Do you guys tend to be passive? If you think someone is mad or breaks up or stops talking to you, you react by going on your shell even if you want to work it out or find out why instead of communicating and clearing the air?

Is it easier for you to hide and avoid instead of confront and verbalize? Have you been accused of been passive aggressive or passive?

The one I know with this placement isn't this way, but it could be that his Mars is also in his 8H, and he has A LOT of fire to his chart (including Aries sun and Sag ASC). And at least when he feels protective of someone, he's very direct about confronting someone he feels threatens loved ones, and he can be scary about it.

But as for confrontation with loved ones? He's usually easygoing and he forgives easily (perhaps the combination of Sag and Aries mixed with the Pisces moon). But there are times he retreats (typically to play his guitar) and everyone knows to leave him alone when he's like that. If you don't, he'll probably explode...he'll regret the things he says and does (including violence) later, but that won't stop him from doing it right then. That could be the 8H on his Mars trying to regain his equilibrium so that he doesn't lash out and hurt those he loves, because he has to protect his loved ones from himself as well as from outsiders.

The only passive Cancer Mars I've ever met (in real life and on here) is my dad, who can also be rather forceful with his opinions sometimes, especially with politics.

He has Libra Sun, Pisces Moon, and Leo Asc with Pluto and Saturn conjunct in H1.

So, while he doesn't act like most Cancer Mars people I know, he can still be opinionated (but I think that's probably his Leo placements).

Other Cancer Mars folk I know get MAD. And then they try often to get even.

Well I am not really talking about being opinionated more so just about shying away from talking about things that need to be addressed to get back on track with a relationship or friendship and been passive, going on their cave instead of talking things out like a mars in aries is more inclined to do or mars in scorpio I am thinking.

They can opinionated, I am not questioning or inquiring about that.

I will comment me. I have Mars in Cancer in 9th house. I can be passive aggressive, can really be mad at someone, and my anger can be really bad thing. But only when I feel that I have to protect myself. Can keep my emotions deep in myself, probably cause of fear not to be hurt. That's bad I know, and I'm aware of it, but can't help myself. But when it comes to an problem, I don't hide from it, I want to solve it immediately.

I always want to talk about whats wrong, i don't really want to evade anything but i have Leo planets and my Mars has almost all squares to it so I'm probably less passive aggressive than most Cancer Mars.

Yeah I have observed you in here, you are not passive and say what is your on mind, you need to I feel; I could see that as a Leo thing yes..

What are you Leo planets? is your mars at an angle and what aspects does your mars make?

Wait wait both people who have mars in cancer who I had in mind also have moon in Capricorn...(friend I lost touch with but am very fond of and should reach out to, and my friend's recent guy she just broke up with).

I would think that mars in cancer would want to talk about their feelings and clear the air but perhaps Mooon In Capricorn prefers to hold it in and distance themselves expecting the other to push for clearing things out.

I think that's fair to say. I have not met a single Cancer Mars person who has issues telling people exactly how they feel, especially if they're hurt or angry (or just disagree with you).

Cap Moons, however...no, they don't talk about their feelings often (even the ones with Cancer Suns, in my experience).

the only person I know with this placement is my ex-husband who is one of the most volatile people I know... So I don't know if it's the aspects at play or what but no, not passive, at ALL.

I could see that, I am very close to a Moon sesquisquare mars-uranus-dc.

Its an emotional mars so I could see how it could be very volatile yes and witnessed it...

Interesting. I looked into it I suppose that Mars in cancer or mars aspect moon could lead to emotional eating; that is something I never did but my husband did and so I ended up second hand emotional eating you can say.... He is the first guy who got me to gain weight. He has Moon aspect Mars, definitely an emotional eater and my brother too who has mars conjunct moon has had issues with binge eating..my grandma had an eating disorder. she practiced emotional eating as well and had mars in cancer inconjunct moon.

My friend he has mars in cancer and he has comfort food at his office at all times offering to everyone, he kept Oreos just for me constantly haha. Come to think of it my Grandma that I just mentioned would give me a an entire spoon of pure sugar when she had her coffee and I stayed over LOL..she was always pushing me to eat more too but I was a terrible eater growing up...that changed when I met husband.

I have the Mars Cancer. Lucky that I never had an eating disorder (tg). Had more of what they would call a red stomach/ acid stomach. Worrier. (Mars square MoonVirgo).
(I'm doing much well with that now. Been taking an acid inhibitor every day.)

My version of what a 'comfort food' meant? was anything that didn't make my stomach hurt.

Good night....

Would the moon aspect mars also relate to comfort drinking? My friend has their Cancer mars trine the Scorpio moon and it seems like when she is upset she starts drinking a lot and partying a lot. Almost acting like she doesn't care what happens to her.

Lots of Scorpio moon drink. So do Aries moon. I think Martian and Plutonian can drink a lot

If your Mars is in cancer, where the moon is will be very important. I know several cancer Mars. Most passive aggressive is the cancer moon. But the cancer Mars with air moon are very logical; they do let their enotions go overboard at time but can laugh about it later.

My ex would do this too. When he would get upset, he would immediately start chugging whatever was in sight.

My significant other has Cancer Mars 3 degrees, in his first house. I joke with him that he's my little hermit crab. He does seem to retract into his shell when he is hurt. He can be passive agressive, and he can hold things in that bother him. He had an air moon though and sometimes that helps his moods. I really love cancer mars though, they are so protective of loved ones, caring/nurturing and very sensitive. Most cancer mars have really big hearts from what I've noticed

My ex was SO passive! He's a freaking Capricorn. Doesn't make sense. But his Mars is cancer so that explains why..
