Faith, you have strong synastry with Germany`s chart. My own with this country is not the easiest, though I remember that day so clearly, well half a year before I was very happy and crushing heavily and my spiritual sense had been awoken and I had been feeling like stumbled into a magical wonderland like Alice - actually LITERALLY as it started with a dream I had in which I stepped into a painting and ended up on the other side (interestingly a painting of a great lake with mountains in the background - the castle I noticed only later. It`s funny how vivid I remember it still. After all 1990 right?) Anyway but a the time in october, I had come down to earth with a thud or thought so and was basically going through a most desparate break up (well I broke up with my illusions, as I thought of them back then - oh how little did I know!)
But yeah synastrically Sun-IC on my Pluto-MC Pluto square my Moon Uranus conjunct my Venus Neptune square my Pluto Saurn on my Avx and opposing my Saturn, square my Chiron Mars squeezed in between my SN and Karma-asteroid and exact on my Kaali.
It`s not really a loverelationship that connects me with my country.

my synastry with the UK, I had NO idea. lol To be honest It completely shocks me that Uk Isis is conjunct Mr Law`s Lancelot-Osiris-conjunction which opposes my Guinevere-Isis-Osiris. LOL
(if mentioning England and London I had to also mention him, sorry.) [/URL]

Thanks for the stories, data, & chart Ceri. I see, you wouldn't have the coziest feeling about your country...hmm....well it's probably easier for visitors anyway. I would have a hard time with all the regulations and perfectionism if I lived there. I think I would flat-out fail. And that's why I cried when I visited. LOL I love your moon-Venus and moon-Vertex conjunctions with the UK, plus its Ceres is well-placed. I loved Scotland (totally saw the Loch Ness monster btw) but I can't find any asteroids for it. Thing is, the UK's Jupiter is right on my Saturn, and its Saturn is in my first house, so maybe that contributes to the "rain on my parade" feeling. And I arrived in London two or three days before Princess Diana died, so it was all about death in the beginning. UK's Pluto in my 8H. ETA: It's funny but I hadn't talked to anyone that morning or seen the news, so I headed out by myself, and people were crying everywhere, and I was thinking, "This is the most miserable place! My GOD everyone is grumpy." At first I thought that was the national temperament or something. IP: Logged |

We basically got taught in school when I was a kid that ours is the country whose major contributions to world history are the world war, the total war and the genocide (never mind Beethoven, Bach, Einstein, Heisenberg, Albert Schweitzer, and other such people), and until rather recently, no German in their right mind would have dared to show any national symbols at a sports event even, let alone at other times. This changed roughly around 2006. I think one also gets the idea when growing up in Germany that this country is somehow so boring, and all other countries are so much more interesting - which is of course bull but it took a long time for Germans to see their country as just another regular country with its dark and bright sides like any other. Just my impression of course, might be seen differently in other generations of younger Germans, and in other regions. But if Germans are patriots, they are almost never German-patriots, they're Bavarians, Saxons, Frisians, or what not. Each place is proud of its local history and especially of what makes it so different from "mainstream" Germany Hilarious in a way but true. *edit* Oops, sorry for not contributing astro content. Have never checked countries' natal charts but there's a small island state that has become my third home and that had a large impact on me professionally as well so I often go there. Funnily, one day I checked that country's name asteroid and found that it was exactly conjunct my MC. My SO, when I first took him with me to visit that faraway place, immediately felt at home there too... As it later turned out, he has that asteroid exactly conj. his Moon.
Sorry to derail the topic, but here another fan of Germany. well the south of Germany.. I have lived in 9 countries so far and only two I love as a living place. One of the two is Germany. I just adore Germany and.. GERMANS.. IP: Logged |

guys, have you tried astroclick travel in astro.com .. it is really good. i have used to confirm my feelings with places i have visited and lived and it is on spot. I recommend it more than the charts of the countries as these dates tend to be somehow arbitrary..IP: Logged |

A lot of my astro map lines meet in Sweden, so I imagine that I will live there some day. Edit: Aw, this is post #333! Sweden is SO in my future.
My venus and north node lines meet somewhere in Sweden, a LOT of my more positive lines go through there or collide with each other there.
I want to permanently leave the States. If i do I'll probably wind up in Sweden, France or Denmark.
