She is the most easy going, loving person I know. She is very compassionate and very forgiving. She can lie when she doesn't want to hurt someone's feelings or when she feels bad about something surrounding the circumstance, but she can easily be deceived too. She sees everything with rose colored glasses and she has many problems with certain people because of this. People try to abuse her goodwill.

Since always I have had to "guide" her through which person is trustworthy or not. I can smell things miles away, but to her the smell is always good... She just thinks everyone has good intentions even when the opposite is pretty obvious.
Since quite awhile, her boyfriend is part of the family, and me and him are the ones always opening her eyes. What seems obvious to us, takes some explaining to her. We just smile at each other because we know how she is and we love her to bits.

It is really true that Neptunians suffer by their own hands. I see this with her for many years. They fool themselves many times. They have no malice though and they have great hearts. They have no intention in hurting others even when they do so. They can be confused because the reality is not really what they perceive. They want to give to others all they have plus what they don't have.

This is just based on my experience with my cousin who is more like a sister to me really. She is better these days and less "naive" for the lack of a better word here, she has learned with many bad experiences through life.

Issues with it.

It was statements phrased as questions so really there was nothing to really answer.
We deal with generalization here and it can be fun even. This was a generalization that was borderline attack. People are reacting because the op jumped about 10 steps and made the determination for us that all neptunians are liars and cheaters. That's bold. Do you want to be with a liar and cheater? Does anyone?

What do you think would happen if I went onto a Norwegian website and started asking why they can only fish and are otherwise are just uselessly taking up land? (I don't think these things LOL)

But I hope my story may somehow help, or at least shed some light…

As a young Neptunian (back in the day), I was quite flaky and yes, cheated on a long term partner once. I won’t for a second defend this action, but I can tell you that this came about because I was quite conflicted. I really did not want to hurt this person. I could have left them before following through on the cheat, and in hind sight, it likely would have hurt them so much less if I had- if I had only found a way- but at the time I could not see that as a real option. I was afraid that if I left them then, they would be taken aback by my sudden withdraw of love, and possibly either think they were to blame or they’d go through the next ten years missing me and wondering what happened. So instead I became the problem and sabotaged the relationship. And yes, there was also the element of not truly knowing what I wanted. What if I had left them and then realized that I did truly love them and wanted to be with them, but then they wouldn’t take me back? This aspect of the whole thing was particularly selfish, I’ll admit. But it did work. As soon as I cheated I understood that in fact, no- I did not love the person in that particular way anymore and I needed to move on and let them start their healing process. And they actually did move on and heal rather quickly, as best I could tell. I still often hate myself a little for the whole thing (but self-loathing is also a Neptunian trait).

If I can even fathom a summary, aside from any moral to the story, or morals in general (because Neptune don’t abide that shiz!) it’s this: part of being Neptunian is that you see too much. Since you don’t naturally fall within prescribed lines, you see a vast universe of sides, ideas, and options, and it’s not always clear what is the best course of action. You’re seriously just feeling your way through life! We also do hurt deep inside, pretty much constantly, and so don’t want to see any pain befall other people- which is of course impossible. As with most actions that are so personally emotionally driven, they have ironic results. We annoy the person whose party we said we’d attend but then didn’t because we got distracted, or were too optimistic with our schedules, or whatever XYZ. We think we’re telling the truth when we’re technically lying because we’re not sure what the real truth is, or again, because we do not want to hurt the person.

Bottom line is there's no black and white with us. We're all and everything all at once. How do you define rules or a logical path in that scenario? YOU DON'T.

I do agree with the others that there’s something in your chart that’s helping these experiences of yours to manifest. If I can recommend anything, it’s that you get to know some of us outside of a romantic relationship- you needn’t avoid us all together, and maybe this friction is helping you to discover something about yourself. Maybe it’s all for the good in the end. But that’s my Neptune talking.

Well I suppose you *can* ask them to, it's just that the results won't be what you want.

About answers for *bad* qualities. I see replies explaining why one may perceive such qualities as bad. Some explain how neppy works and how it may affect the natives. Those are pretty good answers. Quite in tuen with the whole gaining understanding of the planet's energy and using that understanding to deal with each other better thing.
