Next week's Solar Eclipse New Moon in Pisces is at 18 Pisces, conjunct Chiron at 20 Pisces! Where does this fall in your chart?

I've written a new blogpost, for the first time in ages all about it. I hope you like it as always feedback is very welcome:

What would this eclipse mean if it will be conjunct Valentine and DSC and opposite Mars.

Hi there Charlie,

So Virgo Rising with Mars conjunct eh? Well we've got North Node and Jupiter transiting there right now, if they're exactly opposing the eclipse (18 degrees) then you've not had the Node transit and Jupiter is chasing his way back to your Ascendant.

This is an interesting time for you already hey? There's been a lot of soul searching and looking within going on. Your relationship with yourself has changed (for the better) and now your personal relationships need to and are about to follow.

Of course with Saturn squaring the Asc/Dsc axis you are assessing your needs and revising them to suit your more refined aspirations.

My gut feeling tells me you're single (apologies if I'm wrong) I certainly don't get a feeling of commitment and great waves of change impacting in this area in this way. What I feel is that you've possible been interested in one or more people (I feel like it's one) and that's just not enough for you anymore. Or it won't be after the eclipse anyway, as you desire to be with somebody who makes you feel like the shining, vibrant loving soul you are.

With Virgo Rising your soft and loving side doesn't get to come across all the time. The eclipse will shine a light on this part of you and you will be *noticed*!~! Be out and about if you can!! Don't hide. Let your inner Pisces shine - where blue, or green, or even better ~wear turquoise and follow your heart, not your head ;-)

Wishing you an amazing eclipse time

Thank you, I wish you a wonderful one too.

I think it will be something... It falls on my 4th and it conjuncts our composite Moon/Jupiter conjunction in the 4th. But I think it's only good stuff coming

What do you think?

Hi Sunnya,

Well you can't go far wrong with a Moon-Jupiter conjunction - and that's a super one. Moon in it's home of the 4th and Jupiter in it's house of exaltation!! What a big wow, the only danger with that conjunction is complacency and too much of a good thing, so any little eclipse action may just add a spark in the mix.

I have to say I don't personally read composites as charts in their own right, I have a little issue with the midpoints between two people being entirely accurate. For instance somebody with Sun-Mars in Aries making a midpoint with somebody with Mars in Cancer opposite Neptune. You can't imagine those two Mars' could ever meet halfway hey?

I use composites for a relationship glance though, they're nice but nothing as accurate as the personal charts and what each individual needs and looks for and brings.... Still if I had a Moon-Jupiter conjunction in the 4th with somebody, I'm sure I would happily look at it lots ;-)

blessings~~~~

I'm sorry Orange it's a pet hate of mine.... I've looked and looked and analysed and cross checked the vertex and....I just find nothing in it. Nothing at all.

I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of soul mates in this life, and analyse the charts of many other connected peoples and the Vertex has never figured. Never. I had it figure in one relationship I had and that's the least bonded, least connected relationship I've ever had. So if it means anything to me, perhaps attracted to the superficial....

The calculation for the Vortex is flawed anyway. Look at the House the eclipse falls in, look at the closest aspects it throws in your chart. Then you'll build a picture :-)

In composite with my partner we have vertex in virgo @20d in the 7th, 9 years together.

I know Leeloo has mentioned she has noticed the vertex in longterm couples often falls in the 7th in their composite.

Curious do you guys have it in your 7th too??

My ex and I have in composite:

Vertex in Aries @18d39 semisextile exact
Moon in Pisces @18d40 5H

The day we met transit Sun was quindecile composite moon and vertex forming a QD yod with the Sun at the apex.

I've never even figured a composite Vertex. I guess you guys in the US are luckier - you do have somebody recording your time of birth. Unfortunately in the UK that's not the case, I've never even looked at the Vertex in a composite. If it's supposed to be 'fated meetings' how can work in a chart of couple who have already met? And why would you look to it in an established relationship where I am positive there are very very strong synastry patterns to illustrate the love?

I know there are 'fashions' on this forum, and I don't write here often.... :-)

One question - is the Vertex in a composite comprised of the *midpoint* of the two chart Vertex's, or is calculated as a point in its own right from the angles which result from the composite chart itself? If it was the latter it would have more validity I would think....

A fair article there I think by Kim...

Tbh I tend to check the vertex in synastry and feel is meaningful and personal but you can have an amazing connection without it too like it has been your case.

The vertex in the composite I don't know how I feel about it yet but just realized it played an important role in our meeting now that I am looking into quindeciles.

But at this point I am just observing vertex in composites..let's see with this eclipse how it plays out.

Yeah, that might be true, but considering the Vertex can only fall into 5th-8th house, well draw your own conclusions.

as for composites, in my view we should do away with the signs in them anyway. However, the aspects are a different matter, those are a reflection of the natal and synastric aspectual gestalt. I can only recommend reading the books/ articles by David Cochrane on this or even the you tube videos he did. Very insightful.

For this new Moon well I guess the tightest aspect to my chart is the conjunction to my Juno on 16°58 Pisces and trine to Saturn on 16°57 Cancer. So nothing too big or tidal-wave-like I guess.

My ex has it conjunct his IC exact and
I have it in my 9th parallel my 9H cusp.

I read that years ago the whole 5th to 8th house theory but it hasnt worked out that way ime.

However him and I are exceptions looking at my data. My best friend from high school also has it in her 4th in the middle of it.

Oh wow interesting my other high school best friend, I had two, also has vertex in the 4H conjuncting exact my Pluto in the 11th, fitting.

Default and Placidus: same results for either.

Cuba vertex 4h
Dominican Republic vertex 9h
Venezuela vertex 4h
Nicaragua vertex 4h

So north and south America

I just checked equal and still for all the above. In my case it moved a little deeper into my 9th.

However I have not seeing any vertex in the 10, 11, 12,1,2 or 3 so half of the houses not occupied by vertex.

yeah I guess that makes sense then, so we need to expand the possibilities to 4th and 9th house as well, possibly 10th?

I am married and my favorite colors are green (think ocean green) and turqoise! I HAVE done some soul searching but don't exactly feel it's going in the direction I want...or I might not be listening..
