I'm a beginner and have always had a pretty good intuition about things but I'm really wanting to tap into it more and was wondering if anyone has any exercises they use or have used to strengthen it?

Any help is much appreciated

Meditation lol. Being a Pisces Moon helps quite a bit, along with being an Aqua sun.

Make sure your consciously aware of such abilities and consciously tap into them when needed. Knowing that the ability is there can strengthen it a great deal on its own, so make sure that you are consciously aware of such. Test your instincts and try to deduce a pattern, then stick to that pattern and see how it works out.

Lots of internal work must be done in order to strengthen such an ability lol.

I was just looking this up last night.

They say, intuition is like a muscle - the more you use it, the stronger it gets.

I just need people who are willing to "play psychic" with me. Letting me guess random stuff about them.

Well....
I personally am sometimes psychic
Meaning I notice patterns which gives me a sense of what can happen

My advice is:
Pay attention to what's new
If something sticks out of the ordinary and you notice it
Chances are it will happen again and everything we experience each detail has been part of something else that someone thinks about or is going through its all connected

If I were to try to sharpen my intuition, I'd start with meditation to clear my mind. This is not guided visualizations, but setting a timer and trying to clear my mind of all but my own breathing for several minutes, and building up to more.

Some introspection seems mandatory to me. Too many people, including (perhaps even especially, though maybe they're just the most obvious) the ones who brag that they have an intuition as sharp as a Jedi's, are actually mistaking prejudice, assumptions based on surface appearances, (false) rumors and gossip, and things like that for intuition (and forgetting the hundred times or so they were wrong while recalling the dozen times they may have been right, and others have a gift for creating self-fulfilling prophecies). A good sign that this is not the case is if it seems surprising to you (that is, it feels odd rather than familiar or somehow making sense), but if it doesn't, it might do well to explore why you carry assumptions, and work to either make them more realistic, or weed them out entirely, as they get in the way of intuition, and make you more delusional than intuitive. (Of course, even prejudice and other delusions can be coincidentally right in individual cases.)

Beyond that, there are two major types of intuition: those that are based on the subconscious picking up many subtle details and alerting your conscious mind in a vague feeling sort of way (I've had this and was able to make sense out of it later) which you can sharpen by learning to pay more conscious attention to your surroundings, and the other kind that seems pure psychic (I've experienced this as well, though extremely rarely, and is just baffling to me), which I think that meditation I mentioned would probably help with (especially as I meditated like that regularly when I had such flashes, not counting when I was a teenager and had other reasons that can't be replicated, at least not safely or with predictable results).

Using your gut instinct as people have said is key. Observing people is a great way to do this.

Also, focusing on dreams, such as lucid dreaming, or in general being comfortable enough to actually let your mind/body sleep and let your soul or whatever roam, without being scared to loose control.

Strengthening your memory and mind is also a great tool. Memory games, tarot readings, art, music, etc. work for this.

Best of luck- you are on the right track already by stepping into being self aware, as that leads to being aware of everything around you.

I think it is moreso learning to TRUST your intuition. Your intuition is already there and functioning! Usually, from a young age, we are taught to ignore those intuitive nudges... Journaling about feelings you get can help.. You just need to learn to distinguish again what intuition feels like vs mind chatter

It is very true, Ami A.
People even have them when they are awake- times of stress, danger, trauma, or even happiness and daydreaming; it is also a coping tool. Placing yourself outside of your shoes for yourself or even to walk into someone else's is a reason we have intuition- because other people exist. We know what we need already.

I think of intuition as the soul's senses. It is aware of and knows the unseen world in a way our intellect cannot. So like Missblyss said, it is there already.

When I was younger I was always in the right place at the right time, and saying what was on the other person's mind. I didn't hear a voice or have a vision. Maybe that is a more evolved level of awareness. I was just kind of being. A good deal of this had to do with the spiritual power and momentum created by gratitude, but it also had to do with my general detachment from the world.

As I have grown, I've established an "identity". I have possessions, I have people and position to defend. I have "goals" to reach, and things I want. I am attached.

The physical senses (and emotional experiences) compete with the soul's awareness. When something appears in front of your physical eyes it's near impossible to "see" or be aware of anything else let alone that which is unseen. Meditation is an amazing way to put the soul's senses and physical senses on equal ground. You stop the physical stimulation. You quiet the mind. You can literally feel another kind of energy rising from your gut or heart area.

If you read the biographies of the sages and the enlightened through history and the world you will also find that they fasted, and practiced some form of self-denial, limiting external stimuli, and restraining the the physical senses and emotional experiences. It's always important to be careful of going to the extreme in these things, and gurus (guides) are always recommended...if you wanna go hard I mean 😊
