I wonder how much is shallow, and how much is honesty? They sound like a lot of people (especially those under 20, but even plenty who are much older), but most people aren't likely to say it outright. They usually talk about "how he makes me feel" (hot, because he's hot looking) rather than outright how he looks. And people tend to gravitate to those with similar values (whether stated or not) as otherwise there wouldn't be much to bond them as friends, so maybe they're just saying what at least most of the rest of y'all can relate to, but know better than to say (fearing how it would make them look).

Okay, the pretty boys sound unusual. I don't know how many guys would share such traits and just hide it well, but the idea of guys not liking someone because "he's better looking" was amusing to me. I'd guess they were rich kids who like to show off wealth with their beauty products and clothes, and perhaps seeing the girls all get hot for the pretty boy bands and want girls to get hot for them in the same way. Most guys wouldn't waste their time and money, unless it was for some identity affiliation with a faction or subculture, or for a sports team.

I was with someone who had mars in leo and he was very self-centered. He loved to be praised and if he wasn't being praised he would get moody. I don't know if he could be called shallow, but he definitely payed attention to my physical attributes. When he first talked to me he told me that he liked my designer jacket. LOL.

I'm a leo sun and I can be shallow I'll admit it. I'm initially drawn to good looks. Physical appearance matters a lot to me. Something I'm trying to work on.

I think Leos are more down-to-earth, though. They are usually self-approving and that frees them up to give natural, spontaneous reactions. Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez...they're fun to watch because they are easygoing and funny.

Libra women can sometimes be almost too poised and too self-conscious, and it draws criticism. Like Gwyneth Paltrow gets a lot of hate. She almost seems like she is putting on a show of herself instead of being herself.
I don't consider that shallow, though; if anything it's just another layer of mental deliberation. It can be endearing.

Libras foresee reactions and try to shape them, so they appeal to everyone on some level, balancing the scales. Leos actually don't care whether everyone likes them or not, they know their worth, & you can take it or leave it.

Something like that.

When I say I'm shallow, I mean that social status, allure, creativity, romance, fun, drama, and razzle and dazzle are priorities for me. I AM impressed by people who get famous and are adored, admired and celebrated--I think that the ability to be popular and publicly loved is a critically important human skill, a skill as important as all the "deep" ones. I am compatible with Libras, because many of them think that beauty is very important in the world.

However I would argue that seeking and valuing external beauty and "goodness" is not necessarily a bad thing.

Shallowness is a vice and like all vices, it is a quality taken to the extreme. Shallowness is when you lose sight of what's truly important and make priorities of trivial things.

Appreciating and aspiring to outer beauty is not shallow, having poor judgement and placing importance on vain and futile things AT THE EXPENSE of the substantial is shallow.

So to answer your question. Who's more shallow Leo or Libra? Whoever is the more immature one.

Saying a man who only likes attractive women is the stupidest thing I've read today. All men like attractive women. They may not be attractive to you or to everyone, but if they're attractive to them...of course they're going to like them.
