--------- You know, I just realized - weird coincidence (of sorts). Gillian Flynn's female protagonists are always, due to some unavoidable reason, driven to go back to their hometown and brought face to face with their past. They go through their share (or more) of trials and tribulations, but come out victorious in the end. She's a Piscean too (Aqua moon, Cap venus). IP: Logged |

In other news, we are STILL waiting to hear back on the house we're trying to rent, and we're all still holed up on the family compound, which is a bit cramped with four of us in a small farm house, lol. We're also still waiting to hear back on the vehicle my husband bought, to decipher what needs to be done to get it up and running properly. ****BREAKING!!!! As I was typing this, the property management guy called, and my husband will go in today to sign the rest of the paperwork and give him a check, so we'll get the keys to the house today, yay! Lol. I just saw this. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but so far I'm pretty happy and comfortable here, which I didn't entirely expect. It's grown a lot since I lived here, and people seem just a little bit more...open, I guess? Or something. It's been pleasant so far, but I have yet to deal with my sons' teachers, lol. If he didn't need the socialization so much, I would homeschool my kids at least through elementary school. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I just meant - the going-back-home theme..Edit: Homeschool them, huh? Would you homeschool the little one that's on the way..? I've always admired those who do.. Not only do they get to spend more time with their kids, they have greater flexibility in teaching them and it usually raises kids who are comfortable thinking on their own. IP: Logged |

It's an interesting theme, for sure. I've always liked this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7m4pHtGfSQ Although I'm not from the South, the way I grew up is a lot this way. Most of the people who moved here in the '30s and '40s migrated from poverty stricken areas like Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas, and came to work in the fields and orchards here. (Including my grandparents, and the grandparents of most of the people I know.) IP: Logged |

I can identify with this. I mean, my husband's Saturn is square my Mercury, and his Mercury is square my Sun, so it's not like our communication is exactly functional to begin with, lol. But yeah...lately it's been ridiculous. I agree. No more, please! Not to mention that Neptune is right in the middle of all of our Mercury/Sun/Moon/Saturn aspects. -__- IP: Logged |

Wow, you know..weirdly, that makes me feel nostalgic. (Although I'm not from around there at all). I get what you mean. And those motifs of Americana are a part of your childhood, young adulthood... I can almost imagine you in your town now.. P.S. I really liked the music in that video. IP: Logged |

I have the soundtrack, and I love it. The guy who made the documentary, whose music is prominent in it, is also a Pisces Sun (not sure about his other placements). Cat Power also had a great song in there, which is how I learned of the documentary to begin with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2cvNPI5wkI IP: Logged |

Violets,I hope things are settling down for you, especially any stress to you and baby-to-be. I'm glad to hear the bottle neck of circumstances seems to have unclogged. I know it must be frustrating to see these things while you are unable to jump in and do something yourself. What's going on with Mercury is that it has moved out of the so-called shadow area [15 Cap - 1 Aqua], but is currently parallel with Venus, and both are temporarily in parallel with Saturn and Pluto near 21° South declination. So any natal points you have in the 20-21 area north or south are being transited by them, and much more slowly by the latter two. These things do seem more Saturn-related, as you mentioned Saturn's recent transit square your natal Mercury, which can be a trying time for communication and clarity of thought. And sometimes Saturn transits to Mercury indicate a 'goodbye' to someone/thing - at least temporarily. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Modern professional astrology - expert rectification IP: Logged |

Thank you, Kannon. Saturn hasn't squared my natal Mercury for some considerable time, as my Mercury is at 13 Aquarius... I mentioned that my husband's Saturn and Mercury are directly involved in my Mutable T-square with luminaries and Neptune, though.
Mars did square my Mercury recently, but that's been past for about a week. The only planets I have at later degrees are Mars at 26 Capricorn, and Jupiter at 24 Pisces... Hm. IP: Logged |

You have a Merc-sq-Saturn double whammy! :O Makes sense that you're feeling these transits more acutely. IP: Logged |

My Mercury doesn't square his Saturn, but it is conjunct his Mars/NN, and it does oppose his Sun. So we do (sort of) have Sun/Mercury double whammy, lol. Good thing we have Moon trine Moon, and Venus trine Venus, and Isis conjunct Osiris, etc. Edit. Had to get our aspects straight, lol. IP: Logged |

I would love to homeschool them both, yes. But my little Aries stellium/Taurus Sun son really needs the interaction with other kids, so I am going to try public schools and hope that I don't end up slapping any teachers or parents, lol. IP: Logged |

Oops. I confused athenaia's post 'Saturn square Asc' with you. Sorry about that. Normally what I've learned to do in this forum is reverse engineer a poster's planet positions based on what they've listed in various posts here. It took me a while to find enough posts of yours to do that. Mercury (3-4 Aqua) is separating from its square to your Uranus, and today/tomorrow is quincunx your Moon (while sextile to your Venus). Other than that, Mercury isn't doing much of longer-term consequence. Often some confusion or uncertainty about current planetary influences can come in when the declination picture is unknown. Those planets at 20-21° South declination I pointed out above are actually in transit parallel your natal Neptune 20S39 (20°39' South). Saturn-Pluto now transit parallel your Neptune [20S39]. (In addition Saturn is conjunct it). This can be a confusing time in which the imagination/intuition, which may normally serve you well, has to take a bit of a back seat to practical considerations in which you may have to refocus your vision/cerebral ability towards those objectives ... which can feel quite literally counter-intuitive. However, Pluto's part with Neptune is actually transformation of the imagination, and spiritual renewal. Maybe this birth will be more than to just a child? This is happening while Neptune transits conjunct/parallel your Sun. That indicates a time of lower physical energies and more dream/spiritually oriented energies. Maybe it helps to think of this time as yours to be in a special spiritual place and let the able bodied around you take care of the material things? Good news with Jupiter at about 5 North declination has already begun its transit parallel your Moon at 5 North (roughly timing the birth of your baby). Just because Jupiter will not retrograde all the way back into early Virgo does not mean you won't get its benefits. This is where declinations really make a difference. You will benefit from this Jupiter transit into mid-March, then again in July, and again by contra-parallel in Nov & December. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Modern professional astrology - expert rectification IP: Logged |

I had to think about it, and as I was listening to some of the music, it occurred to me that I actually learned of the documentary when KEXP played "Static on the Radio" by Jim White, not the one by Cat Power. Then I accidentally bought the soundtrack to the documentary, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2DyPVDIpTM IP: Logged |

Mars has apparently entered it's shadow phase, for when it retrogrades in April. I have been out of sorts all day. Sunday, I was crying a lot, felt better, and then told someone off in the middle of the night when they put me on the defensive again (after I'd just happily mentioned how much better I was feeling). Yesterday was better, but today? Nothing is helping. I just talked about this in another thread. I even took a tincture of holy basil, instead of rhodiola, having heard that it left someone feeling a lot better. It didn't help at all. I suppose rhodiola and holy basil do the same thing, and rhodiola occasionally increases my anger, instead of making me feel more relaxed. IP: Logged |

Weird, holy basil always helps me, as does Skullcap (not sure why I capitalize one and not the other). Yeah, I'm not seeing any tight aspects in my chart right now that would indicate so much stress and irritability, so maybe I'll look at Mars (if it's going Rx, that means it will hit mine and my husband's Mercury/Mars again, which is really irritating). Hrrmphh. Also, the house we rented is not that great, and it's ridiculously expensive. I need to remember gratitude... *gritting teeth* Okay, I'm thankful. But I'm smudging that place before we move in. IP: Logged | |
