8th house came to mind for me too. I had a very specific reason come to mind at first, but, the reason left pretty much as quickly as it came to mind. LolBut.. Someone who does it as a profession? As in, does work on other people? Idk. Pisces almost comes to mind.. Or maybe Aquarius. Still, the 8th house mainly comes to mind. IP: Logged |

Really? Hm. I can see it because of the transformational references, but Taurus is about your body and Venus has to do with appearance and aesthetics so those make more sense in my head. Open to discussion of course.IP: Logged |

Hmm.. I can see what you mean..But, there are circumstances in which the body modification is done as a more spiritually-influenced reason rather than simple aesthetics. Sometimes, certain modifications even being done as rites of passage within a religion or belief. I could see it relating with the 2nd house in purely aesthetic reasons though. IP: Logged |

My ears are piercedI'm going to do other body modifications also but I'm just saying the 8th house is the last area you would find this in 8th house would be about the meaning behind simple things

For extreme body modification I would posit Uranus, mars (acting out drive), and/or venus (desired aesthetic) in tight aspect. In addition, prob at least one in the 1st house (appearance) and/or with strong aspects to the ascendant/ruler of rising sign, maybe in the 2nd house (personal values) or Taurus.Mars, uranus and 6th house/ruler emphasized for more extreme body mods. Venus, the 9th house/ruler emphasized for religious mods. Sun and 5th house/ruler for personal expressions/self-designed/self-tattooed. Uranus oppositions or squares to sun, moon, 4th/10th house/ruler, for mods which challenge contextual culture (societal or familial). Aspects to midheaven/10th house/ruler of 10th for ppl who perform body modification procedures on others as a business. Aspects to 5th indicating designing mods/tattoos for others, 8th for actually performing modifications on others. Just hunches though! IP: Logged |

Aquarius Stellium of 5 here and I have to disagree with Uranus being an indicator. I won't even get piercings; at most a tattoo would be okay. Body modifications disgust me. I personally think Earth (especially Taurus and Virgo) would be interested in that. I haven't given much thought on it though. IP: Logged |

-Sun in AquariusI have a 1st house stellium w/ Uranus, Neptune and Mercury and I've had 5 tattoos and I've had 16 piercings in my life (this includes the piercings that accidentally closed up so I went to get them re pierced). I'm also in the process of getting 2 of my tattoos removed through laser removal. I've also done other forms of 'body modification' though I will not go into detail about it. So yeah I was quick to subject my body to these types of things, but now as an adult I don't ever want any piercings/tattoos again (mostly b/c I just grew out of that phase, plus I don't wanna spend anymore money on these things)

Scorpio and Pluto placements.Not exactly a fan of tattoos, at lest with piercings you can add/remove them depending on the occasion. Remember that's how they were able to round up 90% of all the members of the German SS.
They all had the SS Blood Group tattoo.
Ask them to take of there uniform and within seconds there identifiable and detained. Off topic, I was laughing when me and my mom were at a veterans parade and a unit of 65+ yrs old veterans walked with tattoos marking the date they all saw combat together. I've been trying to explain to her that there is an emotional connection to people who get tattoos and piercings.

1st house, as it represents body. Don't focus on 'modification', but on body. Besides, body modification generally (piercing, tattoos, scarification, etc) has become so common that it is no eccentric or especially unique. ------------------
