This Mars in Cancer is happy with his car since parts are cheap and its easy to repair and I don't have to always rely on a "crooked mechanic or car dealership"

I just re soldered my headlights, dealer wanted $260. Cost me $19 and 20 min of swearing doing it myself.

I think people would be more impressed with the fact you can fix the car yourself then someone who owns a BMW and is making the mechanic or dealership rich off simply repairs.

Again Mars in Cancer = Self Reliance.

@Anne
You forgot to to add in your description that the mars in cancer would have a full
repair kit for his bicycle and he would more likely handle brake downs himself.

^^ That's really cool!!

You know, I just realized, Cancer mars men seem to be really handy with tools and stuff. Man-around-the-house kinda thing. One fella I know built his own staircase, and loves gardening. Another got offended when his wife called over a carpenter to fix some things instead of asking him.

Mars in Sag

I am very aggressive in going after what I want. I like guys who have good hygiene but low maintenance...like eats healthy and is clean and looks good in a suit, but knows how to just throw on some sweats and pig out every now and then...he also has to be playful and competitive. Able to hold his own in a debate, but not too competitive and able to back down and not argue with me too much like another female...

I think my contradictions are due to my Mars in Sagitarrius vs my heavy Virgo influence (6th house stellium in Scorpio). Or maybe my Gemini ascendant is conflicted lol haha idk...

Asc Gemini
Sun Scorpio 6th
Moon Pisces 10th
Mercury Scorpio 6th
Venus Scorpio 6th
Mars Sagittarius 7th
Jupiter Scorpio 6th
Saturn Aquarius 10th
Uranus Capricorn 8th
Neptune Capricorn 8th
Pluto Scorpio 6th

I used to do the same and depending on what it is, I still do.
However, I grew extremely tired of it and decided that it was much more worthwhile and speedy for me to work a little more, doing what I do almost everyday to earn a little more money to allow someone else to help me out by doing things that they do every day.

I kind of do the valuation in my head. Oil change, I let them do it. It's not expensive and much much quicker for them. Plus nothing to dispose of and all that. Last thing that I did myself was replace a brake caliper because it was super easy and much more cost effective.
In my mind, I look beyond the tangible price but also look at my personal price on my time. Plus if I can help it I'd rather not be cussing while trying to squeeze my giant hands down in an engine and etc.
A bike might be different because everything is more or less right there.
Soldering headlights probably isn't too bad. I'd do that.
