Hi, there. I'm interested in what would make a person be closed lipped about their income and how it is created. Some of us know folks who drive the same vehicle for years, live in a modest home, shop at Goodwill, etc and have a dickload in the bank or in investments. I know this is do to frugality and common sense in money management and self control. And some people just have very good incomes but are not flashy or ostentatious. In fact, it may be their motive to keep their financial life hidden, which they have every right to do.I guess my question is, what aspects or house placements in their chart would cause them them to do this as opposed to, say, someone who wants to convey the IMAGE of possessing objects or a well-to-do lifestyle, even if they go deeply in debt to accomplish it. Or, even if they CAN afford it. Am I being clear? Lol. IP: Logged |

I think one placement would be Saturn and Sun in the 11th house and in Capricorn - for a modest person who will be wise, careful and discreet with his possesions.Someone who would like to be flashy about his money and possesions (otherwise accomplished in a moral hard-working manner) might have Saturn and Venus in conjunction. I have Pluto in the 2nd house, Taurus in the 8th and I'm very private when I have wealth. I am cheap even if I can afford something doesn't mean I should. My leo moon sometimes splurges on a full price item if it holds emotional value, but I rarely buy anything full price. I also have a Cap stellium.------------------

Thank you for the replies! Why didn't I think of Venus in the 12th before? That's why I love this place.My 2nd house has Pluto with Sun conjunct Uranus, all in Libra. Uranus is transiting my 8th at the moment,,,maybe that's why I'm more interested in how people manage their incomes. I'm a little terrible at it, so I've decided to keep a money journal and try to do something positive with money management each week, even if it just means doing research. I was even thinking about getting a financial adviser, not sure how much they charge...I'm on vacation and would like to get a handle on things. I might start a thread about school loans and what a bad idea it can be for some of us who were never taught, even in high school, how to do a basic budget. Lol. starr33, I don't really get to choose when my lunar lion gets to come out haha. She kind of just pops out when something appeals to her emotions. Joking aside, I find that I am less frugal when I've wanted something for a long time, like I tend to splurge on makeup because I've always wanted a nice collection to play with. My Libra ascendant loves playing with the art of makeup haha and my leo moon loves all the attention I get from it------------------

I'm not wealthy. Though that may be up for argument in the next couple of months when things finalize but I still wouldn't say wealthy exactly.For me I'd be fine with a nice car only because I really enjoy them.
Otherwise I don't believe anyone would suspect it. I'd dress the same and all that. I would buy some cool gadgets though! Again only because I enjoy them. I'm not sure what astrologically. I have Scorpio 2nd with its ruler in first. Then my 12th including Venus. I can't think of anything else that might relate. IP: Logged |

This combination of Jupiter conjunct Pluto must have been shared by many born around then. I have Jupiter conjunct Pluto (1) sextile Neptune (0) and my Sun (2). No wealth to hide I'm afraid. I mostly have enough for my needs and sometimes not. Have been through rather lean periods too. My Jupiter/Pluto conjunction is on Regulus, the Royal star, and in the 1st house, so it can't get any better. Perhaps having the conjunct in the 2nd (which is what Bill Gates has I believe) may have been more benefic. I can't understand why I'm not very well off given I have Fortuna conjunct Moon exact and Felicitas conjunct Sun too. Could Tyche opposite Saturn be my undoing? Would anyone know? IP: Logged |

I agree with Astro - Keen. I have jupiter conjunct pluto in the tenth (with fortuna smack in the middle conjunct them both). I have what I need but not a lot of money to speak of, hidden or otherwise. Hoping that changes though. IP: Logged |

I think it's my attitude toward money that needs to change. Rolling around in my subconscious (hidden) is the notion people who are wealthy are unworthy of heaven or have a corrupted soul. Or I'd have to turn into J.R. Ewing to get it. IP: Logged |
