" and nurtured.

Usually parent-child relations- just like any other relationship really, comes from an agitation i.e opposition,square/inconjunct aspect of one personal planet to another.

This usually translates to two people just rubbing each other the wrong way or being
unable to read each other's emotional cues.

A Gemini Moon parent may find that they way they "nurture" their Cancer Venus child misses the mark.

The child may express themselves through emotions , whilst the parent will expect the child "talk it out".

The parent could also be more social whereas the child is more introverted. So they may(through trying to "nurture"(Moon)) push the child to be more extroverted.

The thing is that with parental relationships is that it is intensified. You can't break up with family when they irritate you.

What is your Moon/Venus/Sun/Mars sign?

Wow so accurate and thank you. We dont have a lot of compatible elements. She is a Scorpio sun, me Libra sun, she is a leo moon, me a cancer moon, she is a virgo venus, me a leo venus, she is a cap mars and me a libra mars so its a lot of incompatible energies to deal with haha And i also got moon square mercury do you think that can show a very critical mother?

Her other placements influence too, you know. As a VIV myself, I HARDLY ever critisize anyone or anything (I don't go easy on myself, though). I notice flaws, some may irritate me, some I find cute, but I mostly keep it to myself, unless my opinion is asked for. Then again, I have a Saggi stellium and Jupiter is my dominant planet, so it just doesn't bother me most of the time This is about day-to-day matters and how I am in relationship with others. My husband is a Saggi Venus with Earth Void and mostly air in his chart, I really don't thinks we'd be together, if my VIV (conjunct Asc, I also have Mercury in Virgo) was so horrible

So what are your mums other placements? Where are her Sun and Mercury?

I know some are worst than others and unfortunately my mom is in the bunch that are a pain in the butt. But what is the secret to make a very critical virgo venus be less critical and show their better sides?

Virgo Venus in my opinion is both critical and complimentary. Like Simon Cowell...they give their real opinion on things.

Weird. I don't do that. At least I don't think I do.

But for example the coffee stain on the pj's. I would do the same. I know that I don't want coffee stains on my clothes.
I wouldn't want to walk like I have a stick up my butt while walking in heels. (I don't want to walk in heels LOL).

So it works like this:
As mentioned, we're five times more critical of ourselves.
We're critical because we want the best for you if we love you.
In a nutshell. I don't think I'm as critical as we're made out to be but I don't think any of us realize it if we are. It's not our intent.

Yes. "Better you hear it from us, than some outsider" is usually also part of the intent.

I have a Virgo venus and while I am critical of others I am more critical of myself.

My way of showing love is doing things for you such as running an errand, cleaning, buying a gift, treating you to lunch, etc. I will criticize you but it's only because I care; I want to "fix you".

I am not at all affectionate, and I feel most appreciated when my lover acknowledges all that I do for him.

I'm very shy when it comes to matters of the heart. I am not flirtatious, and if I like someone I won't pursue them unless I know for a fact that they like me too.

I am very picky when it comes to who I want in a partner. I have a checklist, and if someone doesn't meet my requirements then bye bye.
