This week is kickin my butt bigtime (Happy bday to meeeee!). I need some laughs. Ya'll are funny across the boards soooo:

Which sign or placement is funniest in your opinion?

Or
What is the funniest thing you can think of when you think of specific signs ?

Yeah I get it's random. Go with it.

For me: Funniest people tend to be Virgo or Gemini, or heavy influenced in Virgo and Gemini...Youz?

Cappies are funny as HE!! if one can muster some dryness/sarcasm/goofiness/offbeat-ness.

I think fire signs/placements are pretty hilarious a lot of the time.

Mercury in Aries, Sun in Sag, Sag Asc, etc. I'm pretty sleepy still, so I don't have a lot of hysterical input just yet. Hang in there.

The one sign that seems very consistent in people that I find funny have some Pisces and/or 12th. (I'm not sure about the planet Neptune)
Could be sun, moon, mercury, but usually something.

Happy birthday

I find a lot of people funny. It's easy to make me laugh. It's hard to say who is the funniest or which type of humor I enjoy the most.

Based on my experiences, scorpio influence people make the best elaborate jokes/pranks. Virgos and gems - lots of word plays and double entendre, typical mercury influence. Sag and aquarius sense of humor is more along the weird genius-mad scientist-absurd type. Sag influence - may tell tall tales and exaggerate like there's no tomorrow - I have this sag sun/virgo moon friend, I love talking crp with him. Caps seem to like corny jokes, some sarcasm too. Aries and Libras are more likely to make the more risque' jokes.

Oh recently I've been watching Quentin Tarantino's movies. He is an aries, and some of the movies he directed are golden.

This is a scene from "Django Unchained":

It's harder to catergorize other signs' sense of humor. Leo influence is sort of "different" - it's hard to explain. Often it's not about the jokes they crack, the things they say and do. It's more about the way they do it. Charisma, I think.

Capricorns are funny in a dry humor sort of way.
Geminis have that stand up comedy type of humor.
And Sagittarians make jokes by insulting others.

I think Air signs in general pretty much rule comedy, especially Geminis. Love Ellen Degeneres and she's an Aquarius. But my favorite comedian as it turns out is a Cancer (Gabriel Iglesias).

Happy Birthday btw!

I agree with Caps having the best dry sense of humour. They can destroy an audience with one laconic word!

Yeah, Gems and Sags more stand-up comedians.

But hey, have you noticed? Taureans with Gem/Aries placements also make great comedians. Theirs is more earthy, big ha-ha humour. For eg. - Seinfeld, Craig Ferguson, Bark Baker (excuse me for including youtube parody-makers here, but he does have a *certain something*)

If you really need a laugh, go watch some Craig Ferguson videos. The man is an incorrigible flirt and very Scottish. He cracks me up.

Aww see?
Seinfeld is so boring to me. I usually change the channel when it comes on.
Now "George" is the funniest on that show to me. I do like that character.

Haven't seen George! But I liked the earlier seasons of Seinfeld, before he became rather pompous (ugh).

Was just making a point about Taureans with Gem placements. Out of those, only Craig is on my personal list.

My hubs is a Cappy Sun/Gemini Moon AND he's British. Talk about dry and quirky! He's known for telling dad jokes but he can also be very insulting with his "humour."

I'm a Virgo Sun/Sag Moon. I had to learn to keep my mouth shut because what is funny to me usually hurts someone's feelings.

My daughter is the funniest. She has my sarcasm and wit, but she can deliver in a blunt way without hurting feelings. She's an Aries Sun/Cappy Moon.

The people who've always made me laugh the most have mainly been Cancers.. Sometimes it seems like they can be really good story tellers.

Scorpios can be funny, if they have the right placements outside of their Scorpio placement. Maybe such as a Sagittarius Mercury. I've also known some pretty funny Geminis

EDIT: back when I spent a lot of time in the Astrodienst forums (way before I became a member on here) we had a thread talking about this subject. I think I remember that we found a lot of well placed Aquarius/Uranus aspects were prevalent in certain comedian's charts and such. Or, the right types of Mercury/Uranus aspects. I think one of the charts we looked at, the person had a kite with Uranus at the apex, or something like a Aquarius Mercury

I guess Jimmy Fallon is a Virgo (no wonder I think he's so hilarious).

This is one of my favorite clips from him and Aziz Ansari (who is a Pisces).

This makes me laugh until I cry every time I watch it.

I seriously laugh until I'm out of breath, no matter how many times I watch that.

I think Jimmy Fallon's hashtags are also really hilarious.

The only person I know and is very very funny is a Virgo, sadly I don't know anything else about his positions.
My brother is great at telling stories, he's a Cancer Sun, Aries AC and Aqua Moon, his Mercury is in Gemini, 3rd house, both Moon and Sun trine Uranus in Libra, 7th house. Also, Jupiter in the first opposites Uranus. He's a journalist specialized in sports, and he's exceptional with words.

Capricorn Moon.

Russell Brand is a perfect example of Gemini humor too! Its funny that everyone keeps talking about the dry wit of Cappies and I see it so much more in the Gems. I have soooo many Cappy friends and although I love them to death, they dont understand humor to save their lives, especially dry humor.

@muddy ~ that got me laughing.

Well there is something about Jonah Hill, I just love him. I see his sun is conjunct Neptune and Jupiter....mysteriously funny? And his Mercury is on my sun.

@Violets That was so good!!

Y'know Tarantino's movies, as sometimes dark and graphic as they can be, always have really funny parts in them, i love that guy's sense of humor, always have.

In terms of late night tv hosts i like Conan when he has the animal experts on there and they bring zoo animals with them, watching him interact with them and his one-liners are funny as hell.

Generally i like a lot of blue humor. I like Dave Chappelle alot, and really zany humor also.

So I'm probably thinking of Pluto-tinged humor, that appeals to me.
