Hey there. I always find myself going out in the world and unable to connect with people on a deep level. I can like talk to them and all, but for some reason it always feels like there's some sort of wall separating me from everyone else, and I can't seem to get past it. It's like Saturn's right in-front of me all the time. What would contribute to this?

Here's my natal chart: *taken down*

Does this happen with people your own age?

Do you feel like there is an intellectual barrier, like your interests are more advanced (Aqua stellium)?

I'm wondering, how does it manifest?

Scorpio ASCs can be intimidating without even trying; Scorpio ASC conjunct Mars....possibly even moreso.

Usually it does just happen with people my own age. I read an aspect to the midheaven that described something related to that. Sometimes I feel like they're not interested in connecting with people and they're interested in doing simple things. It's always been easier to connect with someone older than it is to do this with someone my own age.

I do feel that there's some intellectual barrier, but I feel like no one wants to get intellectually deep on certain subjects. It's like I'm here wanting to get into the deep intricacies of something like music for example, and they're like, "Oh hey, I like Adele" before doing something else (nothing against Adele, just using her as an example). It makes me feel deeper than most.

I initially felt that Saturn somehow had a role, since Saturn wants to restrict things. It's like I want to say something but then feel like it would do no good, so I don't say it. When something bad happens, I get upset and feel like I should've done something, but now that I'm aware of that, the situation no longer arises.

Hi Electro

Your Saturn is right on the fixed star Vertex. I have chiron exact at 27'50 aries conjunct my moon 29'52 aries (on fixed star alrisha!!!)

I know exactly how you feel, know lots of people that I can call friends yet i can't connect with them on a deep, meaningful level.

Ugh, it sucks so much.

I just searched up certain planets conjunct fixed stars and most of them are completely negative, including one where one may die by a sword thrust

I can't seem to find the fixed star Vertex but the asteroid in my natal chart is in Gemini.

EDIT: Found an article that doesn't state some form of inevitable slaughter (thank goodness). Also found Vertex

I think your entire generation may have this problem, not all the same of course. To much time with devices in hand I suppose.

Don't sweat it. I see you have Mars conjunct Maja on Asc op sphinx on dsc.
That is a big plus, IMO, just need to learn how that piece bests enhances YOU.
Maybe you intimidate without intending to do so, just a bit. Just be interesting to others and then choose who you wish to connect with,
Jupiter and Pallas have the asteroid Brigitta sitting in between. Stronger and deeper connections.

I had an aqua friend that would say things like that. He was an aqua heavily influenced by saturn.

You have aqua with Saturn at an angle and none the less the DC which has to do with interpersonal relationships. With Saturn there you would get along with older people and when you are much older with much younger people. There is usually age gaps with interpersonal relationships with Saturn in the DC. Maturity is very important.

The majority of your planets lie in the southern hemisphere, and many lie near your 4th house cusp. Therefore, most of your energy is introverted, seeking an answer within rather than looking towards to others.

In addition, your moon lies in the 8th house and although it is well-aspected, it forms an opposition to Pluto which shows a need for intimacy and depth, which through the opposition, shows it is not readily available to you.

Yeah Saturn is literally in front of you lol.

I have Saturn in the 7th, same feeling. I'm pretty serious and critical when interacting with people, don't buy what people say very easy.

My first thought was Saturn.

- It's conjunct your 7th house (of relationships/other) cusp (I also have Saturn in my 7th house)

- Your 11th house is ruled by Mercury, which has a square to Saturn.

- Your 3rd house of communication falls under Capricorn.

You said it's easier to connect with older people and this has been my experience as well.

The good news about being able to connect better with adults is, by the time you become one, you will have already had a lot of practice relating to them/us.

Electro you just seem to have the problem of being too mature and intelligent for your current station in life...not SO bad, just a unique situation for now.

Yes. You look nice, Electro!

But Scorpio ASC people typically have a mysterious air that is a little tough for others to get a read on, and engage with.

Electro DGX,
WOW!!! I have the same problem and I have my 7th House in Libra conjunct my Libra Saturn. It is so very frustrating because I have a very hard time connecting with people born between 1980 thru 1987? Forget it, we will not connect, at all. I only seem to connect with people who are significantly older or younger than myself. In addition to that conjunction, people born during those years have Uranus and Neptune in Sagittarius while the 1986 thru 1987 folks got that Saturn in Sagittarius. Can you imagine how those energies impact my Pisces Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars? Its like a huge barrier ostracizing me from the rest of my generation. As for a lovelife? Sometimes, I think I'm hopeless because these energies SUCK!!! So, yeah I can totally relate to what you're going through.

I looked at your Aries Saturn out of sign conjunction to your Taurus DSC. Your 3rd house cusp is Capricorn. You have so much air in water houses. I see why you are frustrated by the lack of depth in your day to day life and with your peers.

I'm a Gemini Scorpio Ascendant..... I try to get along with everyone but sometimes there's just going to be a conflict of interests and values. That's probably why I only have like 1 true friend. lol everyone else I feel as if it is just surface.

My best friend has Scorpio Ascendant as well. He's a Cancer

I've always been a pretty mysterious person too. I didn't realize it until I got older though and my friend got me into astrology. I honestly wish some things I could just unlearn but that's not ******* possible lol

some of the **** in my head

I think it is just the way that people perceive us too. I've always wondered why people have given me some of the reactions and responded to me the way that they did. Hurt my feelings a lot... I just didn't understand it but I guess, now, I kind of do in a way.... I don't know. I guess we are intense to other people sometimes without even trying to be. It's just who we are. I don't ******* know, I can't understand unless I have an out of body experience. We just crave self-control and all that jazz .

I can attest to saying that it is hard for me to get close to people that I don't have any interest in getting close to. If I feel like it is just going to be a surface kind of relationship like at work or something then that's fine. It's unhealthy to do what you don't want to do anyways. I'm always down to talk about some deep intrinsic stuff though. I don't expect just anyone to reveal their deepest innermost secrets 100% all the time just like I don't expect myself to. It doesn't mean that we can't connect and talk about some cool stuff.

Yeah I know it sucks when you have awkward conversations and what not.... that's why I always try to break the ice early. Something I still suck at after years of failing. lol

Everybody is afraid

I have a Gemini Moon and Scorpio Asc as well (except my moon is in the 8th and I have a Virgo MidH). I strongly believe this moon/asc combo is the reason. I identify very much with not "connecting" with others and feeling...just distant or extremely separate from others. Scorpio Asc makes me crave the deeper aspects of life. I have very little interest in the day to day superficial things that occupy the mind/time of most ppl. That is where the feeling of being different comes from. You know inside of you there is this world most could never even begin to imagine and your desires would both shock and intrigue if ever revealed, yet here you are having to talk about Adele or the weather. Alone in a crowd is the feeling. Then unlike others who may feel this way, Gemini moon will detach itself from what does not intrigue or satisfy it. It is not a conscious detachment, it just happens and we end up finding books, hobbies, academic/intellectual pursuits, and inanimate objects more fascinating than ppl. But then, at times we feel alien and cold for this behavior. We begin to wish we could relate to others. Must be especially odd for you considering all that Aquarius energy. Aquarians are already very unique as it is.

Thank you all for your responses. They've been very helpful.

As for the technology thing, it really makes me mad when people are more interested in doing something on their phone than hanging out with me (total attention ***** I am lol). But seriously, if I, let's say, invite someone over to my house, and all they want to do is play on their phone, I might as well send them home because they're too busy playing on their phone rather than wanting to do something with me. I know it sounds rude but this is just me being honest, despite how much of a technology freak I am personally lol. Being with people who are like this is possibly one of the only times I want to chuck their phone across the room lol.

Other than that, I should've realized that Saturn's right in-front of me (gosh I feel so stupid lol). This would make sense since Saturn acts as this invisible wall of glass. Having an 8th house moon would just intensify this feeling, making it more powerful than necessary. Right now though, I'm trying to get into meditation so that I can balance out my emotions. It's already proven to be very effective as of now.

I wonder if Saturn squaring my Midheaven would only make it more difficult for me. I've heard that this square can indicate one who gets attacks of loneliness as they get older.

Not sure you are mentioning technology in regard to my comment (about preferring hobbies/things over ppl), for someone else, or just as additional info. However if it regards my comment then I'm not sure why technology is being mentioned. Those who are obsessed with their phone/technology to the point of ignoring ppl they choose to be around are clearly not anti-social nor have any issues connecting with others. Studies show that almost anyone addicted to their phone in that way are addicted to social media, which is based entirely on "connecting" with others. I dont have twitter, FB, Instagram, or any other form of social media b/c I genuinely dont connect with ppl. That's why I deliberately said I end up finding books, intellectual pursuits, etc more interesting than ppl and didn't mention technology (although I do like coding, graphic design, and taking apart my computer). I'm not a "phone person" so being glued to the phone while around others doesn't even occur. I also refuse to deliberately be around ppl I couldnt care less about B/c that's a waste of my time so I don't understand ppl who CHOOSE to be around someone only to be on their phone.

Oh I wasn't necessarily replying to you. I was replying somewhat to Seimei and Faith about people using technology. It just annoys me when they choose to pay attention to their phone when they were invited over to my house to do stuff. I'm not saying that people who use their phone are anti-social.
