What's your Moon sign?

My mom is a Cap Sun/Aries Moon and my dad is an Aries Sun/Taurus Moon. They've been together for over 30 years. They're both actually mature and playful. It's like having parents that are kids at heart but still pay the bills and are really responsible too lol.

My dad is a slow moving type of guy, even though he's an Aries. I actually forget he's an Aries until he goes all in for some romantic gesture. She doesn't like surprises that much, she likes to have a general plan in place - then if she suddenly changes her mind, at least she got everything that she really needed. She likes practical gifts - my dad wants to buy her a V-Day gift but she really wants him to make a bookshelf for her. (They have this same discussion every holiday or event lol.) He doesn't seem to mind though.

I don't know the details, but I think it can definitely work. Show them you have a serious or cool side but balance it out with some unexpected humor (Caps love to laugh IMO). Try not to rush things. Caps don't seem to trust anything that moves too fast or just doesn't seem right. My mom has one exception though: if it was her idea, it doesn't matter how quickly things progress because she's likely leading the way. She's just weary of other peoples' seemingly reckless ideas...that might just be her Leo Mars talking though. Lol

Not sure if that helped...probably not. I'm open to questions, though.

This is how I would try to explain it....

Hanna - maybe if you imagine this on a physical level.. you can visualise where the Cap Moon person is at emotionally... So imagine having some physical accidents in life that have left you "fine" on the outside.. but with some serious scars (nevertheless). For instance.. things like... you totalled your car and were left traumatised for months after the accident.

^ And lets say this sort of traumatising situation was repeated a few times over in your life... It wasn't a one off thing.

And even though you got through these events and you did heal... all wounds leave scars... because 'such is life'.

^^ In my opinion, many Capricorn Mooners go through seriously painful things on a psychological level (occasionally a mix of physical and psychological) - earlier in life than most... and with more frequency.
These things can make them develop a -thicker skin- than most... which isn't a bad thing...
But, they can also be hard to deal with and take things a bit too seriously at times.

I think a Capricorn Sun or Moon person could definitely like you *exactly* as you are... with your Aries/Taurus combo... as long as you make a genuine effort to show them the best in those placements. It's great to be energetic, optimising, inspiring (Aries/Gemini).. and stable, trustworthy, reliable on an emotional level (Taurus)!
Any person with Capricorn in their chart would appreciate these qualities in you... and it would be a good thing for them - because it would be complementary to their more serious outlook.

But... when you express negative Aries traits (in particular Aries..since it squares Capricorn).. like for example flying off the handle.. or being very aggressive or pushy in some way... Capricorn will probably react by freezing you out.

The reason is not so much that they -dislike- you or -can't deal with you-... but rather... because, as I was saying Capricorn has been through *so much BS* in life... so, they have a very strong desire to be surrounded by positivity and joy.
They very much want to create peace, happiness and balance in their lives... So if anything upsets that balance... they will cut it out.

The attitude is kind of like: "I'm sorry but I've had my fair share of drama and problems in life.. and I'm certainly not putting up with more problems from *you* my darlin'... And on that note.. I bid you goodbye!"

They met at work - how very Capricorn and Taurus lol. She was in the middle of a divorce, so I think they were just friends for a year or so before they ever started dating. Once they started dating, they were together for a year and then they got married. She was hesitant to get married again so they lived together and did all of the married stuff without being married until she was sure.

I think it's safe to say they're both pretty predictable in their daily habits, opinions, etc. They both just like to try new things on a whim - like when she's in the mood, she'll pick a new place to go to just because. My dad does it more often than her, probably because he's an Aries Sun and not Moon. It really depends with her mood - she's also a Cancer ASC so if she wants to be a homebody that day, new things or sudden plans aren't going to happen. He'll do them regardless of his mood (Aquarius ASC) because he just likes to get out and explore on his own from time to time.

ETA: She's very predictable and reliable in other ways. She's a 6th house Cap Sun so there's a certain way she pays the bills so that they're always on time and always paid. Basically if it really matters or it qualifies as a responsibility, she has her way of doing it (that guarantees that it gets done) and she will use that method every single time. Money is something she always takes seriously.

Yep she's blunt. You know those moms who totally go to battle for their kids, no matter what, and all of the other moms are kind of afraid of her? That's her. It's best not to discuss something with her unless you want the absolute truth. She softens this a little bit for her family but anyone else is fair game. If a stranger is rude in public, they're going to hear about it lol.

This is awesome! Yes, there's nothing wrong with me I just have to find Capricorns who can tolerate my flaws. I do fly off the handle often, try as I might not to, and yes I got freezed out by a Capricorn moon for it, haha. I was like "But that was just for the time being..."
