ASC. Scorpio . Sag Sun / Venus . Gem Moon / Mars . Leo Jupiter . Virgo MC . Cap everything else. Main Houses (1st, 2nd, 8th)

Try to only list stuff you do on a regular basis / consistently (not merely interests that you have or are good at but never really do).

HOBBIES
* Writing (poetry, songs, stories, essays, etc).
* Dancing / Choreo
* Web / Graphic Design / Coding
* Fixing / taking apart computers
* Producing beats / music
* Natural Medicine
* Interior Decorating
* Asanas
* Teaching / Instructing various things (professionally & for fun)
* Inventing / building machinery / useful instruments or furniture.
* Languages. Literally like therapy for me (current target is Spanish).
* Mixing concoctions. Everything from glue, to skin topicals, to drinks, to hair gel, etc. Almost no bottle in my house contains the original contents ☠ lol

Hi again LBL!!!
Nice topic!! I am waiting for conclusions in the end! lol

Asc Cap, Sun Leo, Moon Virgo, Mars/Pluto/Saturn Libra, Jupiter Scorpio, Uranus/Neptune Sag, MC Scorpio, NN Cancer in the 6th house, Main houses 7, 9

Hobbies
Hmmm, I was never really good at hobbies..Never lol. Probably I could fill you a list like the one you mentioned, things I love to do or am good at, but do NOT do them in a regular basis. This list could be really soooo long
But since we should mention ONLY things we actually do, I'll keep it short and maybe you can finally tell me what is actually wrong with me (I mean why I like so many things but I really do so little? simple laziness? )

So, we have

-astrology (my first consistent life-hobby I think I'll ever have lol)
-listening to music
-watching cinema and theater (plus movies/series)
-thinking, discussing, analyzing personal relationships, psychology stuff in general (I just realised this is my longest hobby, since I do it since I was a kid lol)
-cooking (I make it so that I can eat basically lol, but even if it was not necessary I would still cook, I love it!)
-reading books
-writing thoughts or sort of poems, basicaly when I am in love

hmmm, that's all, I told you, I don't have so many hobbies
But the thread intrigued me anyway
And I really admire that you have so many hobbies!!! Bravo!!

> Cry over fictional characters (every book/series/movies related stuff makes me cry when i'm really into it)
> Playing silly games
> Learning new languages
> Dancing
> Editing videos even if i won't do anything with it
> I like watching/reading about the universe
> It's been 16 years since the sims was released and i'm not over it i'm sorry for my life, totally consumed
> Astrology is a hobby for me so yeah
> Photoshop

I feel so embarrassed omg

Your placements reflect in your hobbies amazingly well. I mean Gemini is a wordsmith and combine that with Leo creativity and Pisces imagination and a gifted person is born. Actually, I noticed Pisces moon in general are great at music / painting and honestly anything artistic without much effort (sometimes I envy it lol). Sorry you could not go to design school, you would have excelled. However, in this day and age you can still realize your dreams despite not going (if those are still your dreams that is).

Another thing. You actually managed to complete a book??? Amazing. I noticed Virgo Mars gives stability while Virgo Moon is more similar to Gemini Moon, sometimes lacking in follow-through (if I may say so myself lol).

What a fun idea.

Virgo Sun & Mercury in 7th house. Venus in Virgo & Jupiter in Leo in 6th house. Gemini Moon/Mars in 3rd house. Pisces ASC. Outer planet Cap stellium in 10th & 11th house. Sag MC.

Sun, Mercury & Venus trine Neptune. Sun & Mercury trine Saturn. Mercury & Venus trine Uranus. Moon-Mars conjunction sextile Jupiter. Venus conjunct Mercury. Venus square Mars.

- Fine arts & crafts - painting, furniture making, jewelry making, handmade home decor, interior design, sewing, quilting. Formal education in fine arts.
- Health science, diseases, education, nutrition. It's my professional career & personal interests.
- Fixing computers (my own), technology
- Advocacy issues - women's rights, disability rights, racial, gender and class inequalities, discrimination, healthcare disparities. (More of an interest, but seeing as it is a majority of what I read...)
- Writing - Both fiction and nonfiction. Working on a nonfiction book as we speak. I also love blogging, journalism, persuasive essays, any writing about anything that pertains to my above interests.
- Entertainment - I'm a bit of a dork when it comes to good movies, music and book. I don't just say "that was a great book"...I dissect it to figure out why it was so good. I collect great movies, books and music.
- Gardening - not so much flowers, but fruits, vegetables and herbs. I love growing my own food, harvesting it, preserving it, etc. I like knowing exactly where my food comes from.

No quoting please.

* Painting, drawing, basically creating characters and stories about them. It's very relaxing.
* Singing (playing when I feel like it), listening to classical music among other genres.
* Writing (fiction and non-fiction, translations, adaptations, poetry).
* Learning languages. I think it's very exciting. Every new language brings on a new different perspective, which in turn shows how similar languages are actually to each other .
* Astrology.
--

Taurus asc, Virgo Sun and Mercury in the 5th house, Libra Moon and Venus in the 6th house, Capricorn Mars in the 9th house conjunct MC.

@mar1982delta: Hello there , and how interesting....my Libra sister is also not good at hobbies. She has a Pisces moon so she is actually very gifted (photography, drawing, singing, baking, etc.) but she just does not stick to or really develop any of them. I do not know this to be a Libran trait, but considering that the 7th is one of your main houses along with Mars/Pluto/Saturn in Libra it has got me thinking now LOL.

Your placements signify a hard worker, so I wouldn't say it is laziness (I could be wrong though lol). I just think it is possible that Libran-type hobbies are based more on exchange of energy (such as talking with friends or watching t.v.) vs. a single direction of energy (like learning Latin or Guitar....can be monotonous). Also, you have a Virgo moon (I love you guys, so similar to my moon in Gemini). You folks have way more stability than us but what we have in common is a quicksilver mind. What makes us feel good and keeps us interested changes quickly. I think my full 2nd house is the only reason I stick to anything for any time at all Just like you, if I am to include everything that I do / interests me the list would be never ending. That's how I even ended up saying to only post that which is done consistently (my list was getting way out of control hahaha).

I can also see that your active 6th house makes you love information of all kinds, which explains you interest in analyzing, reading, writing, etc. Very Mercurial. Cooking has got to be Sag and Leo...well actually Sag mixed with Cap may have more to do with it than we think. I knew a Cappy woman with Mars in Sag that loved cooking so much. It was literally a hobby for her. Another Cappy woman (whom I'm sure had Venus in Sag) owned several restaurants and she didn't only own them but loved to cook at her restaurants too.

Oh and thank you for admiring my hobbies lol. The weird part is, none of those hobbies were my first choice, they sort of just happened (save for Spanish and music production). Writing, computer tech stuff, creating weird things, etc. are all inherited from my mother (who does pretty much all of the same stuff I do). My other siblings don't do any of that stuff it's just she and I (even though my brother shares the same Mars that we do). If you see her or I sitting in front of a mass of electronic parts we are thinking about a totally unrelated problem. When we have figured out what's wrong with the electronics, then suddenly the other problem is also solved and the computer is all put back together lol. So yep, just inherited. I for some reason haven't been able to make hobbies of any of the things I actually wish were my hobbies though (like sewing, painting, piano, contortion or actually finishing a book like the other poster lol).

Haha, a hard worker without a job! LOL
I couldn't resist the temptation commenting on that!
I will get back to you with comments on all of your comments lol, its EET time here and I'll go to sleep, but I'll say this about your multi-tasking! It must be your Gem Moon-mars definitely, in combination with your sag planets, but mostly the gem influence I think. This comment is more intuitive-empeirical though, not based strictly in astrology, since I have a brother with Gem Sun and Moon and he is as talented as you are, multiple hobbies, different at times, really good at multitasking etc etc., so I am biased!
Will get back tomorrow!

OMG this is soooo great, I feel like I'm connecting dots in regard to certain placement energies and their interests lol. Anyone who knows me here knows I love these statistical types of posts hehehe

@Nyctea: Hahaha I can completely relate to crying over characters / books. Weird part is that I tend to not cry at all in regard to real life stuff *shrugs* lol. And your hobbies sound fun, nothing to be ashamed of at all!

@StubbornVirgo: OMG another person who finished a book! Also your entire chart makes for such a focused and analytical person. Mercurial energy makes for all those varied interests. Actually I noticed Mercury as a major player in this thread in general but esp. w/ ppl who had many hobbies

@Sikanda: I almost forgot how creative of a sign Taurus is (makes sense that it is your Asc., your voice is probably beautiful too). Did you know most Disney princesses were voiced by Taurus / Libra singers? You have both energies! Then your 5th house energy is strong. Some of these should go beyond hobbies I think you would be great. Also I couldn't agree more with
your observation on learning languages

Hmm these started out as hobbies, but at some point they turned into something else that are pretty close to passion.

- Painting and drawing. Usually I use watercolor, ink and acrylic. Recently I've been trying out color pencils.

- Artisan metal-smithing. I like copper. There's something about it that really is captivating. There aren't enough words to describe the feelings I get when I work with it. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SUCH JOY.

- Reading. I like high, epic fantasy, children's books, crafts & handiwork, books about animals, plants, myths and ancient civilizations. I deliberately avoided crime fiction but recently I've started to read some books of this genre.

---

These are still just hobbies, s.t I do in my leisure time, I can give or take.

- Gardening: I like growing scented flowers. Sambac jasmine, orange jessamine are two of my favourites. And wild flowers, like little white daisies, tiny fairy slipper orchids, charming water hyacinth, velvety water lettuce ..etc...

- Woodworking.
- Stone-setting. I'm in a gemstones craze.
- Sewing, dress-making.

- Physical activities. Hmm this I kinda prefer to do with someone or in group.

- Writing: I do short stories for children and illustrations (have one little collection published). But it feels kinda hmm... to actually get serious. I don't do well with deadlines and pressure when it comes to creative works.

- Playing pranks on others (only people who are close to me, it's safer). Or doing inane things, like the other day I stalked a bird. I saw it crossing the street with a prize in its beak so I wanted to see where it was about to go and what it was about to do.

Cap asc conj 1st house saturn, 12th house cap sun/venus/neppy/uranus, 12th house sag merc, 4th house taurus mars, 3rd house aries moon.

Reading
Writing
Sewing, macrame, clothes altering, and a host of other handcrafts
Flowers and Interior Decor
I support and enjoy public gardens (especially Chinese and Japanese)
Archery
Many athletic hobbies (skateboarding, surfing, biking, hiking, and a few other things), though notably I prefer by myself, can have a zen quality (blank the rest of the world out in exchange for an adrenaline high and is similar to meditation in that regard--meditation defined here as silencing the mind as opposed to creative visualization), and generally avoid team sports (which makes it more like work rather than an escape, and puts pressure on aspects I don't really care about).

The above could represent a belief in myself and also wanting to create beauty out of a chaotic world. When I was homeless I'd even try to tidy up abandoned buildings I stayed in. Clothes altering puts an individual touch on what I wear, making it my own, and could be related to why I'm attracted to interior decorating and flower gardening (and also rock gardens and the like, but that's usually not practical). I often feel compelled to perform random acts of kindness which are typically of a beautifying nature (sweeping up glass, stopping a runaway buggy or returning them to the stores they came from, taking care of dangers like a nail that could cut skin and clothing) rather than organized volunteer work (though I have volunteered at both a library and food bank). It's a manifestation of my belief that there is no greater meaning (from a human perspective) and that as nothing matters, then meaning is determined by each of us. What I do is the meaning I craft out of chaos...and skateboarding and surfing are also me navigating and surviving the chaos.

Even writing was once like that. I realize in retrospect that most of my fiction writing as a child was me trying to magic myself away from the 'rents and either live on my own or return to Granny (and reading could be that way as well), though eventually it became much more than that as I got older. I can see the Libra sextile Sag at work in my writing as well, but that would take awhile to explain in detail.

3H Libra (scorpio cusp) sun, merc, Venus, Saturn, Pluto sextile 5H Sag moon, Mars, Uranus, Neptune. 5H is creative, of course, and the Libra air fans the Sag flames so they burn ever brighter, and the Sag energizes both my mind and body. The Sag also enjoys exotic ideas and journeys which affects my reading and writing, and perhaps what gives me a taste for role playing games.

When I was younger I was also a lot more into music and dancing (everything from Freestyle to Texas Two-Step), but not so much anymore. Sometimes during dance I felt as if I achieved some mystical connection with the pulse of creation, though most of the time it was just fun.

I also did a lot of juryrigging, from furniture to electrical outlets to computers, but I wouldn't call that a hobby, just more necessary (and preferable to waiting for someone else to never show, or show and do it badly for a lot of money). But even to this day I have friends call on me to help when they need help for things like that.

I also used to enjoy firearms a lot more (such as skeet shooting) but the scene near me changed and the people involved were a lot less pleasant so I distanced myself from them and thus the shooting sports. I also used to enjoy martial arts sparring a lot more, but the reasons I lost interest in that are more complicated.

I liked dressing up (this is when my Leo ASC would shine, but with input from the rest of my chart as well) and visiting several subcultures, and if I'd had more time and money I'd have gotten involved in Renaissance fairs and Cowboy Action Shooting. For that matter, I wish I could've taken more part in role playing games (to me it was about building a story together, which likely is my creative 5H at work) as well.

Nailed it!

I feel like if I was with interesting people or not alone I would keep myself busy but being my own company is not productive, in my eyes

I love my doggies. I talk to them.
Things I like to do are:
Dog park
Movie theatre
Gym
Cultural Festivals
theme parks
Astrology
Ride fairs
concerts
Going anywhere my friends like to go
Traveling
Sometimes I'll read everything about a subject that interests me (on the web)
Check out music from the library. Music is something I do literally ALL the time. Nothing explains life better than it.

Idk, I do other stuff... But not much. I like to get involved deeply into one activity, instead of like a million different nothings

@mar1982delta:

Hahaha no I don't think that's laziness, honestly it's just the times. Between societal structures changing so rapidly and also more and more ppl coming to consciousness about what the avg. 9-5 really is (slavery) the job scene is not the same anymore. That's why so many ppl are creating their own jobs now from blogging & YouTube channels, to holistic healers, to even professional gamers and they are being paid more than the avg person. Being jobless is tough but can be seen as a clean slate to change your entire life direction and follow a different dream

Ah yes you are right! My Gemini energy definitely contributes hehehe. & ok will check back tomorrow

@Desiring Shadows: Yes! So I was right lol. I figured as much b/c Libras are like a steel fist in a cute sunny colored glove. Friendly and lovable yet a force that gets down to business (in more ways than one) so it had to be more about interest than laziness. Most of the activities you listed are social or at least take place in a social setting. Perfect example of hobbies that are based on an exchange of energy. Asc in Gemini only makes you that much more busy and social. Then there is Leo, Sag, oh my...most ppl have to drink RedBull to seem as hyper and happy as you . Hmmm...wonder what your Mars in Scorpio conceals behind all of those sunny happy energies you've got going on One thing is for sure, it is what helps you to not scatter your energies to a million different things as you said. Esp. being in the 6th.

@12Muddy:This may sound weird but there is something amazingly wonderful about your entire post. I just feel so happy reading it. I suppose b/c I imagine those to be really nice & relaxing hobbies (except for the pranks of course lol) but esp. the Artisan metal working. Now THAT sounds amazing (I've always wanted to try both wood and metal working). Actually I'm full of Mercury energy so I've always wanted to try everything . Nevertheless, few things probably feel as wonderful as crafting that way with all of the creativity and detail it takes. I used to do ceramics in school and it is still one of my best memories

@PixieJane: Wow, definitely coming back to reply to your post in more detail!

What a nice idea!

AC: Pisces

I think hobbies are my hobbies, it just depend on my mood and my current interest.
I haven't touched my pens in something like 6 months, I may touch them soon if I feel like it. I stopped interesting myself in astrology for like a year before coming back.
I think there's only CrossFit who's an ongoing passion, but it's so versatile that it manages to keep my interest.

Thank you

About the book - it has 200 pages but it is just the begining of story - i have to edit it ofcourse,so that might add or decrease number of pages - its hard for me to start writing,once i begin i cant make myself to stop because ideas and words are there and i feel like i have to write them down that very moment xD But once i stop writing (or painting,sometimes i paint whole day )it takes time to get back on track - i have lazy aspects too,so..8)

I used to be an artist. Drawing and painting all the time. Mars in the 4th, square Moon/Venus/Nodes. Neptune trine MC and Jupiter.

* Photography
* Cooking (depends on the day)
* Gardening (hoping to lower the food budget, and I love to see things grow)
* I would like to volunteer at the dog pound. They really work hard to find homes for their dogs, and take good care of them.
* Reading

Sun in the 6th - re: health, and growing food. I'll be making some turmeric paste soon, for use in drinks or cooking. Also growing herbs for the same purpose. I just made my own coconut butter, as well.

Mars in Pisces aspecting personal planets, and ruling my Sun: photography, and reading. Also the Neptune trines.

Reading is attributed to Gemini, and I guess Neptune.

Animals = 6th house planets, but also my 5th house Jupiter square Saturn and opposed Pluto. Trying to help those who can't help themselves. Same goes for children. I used to want to foster children and animals, years ago.
