This topic can go anywhere depending on how you take it.

For me I feel like I haven't lived most of my life until like a year or two ago. I was so wonderful and happy and active and then one incident happened and I shut out the world and my view of it just shattered and I wasn't open to new things.
That's disappointing because I could have joined clubs. I could have went to restaurants and met interesting people...

Now I'm doing that but can you really make up for the years lost?

It's so WEIRD.
Okay, your turn.
If this is too much for you , you can leave. You don't need to post.

I feel like that's my moon square Saturn aspect
Or my Vedic moon in Scorpio
Or my other Vedic sun/moon Pisces

You can back it up astrologically.

the moon is in the 7th house... & Jupiter aligns with Mars... Then peace will guide the planets. And love will steer the stars!"

Mercury is very strong in my chart.

Mercury conjunct Sun, Mars and Jupiter.

It drives me nuts when people don't use proper reasoning in situations.

Whats worse is when people don't see or do things before they happen even if the signs are there.

Thankfully there aren't many posters here from Canada. But that's why the Canadian economy is in ruins.

The signs were obvious that commodities were at an end. Economists from the major cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver) were well aware and yet people located in the rural parts of the country wanted to believe resources would carry on until forever.

Ellen Degeneres is correct, Canadians are nice but not that nice. Specifically in the rural regions. The east and west coasts are nice but as you move inland the less friendly people are climaxing in Alberta (Trump Land number 2).

It really comes down to which grad school you want to attend. The lesser institutions are pretty lax with Admissions of course the disadvantage is the less reputable institutions and programs can quickly turn into money pits.

Personally, Its more easier for me to get a MSc or M.Eng in England as an international student as oppose to in North America.

The costs and quality would almost be equal, I don't think North Americans get much value for money.

At least your family is supportive, my dad finished a grad degree in a less productive field and he has the assumption that all grad degrees are useless.

The reality is its because he makes basic grammar and spelling mistakes it takes away his credibility.

My parents are both simple Cancers they have no value for education.

Biggest disappointment?

Things that are outside of my control.

Life is not what I thought it would be.

But then some of my happiest surprises come from that same thing...life is not what I thought it would be.

Relationships. I got a raw deal a couple of years ago and basically just shut down. I haven't bounced back the way I had hoped.

Same thing with my last job and career in general. it's disappointing that I'm no where closer to having it "figured out" than I was a couple of years ago.

Not sure what's causing this, but I have had some rough transits lately. Chiron and Neptune opposite my Virgo stellium, Saturn in my 10th house, Saturn opposite my Moon/Mars in Gemini. And probably something else...

No quoting please.

SV,

Saturn can be quite the downer sometimes. Is it natally opposite Moon/Mars or is it transiting Saturn that's opposing them?

It's okay though, you don't have to have it all figured out. FWIW, at least you have the mental capacity to fight another day. As long as you have that, troubles can be dealt with.

Sag MC's don't give up.

Hi Elysia,

It's transiting Saturn opposition that's causing the most problems, I think. I do have Moon, Venus and Mars in a Thor's hammer configuration with Saturn, though.

Thanks for the encouragement. Yep, Sag MCs are fighters.

I did horrible in high school and almost dropped out (but thankfully didn't) due to a bad drug addiction and I didn't start college until I was 21. So I had to start college by taking high school courses and it's been years and I'm still not near finished.

Since I'm still in school, I can't financially support myself or my parents, and have to rely on them. They don't mind but being in my mid twenties it just doesn't feel right at all. My parents work hard and not being able to support them financially just sucks and it's a huge failure on my part.

'Smart' students are not born smart, nor are they actually smart. They just practice good study habits and learn how to utilize resources (like tutoring services, study groups, etc). With today's education level, most of college is just repetition and memorization. Like Einstein said, "Information is not knowledge."

For example, the world's greatest olympic swimmers were not 'born' that way, nor were they naturally inclined to swim. They just got in a pool one day as a kid and loved it so they kept doing it!

aquagembaby,

I'm glad you were able to recover.
Don't worry about the age thing.

Its a timing thing, some people aren't ready yet. For the "hard sciences" and engineering I find the average age is a lot higher.

Liberal Arts tends to attract people fresh from high school.

Yeah I'm a bio major.. I love science but the prerequisites are crazy, especially to transfer to a good university.

I'm definitely "recovered" as it was just a very intense phase for me. I have nothing in my chart that would explain it so it must have been a Pluto transit.

aquagembaby,

Aww.. I love bio Majors. I have yet to encounter one that doesn't like cats. I can always swap cat stories.

Take it as a complement, I find most bio majors tend to be better people since they learn about nature and the struggles all living things must undergo to survive.

Same. Maybe more specific, that life will never be what I want it to be, it's just not possible.
*moon sq. Neptune and Uranus*
*NN sq ASC*
*Chiron in the 2nd sq. Sun, quincunx Moon*

(Surprises being that.. there are obviously things I don't know about that I could want.. But that fantasy that I'm working my ass off for, is just never going to happen, and I'm still working my ass off for it. because there's nothing else I can do. Lol)

It's a tough decision for two reasons. I try not to regret. To me, things just are, were, and will be. I might say "should have" at first but then it doesn't take long for me to say, "It's too late for should have. This is now."
Also, if I were the type of person to regret often then I have a lot to regret.

I'll say that I regret not finding my ego until later in life. My identity. While I feel like I'm doing the best with what I have it's kind of like taking over for a co-worker who doesn't know what the hell they are supposed to be doing. So here I am, living in mediocrity because that's what I've left myself, my new self.

I guess then I should try to make the most of it because I have today. Tomorrow I could be gone. Who knows.

Aah! Well, maybe some nice Jupiter/Venus transits will ease it up soon..

OP,

Biggest disappointment, too-many-to-list and none-at-all at the same time.

I believe we're dealt the hand we're supposed to deal with, you know? If something about it bothers me, then it's up to me to fight my way out of it. So, I'm not going to list any circumstances here. The 'try' is up to me, the outcome - not so much. So, to me, disappointments are more around where I couldn't 'get it together' long enough to give it my best shot. For whatever reason. Emotional/mental/physical turbulence. Every time there was something I could have done, no matter how far-fetched, if I didn't *attempt* to get at it - that's something I deeply regret.

Also - times when I should have trusted my instinct, but didn't - sticky endings. I did know better, then why did I ignore my instincts? That sort of thing.

(Sorry if it's too vague, perhaps..)

You just made me realize how being such a total head it my earlier years keeps me from being disappointed. I never created expectations or maybe I would have a lot of disappointments if I was not losing my mind,, , ignorance IZ Bliss, after all
