(Ceri, I started this thread because it seems too good not to share this info.) Credit goes to Ceridwen for knowing about and sharing this info (thanks again). If you can expand on it's significance here at all, that would be excellent.

Essentially, my impression is that a superior conjunction of the Sun and Venus starts/ends an 8 year cycle of Venusian/Solar energetic resonance with effects for the duration of the next 8 years... (right?) and obviously reverberating forever...

I'm interpreting it intuitively as a kind of renaissance or epic new year, new moon type event but Venusian... a Venus transit/eclipse, which will have far reaching effects for all of us in terms of our relatedness, our capacity for love, our experience of life on earth and Venusian matters in general (a large subject).

Personal findings:

I guess most notable for me perhaps is the conjunction of the Sun and Venus itself falls on or around my partner's Ascendant and is conjunct our composite Chiron 0'44 separating. Very significant for us... if we take a rather positive slant on it informed a little by Magi astrology, it could be an incredibly deep and loving period for the two of us... where we are able to be absolutely vulnerable and fearless, truly in Love... it could also be otherwise of course

The other cool thing about this one at first glance is the MC in my location is conjunct our composite Sun.

Also, transiting Pallas was conjunct our Jupiter under one degree of orbit... Pallas-Jupiter is a theme in our relationship on some level, at least for me, it turns out.

I'm very relationship oriented which is why I look at most charts in terms of how it affects the most significant relationships in my life.

Wanting to share my findings re: the midpoints activating my chart at the moment of the conjunction though also (16'36 Gemini if you want to cast a chart for it also). I'm also sharing significant midpoints activating my partner's chart, as well as our composite, and wanting to encourage anybody else to share any findings they consider significant for them personally relating to this moment, and we can explore the potential long term significance of aspects which are active now.

Below I'm including the degree and sign of the midpoints I'm making note of just in case they also make important correlations to your chart. I know it's hard for a lot of people to look up midpoints so I thought including the degrees might be helpful.

Here's the stuff I noticed in regard to midpoints:

jupiter/pallas- 10'35 sag square my north node

pallas/north node- 11'57 sag square my north node

neptune/pallas- 9'23 pisces conjunct my north node

saturn/juno- 21'28 scorpio conjunct my sun

saturn/asc- 20'18 scorpio also widely conjunct my sun

vertex (where I am) conjunct d's venus, p. mars, p. chiron, and my progressed jupiter

vertex here was at 28'40 taurus)

uranus/ceres 21'10 aries conjunct d's sun

south node/vertex 22 55 aries conjunct d's sun

sun/chiron 5'50 taurus conjunct d's mars, composite north node

sun/south node and venus/south node 1'53 taurus (my descendant)

That last link shows the five-pointed star made by consecutive inferior Venus conjunctions:

So the superior conjunction happens every year and a half or so, but every 8 years it's in the same place in the zodiac. In 2008, the superior conjunction was at 18 Gemini.

This superior conjunction @ 16 Gemini is on the heliocentric north node of Venus.

In the chart you posted, Pluto @ 16 Capricorn is on my sun, and sun-Venus is on my 16 Gemini Mars. Struggling (Mars) to improve circumstances across the board (Venus) and meeting with resistance and let's just say boogey men (Pluto).

no matter if with your current partner or a new one. Well it`s clear though that things can`t stay the way they are, but it is a new cycle, and it is just the beginning things have about 8 years to unfold.

This one however might be specifically important on a global scale, as taking place on the helio Venus-Node, as you pointed out and wow, how awesome is that!!!

But it also might be because the synodic conjunction was aspecting the transiting Node (0°34).
It is a square so it`s like Sun-Venus is a skipped step globally, and all of us need to learn about our true values and needs in love and relationships.

It also brings to mind the ecclipse from march - was it a lunar or solar one?

no I think I meant the total solar ecclipse on 18 Pisces, not only the nodes right now resonated with that, but in the ecclipse chart there was Saturn on 16 Sagittarius the other end of our starting Sun-Venus-cycle.
I think it`s time to get real. with capital letters. REAL.
Time for cleaning up your messes, your dusty corners in the cellar or whereever and throw out everything you have no real use for anymore. Including the memories or even people who just clutter your closets, but aren`t actually helping you evolve.
But it is also time to value and SHOW your value to those who are valuable to you, who you really need in your life and who help you evolve (even if sometimes you mgiht think this is all too heavy and exhausting - it`s your JOB, noone said it would be easy!)

I guess us mutable kids with a lot going on aroiund 15-19 mutable will feel it the most, or feed it the most?

For me I guess it means finally getting to work with that Moon-Juno-Saturn-Karma-lump in my chart *sighs*

Oh and I think it might be very worthwile to check the Sun-Venus chart in relation to the composite (energetical exchange) and also to Davison (real-time manifestation of the relationship - and I know some will doubt that value, but hey here I am uncluttering my mental astro closet, and Davison is here to stay, as it`s proven useful and descriptive, even though often I had wished it wasn`t so. ).

Ah one more thing, actually the New-Moon phase, the beginning of the cycle starts with the inferior conjunction (back in august 2015 on 22 Leo), this now is more seen as a Full-Moon-phase, now we begin to see RESULTS, slowly, possibly over the next 8 years.
Why this is so I wondered, but maybe because after the inferior phase when Venus gets visible again she appears as morning star, and after the superior phase she is being evening star? and the morning is seen as a new beginning?

But however it might be, this is true for the 19 month cycle of Venus I think.
BUT in this instance here the 8 year cycle relates to GEMINI in your chart. That is what begins a new now.

you KNOW what happened 8 years ago in my life.
I met Mr Sag.
Right before the onset of the Sun-Venus-cycle that has now ended and transitond into a new cycle.

As I said in the other thread, it`s hilarious, that this coincides almost with our Davison-Solar Return (which takes place around 18th june every year).

Interestingly I just realized, next year in june 2017, our Davison Solar Return and Venus-Return will happen on the SAME day.

18th june 2017. (they are being just about 14 hours off each other)

First the Venus Return with ASC on 26 PIsces
- and just looking at that chart, I am getting scared

Then the Solar Return with ASC on 13 Libra and Jupiter exactly on it. Of course.
(and MOon on DESC)

I disgress, I try stopping to do that. lol

Anyway the superior conjunction now feels like infused with a lot of energy to me, like something wanting to burst open or free or I don`t know what.

2008 was so strange, in retrospect, well I ended 2007 with seeing the "other" P, and I remember I was in Berlin during New Year, on a Ferris Wheel just on top of it when the fireworks started, and I felt like destiny knocking. lol

In february I went to a concert, originally to see the other P but he was not there, instead I saw Mr Sag again (had fleetingly seen him 2 years before). It had been such a weird day or week, just following the solar ecclipse on my Moon exact, preceding the lunar ecclipse on his NN exact.

I did not talk to him then, I just saw him, or rather he saw me and there was just *something* about that big guy in the firetruck red coat. lol An energy that made the darkness illuminate with light, it sounds so cheesy, I know, but there was such an energy. I wasn`t falling for him back then or even developing a crush, just like you don`t really develop a crush on a nuclear explosion
And most of all I did nto understand why he would always be coming up on my level of the audience (even then he liked coming in from the back of the audience and walk through the aisle and climb on stage). Or why he made me feel so uneasy, in a way, because even though Ithought he could not see me in the dark (now I know better ) I felt like he was just piercing through the darkness, locating me (why should he?) and just staring at me, so that I was starting to squirm a little on my seat. I was not used to be stared at like that (well now I am. ).

I even remember how he was singing a love duet with his partner on stage and instead of looking at her on stage, he was turned into the audience, looking into my direction, I even remember the words: "From which star have you fallen from your night into my dream?"
Coincidental lyrics of course, but in retrospect, oh well, kinda fitting. lol

Well, no, I wasn`t attracted or crushing on him, to be honest he wasn`t my type (at least I thought so), but I was curious, there was *something*, some kind of weird pull, that I did not understand. And my Aqua Moon hates not understanding - and I was curious, but thought it was just some kind of temporary bout of insanity that night, due to some star alignment maybe.
But then well I was having a pretty restless night after that concert (I admit it even when I was home and knowing I was alone, I turned around several times, because his energy would just not leave me alone. It was as if his energy was surrounding me still, all over me, I think the sense couldn´t have been stronger if he had been really there. lol). But anyway when I woke up that morning, some blood vessel in my eye must have broken, as I had blood on my retina and hence seeing a dark spot all the time. The doctor said it happens sometimes and it heals itself. Just I had never had anything like that before.
I was even jokingly wondering: "what am I turning a blind eye to?" (well now I think I know. lol)

Curiously, I had made up my mind, of giving that weird unusual guy another look, see if he could deliver an alright performance on stage (coincidentally he had mentioned playing Jesus somewhere, and I was, well I liked the musical). and curiously just the days before I was going to see him, my eye had healed completely again.

And yeah, that was that I guess.

Well actually no, not completely, in between february and may he had been starting to haunt my dreams, and was exhausting me to the point that I totally unnerved once turned to him i my dreams and pretty much barking at him that he should leave me alone, I did not want anymore dreams and fantasies or not even spiritual somethings, if he wanted to meet me, he would have to do it in the REAL world.
Not even 2 weeks after that our first meeting took place (which was not planned by me; I did not know I would meet him until minutes before I did, even though I was of course planning seeing him on stage, I never wanted to see him lest talk to him, something I had done onlyH once or twice with another actor, and I did not want to ever talk to THIS one.
I just couldn`t leave. It sounds so silly, but I was wandering around the theatre trying to find my way back to the hotel, which was just a few hundred metres away, but I was so lost and disoriented, I was sort of always ending up near the theatre at the stage door - had I intended to go there I would never have found it, but as it was, after I passed the stage door the third time, I gave up, and just waited a few minutes, and then just when I realized how silly all of this was and I was turning to leave, the door opened and he walked down the stairs straight at me, pretty much ignoring the nice girls standing much closer to the stairs and admiring him. lol And well I guess the rest is somehow history.

Oh yes.. This reminds me of when i met my daughter's father.. 2009..
I was anticipating meeting my then boyfriend's sister with some trepidation but as we approached the farm house in the dark it was the person behind her who had my full attention. It was dark and I'd never met him, zero preconceptions, but it was like the air all around him was on fire...

It would be almost a year until we got together... He was at that time semi-resolving a relationship with that girl, the sister, who is now my good friend (she also happens to have dated D., during that winter i was pining for him not knowing he was out of town with her..).

This is giving me goosebumps. Really

After summer 2008 I was surrendering to my paranoia and decided to disappear and never show my face again to MR Sag. (oldish chironic issues that I never processed properly apparently raising their heads).

In 2009 I saw Jude Law on stage for the first time, which was a grand time (though exhausting experience not just for him, he actually felt like home. lol, but the things surrounding that trip), but when I came home, a 2 months later or so (on 10th september exact) I suddenly became sick. I mean I have never been really sick all my life, but suddenly I would develop digestive problems, major ones, it stressed me out, I was running to the doctor, but there was no medical reason for it.

(btw during that time Mr Sag was playing a scientist in a religiously themed play "In nomine patris" - he seems to have a thing of these themes, in december last year I saw him in "Pope Joan". and this summer it`s Judas and Jesus again, last summer it was a man ending up in hell by mistake, well not really, but that was the twist. lol - well those themes or knights, the man pretty much always has a sword in hish and if he is not playing Jesus. lol)

Anyway yes I kinda knew what he was doing, but I was busy running around, keeping myself busy, I had never processed meeting HIM, and then putting seeing Mr Law on top of it, maybe was too much for my poor soul and spirit. lol

But anyway, my problems got better in spring 2010, and returned in autumn 2010. lol and that game was repeated until sprin 2012, and since then my autumns have been digestive-problemfree.
But then again since then my autumns had been Mr-Sag-full. lol

But it was in january 2010, that I decided to see Mr Sag again, just to prove myself it had been nothing, he would totally bore me, and I could put it away.
That is the reason I was seeing him (he had a supporting role as the Big Bopper in "Buddy Holly") in january 2010. An afternoon-show, I figured: big crowd, he wouldn`t see me anyway.
Well he came on stage, and it was like his gaze was pulled towards me like being hooked on a string or something like that. I have no clue how he always knows where I am. He just does, and I suspect sooner than I know where HE is even.

It was not the end of it though, as in july 2010 (same day I had seen Jude in Hamlet the year before, and I did not want to be on my own that day) he was giving his first solo concert ever, just some kind of gig in a tavern, and I had convinced myself he wasn`t going to recognize me anyway, so I could go thre (yeah great idea - a tavern, 70 seats are NOT much!)

Still I really THOUGHT I was "safe". lol
And then I was bumping into him on the stairs, well he came down, I was going up, and he stopped a step above me (he tends to do that a lot. lol), greeted me and had the warmest smile I had ever seen on anyone`s face. I mean I was sure he could not remember me after all this time, but he made me feel like he not only did but like he was really happy to see me.
Of course I thought myself delusional, and even when he invited the whole audience after the concert to stay around, cause he wanted to play some more. lol, well I had preordered a cab, and it was absolutely important to get that cab, right?
He pretty much invited me (along with others of course) to stay, and I just left.I mean what SHOULD he have been thinking?

But yeah, that was 2010.

You don`t even want to hear the desastrous decisions of 2012.
