I have issues with managing anger and letting things go during the heat of the moment. Whenever I become extremely angry in a certain situation (usually involving a stranger doing things to me first), I imagine doing terrible things to that person. I'm not talking about putting sugar in gas tanks. I have to remove myself from the situation because my feelings terrify me. I literally want to destroy. I am so grateful that I'm not a person without a conscious or a psychopath. I blame my tight Mars sextile Pluto and partially my Mars square Chiron. Please tell me I'm not alone. I feel crazy! lol Mars - Plutonians, how do you keep your temper in check? IP: Logged |

I don't have any Mars aspects to Pluto but this happens to me all the time. I do have a Scorpio Mars though. Just this pent up rage that causes me to think of the most utterly destructive moments possible. I kind of have to also blame Mars - Neptune for this though, since Neptune in my natal squares Mars. I know what you mean. I have Mars and Pluto conjunct. I feel like I could kill and torture lots of people that have wronged me when I've done nothing to them. I don't know if it's because these two planets are in the 3rd house but I relieve this energy by writing, screaming, and talking about it. I think for all Mars/Pluto aspects you need to do something physically draining if you can to exhaust yourself.

Well, i have Mars in Aries, in square to Mercury + Neptune and is inconjunct Pluto. My temper definitely can be quite fierce... i think it's a lesson for me to learn to not let my anger rule me. To find a positive and productive outlet whenever i feel too fiery. People who have hurt me deeply have unleashed my anger... they don't understand that this is just pain that i don't quite know how to deal with otherwise, it's my way of letting them know that they have done something very wrong to me. When i'm very angry and upset i often feel self-destructive, and rarely wish ill to other people. Yes, one way to deal with it is to exhaust yourself physically - beat that pillow to death, or emotionally - cry until you're dried out. IP: Logged |

I have Mars in a close trine to Pluto. My Mars is retrograde in the 12H, so I supress my anger a lot and only have those outbursts if someone pushes my buttons repeatedly. My Mars is in Gemini, so when that happens I can destroy the person with my words. I cut deep and precisely, I guess this is reinforced by my Mercury in the 8H (original house of Pluto), and also my Mercury trine to Pluto. When I think of people that hurt me on a profound level my anger reemerges very strong and the idea of revenge crosses my mind again. During those moments I wish I could inflict so much pain on them as they did to me. But, yes, that's one of the negative aspects of Mars-Pluto. Cleansing is necessary though or that pattern can become something very destructive. Check the condition of the dispositors of the signs those planets are placed in too. That will add more information.IP: Logged |

I was just thinking of this earlier.I wouldn't really call it a "temper" because that sounds out of control. I focus like a laser when I'm angry and direct all my energy on one point, one thing I am trying to break apart. Sometimes I use verbal force, and it's not really the words so much as the tone of my voice. I can easily convince people that I am downright psycho and they better leave me alone since, for all they know, I'm armed and dangerous. I ACT like I am. I have that much confidence and do feel ready to fight to the death if need be. Like, you might kill me because I'm smaller but I'll make sure you lose an eye first. Then again this is the kind of force that I feel is in a coarse, unrefined state and needs to be healed or converted into another kind of power. Destruction is easy. Elevating is hard. I have Mars trine Pluto. Both aspecting my Capricorn sun (and all three of these planets aspect Saturn.) IP: Logged |

I have a hot temper(What can I say- I'm passionate), but my anger is slow, and very cold.Temper for me is just a release and a way of dealing with things in a,(immature sometime), but rational way- " dealing with things head on. " This reaction can go on foreveeeerr! All words, if the situation requires no immediate danger. Slow, cold anger may come from when things are not dealt with head on. Feels Like a shocking moment of cutting the strings. All involved are effected, for better or for worse, and can be quite awkward and get extremely draining. :/ This reaction seems like I could have avoided it all together and just listened to my first instinct. All action, words only when needed for action. There is no one way to deal with both but to balance my own reaction either way. * and I never look back.* lesson learned, though- for me(ha,ha). ------------------ All that glitters is not Gold.

My Leo Mars is like, "How DARE you do that to me!" My Libra Sun conjunct Saturn is like, "Calm yourself because you know you don't have the bail money, girl." My Mars trine Neptune makes me want to dance and/or watch Game of Thrones. IP: Logged |

This makes sense. I have been sick for nearly one week and could not go to my boot camp classes. I find that this helps with my mood. After class I'm all smiles and feel like a bowl of jello. Regarding houses, I always found it odd how I usually felt at odds with my family, but the thought of anyone threatening or hurting them would enrage me. This is just one of the reasons why I'm against having my own children because I will be one of those nightmares. Then I starting learning astrology and found that my Mars is in the 4th house.

My aspects really put Mars in some serious pressure. It's square Mercury, Neptune and my Sun whilst in an opposition to Saturn and Square my Midheaven. Not to mention my Moon Opposite Pluto. At the moment I currently aim for total annihilation, but that may be due to the Neptune Square Pluto transit I'm in right now. Typically venting or some form of physical activity helps relieve this. The act of self love was a foreign concept to me. After getting angry enough to want to cause harm, I would blame myself and think I was just so terrible inside. I agree that anger is pain. You are deeply hurt by the actions of another, especially when their actions are unfair and sometimes outrageous. You start to think, "Why me? I was minding my own business." I had a real aversion to fighting of any kind, being timid and so afraid of confrontation when I was young. Those feelings were a mix of my lovely Mars square Chiron and Mars sextile Pluto. I have other Mars aspects which makes it all quite complicated. IP: Logged |

When you say cleansing, do you mean with sage or something similar? At least we don't have Mars square Pluto. I feel for those folks. IP: Logged |

Exactly! I feel the same way. I'd feel bad for the person who wanted to violate me in anyway because I will take a pound of flesh with me, literally. If I'm going down, I'm tearing that person apart. That's really the challenge, isn't it? Trying to convert this monstrous beast energy into something productive to further ourselves positively. My self-control is like steel. This energy drives me to keep going, keep trying...because if I stop, I will die. I must survive. I must dig myself out of lows, and I have many, many times. I must continue. I will move a mountain to find my peace of mind. If only I wasn't so blocked in certain areas in my life where I can use this to improve. Typing all of this makes me realize that life beats us up. It tears us up inside to develop strength. To create survivors instead of victims. Okay, I feel better about Mars /Pluto. lol My Mars is heavily aspected as well. Leo Mars sextile Libra Pluto, trine Sagittarius Neptune, septile Libra Sun and Saturn, square Taurus Chiron and Scorpio Venus (wide at 6),and quintile Scorpio Mercury. IP: Logged |

What sign is your Mars and was aspect to Pluto? Within the hour, I'm almost back to normal if I walk away. I guess that is the benefit of having Mars in a fire sign.

I have Mars square Pluto. I will fight with all I have in order to survive. My sister and I used to get into physical fights when we were younger but she was the one who threw the first... claw lol I would have to stop myself from hurting her too bad but I wasn't going to stand around and take it.When I'm angry, I walk away because I don't want the other person to see or experience my rage. It helps to redirect the energy into something productive though. IP: Logged |

I have taurus mars- scorp pluto opposition. It's a wide opposition, I feel it very much though. Probably because mars also trine my chart and sun ruler saturn, along with my ascendant. I used to get into physical fights all the time, well it was self-defend. It sorta made me sensitive to physical aggression. Walking away wasn't hard. The hard thing was to stop once I started. But yeah, eventually it got better. I'd recommend martial arts (tai chi is great ime. Parkour is a great style to try, it gives a very "free" feel that I really like), or some sort of challenging physical activity. For me it's an outlet, and also I learn how to control and direct my energy. Bottled/pent-up energy is just bad news. IP: Logged |

I meant getting rid of the anger as a negative driving force. Suppression is not a good thing at all, cause when the anger reemerges it's like a volcano spitting fire. Martial art is really helpful cause it can release my anger on a physical way. I have a close friend who has Moon, Mars conjunct Pluto in Scorpio and she has the same issues. In her case, it's even worse cause Mars conjunct her debilitated Moon gives her a extremely hot temper. We were talking about those things some time ago and she's been into Psychodrama and boxing to cope with that. She told me about how she's improved compared to 4 years ago, when she decided to do something about it.

You could probably also use your trines to keep your temper in check. With my Moon trine Neptune, whenever I'm angry, I listen to music to heal me. IP: Logged |

I have Mars sextile Pluto and I'm not haunted by that. But then my mars is in mutable Sag, rather than Leo. Leo Mars can't stand to be humiliated, and can lash out terribly over that.Sure, I've had moments, but I think everyone has as we're a very violent species (I'm counting sanctioned violence here as well, btw, which many don't--some sanctioned openly while other acts of violence are winked at) even with all the self-control most usually display. As for why it's usually not a problem for me, it could be my lifestyle that works out the adrenaline so it doesn't build up, mental and physical exercises and hobbies. My Sag stellium probably lets me shrug a lot of stuff off and find the funny. But I wouldn't say you're crazy, not if you can control it, there's a difference between feelings and being the puppet of your feelings (and don't be fooled that others who manage to conceal their feelings aren't therefore feeling them). And ultimately it's our choices that define us, not our feelings. IP: Logged |

My Taurus mars opposite my Scorpio pluto and I think it plays a lot in how my anger actually manifest itself. Rather than huge burst of anger, or anything else that has been said, my anger is a lot more icier and under control. It's not so much a will to kill or pain others than an incredible stubbornness that no one can go against. I just refuse to back down or compromise when I'm angry and it's barely impossible to convince me of something if I've been previously angered. I'm also willful and can become arrogant and condescending when I'm arguing with people, which ends up hurting them, because, in this moment, I am absolutely certain that I AM right and that they are just idiots for not seeing it. Another side of it is a control tendency and a will of winning no matter what. I can become thoroughly insensitive when I'm angry and I HAVE the need to win, even if I'm in the wrong and I know it and this trait clash hugely with my libra moon/pisces ac. Usually I am caring and so attentive to the need of others that, in those moments, it's like I'm becoming someone else. There's no empathy or sympathy, no compromises, not even the will to see another one's viewpoint. It's just a fight I need to win no matter how I do it, even if I am wrong. And I am one hell of a resentful woman. I can stay angry for hours if I don't end up forgetting it. I'll just go over and over with what wronged me... all in my head. Expressing my feelings is not my forte ah!

Bingo! That Aries in 12th often speaks of one who is afraid of their own anger so they try to always keep it under control. Try not to make big scenes and have everyone run from them. Mars in Leo is probable to throw tantrums and sulk when angry. They like things to go their way and can be hard to calm down when they reach the tipping point. I wonder if Mars aspects Moon by opposition? Because that would make you very touchy and prone to emotional extremes.Which is exactly what you want to conceal(12th house Aries)

Yes, this is true, except I don't throw tantrums (lol), but I am the sulk queen. I admit it. It's a super-wide opposition, like 15 degrees. Thank God. IP: Logged |
