I can answer this personally. Shyness has been a key theme in my life, which sucks when you're a dude.Saturn, Cap aspects can do the trick. Or Scorpio placements if afflicted. I am a scorp rising. Sun conjunct Saturn. Venus in Cap. Im positive these are the positions that make me so quiet. Although the good thing about Saturn is you get WAY better with age. Like, INSANELY better. Only up until 2 years ago did I start breaking out my shell. Couldn't make worthwhile friends, was funny looking, and relationships? Pfftttt. But now everything has made an unexpected U turn. I noticed Saturn will SUCK at first unless it makes POSITIVE aspects to something. Such as Saturn sextile mercury. Saturn will ALWAYS give you graceful age in whatever it touches but depending on the aspect is whether you can control its power easier. So for example Saturn conjunct Uranus Would take you a while to master your uranus qualities. But in time it WILL pay off. You are learning a karmic lesson in rebellion. So once mastered your Uranus will eventually GROW in a prophetic, ambitious way. Saturn square Mercury Your thoughts and speech are battling your disciplined, mature, wise nature. But if you can overcome they will blend and everything you say will sound "messiah" like. Saturn rewards whatever it touches its just conjunctions, oppositions and squares make it harder for you to accept its lessons Thats why people with mars square saturn are so ******* mean. Their warrior, go getter nature is fighting their father saturn. You WILL Learn your lesson no matter the aspect cause if you dont then thays your ass

that would make sense, you probably have some othee nice aspects to saturn or mars to balance it out.But I still gotta stick with what I said. I had a friend back in the day who would go into a blackout rage every other 2 days and always fight his parents For real him and his dad would jack all the time. IP: Logged |

^^ I second Saturn in the 11th house. Mine is in Capricorn. I'm incredibly shy in public.I have planets in most of the "social" houses - Sun & Mercury in my 7th house, Moon & Mars in my 3rd, Neptune & Saturn in my 11th, and a "social" Moon & Mars...but I'm not social at all. I'm usually pretty nervous around new people and large groups until I figure out what's going on. IP: Logged |

If you're like me, then you'll likely have:Personal planets in hard aspects to saturn planets in 12th with difficult positions tSaturn affecting personal planets negatively Virgo Venus & Mars My shyness comes from the fact that I am a private person when it comes to love relations. My tongue gets tied, can't stand the dude's female friends being around, & fear clouds my ability to take risks with new interests. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry to hear about your date, unfortunately this has happen to me as well. I personally don't like match-making because it makes me feel worse and pressured. I need to slowly move into situations, I do better and can relate to people better, this is not always possible though.I don't know if it's shyness or introvert, it could well be both. I'm not afraid to talk to people, it's more about self-conscious or awkwardness. I have a lot to say, but don't know if other people will be interested in what I say and don't want to bore them, so I don't say too much until I get to know people better, hard to explain. But from my own chart: Stellium in 12th Sun, Mercury, Mars, Moon in 12th Gemini ruling 12th house, Mercury inside the 12th house Water dominate Venus/Saturn Venus in 1st (having Sun in 12th makes this placement hard to express...along with Saturn attached to it) Neptune/Asc. Pluto in 3rd Moon/Neptune Sun/Chiron Chiron/MC I can say it has gotten better as an adult, since progressions and just getting older itself can help one feel better with who they are. Anyone know of any asteroids that represent shyness? IP: Logged |

I don't deal with shyness, but its the anxiety and awkwardness..that's a problem to me. I wouldn't say that anything in Saturn in shy.. I would say a conflicted mars, maybe?IP: Logged |

What about Venus square mars in natal? (I don't have it) At least in the context of approaching a romantic interest. 12th house definitely. Though, we can change over time. I've went from shy and wanting to talk to strangers to not shy and just wishing that I didn't have to pretend wanting to talk to them. LOL IP: Logged |

I don't think so. One is related to fear/nervousness/awkwardness and one is a choice. Well, put in extremely basic terms. My opinion of course. IP: Logged |

Yes, 12th house sun and yes to introversion vs shy. Capricorn placements are introverted, not shy IP: Logged |

I don't think either is a choice. Introverts just prefer to not be around people constantly, thats just their natural temperament. Shy can be feeling anxiety around people, yes. IP: Logged |
