What is the chart ruler? Well, if you dont know, the chart ruler is the planet ruling your Rising sign. And since the Rising sign determines your entire chart, this planet rules the chart. So, if you have an Aries Rising, then Mars is your chart ruler because Mars rules the sign of Aries. I trust most of you reading this already know your charts ruling planet but lets just go through them all:Aries Rising Mars is the chart ruler Taurus Rising Venus is the chart ruler Gemini Rising Mercury is the chart ruler Cancer Rising Moon is the chart ruler Leo Rising Sun is the chart ruler Virgo Rising Mercury is the chart ruler Libra Rising Venus is the chart ruler Sagittarius Rising Jupiter is the chart ruler Capricorn Rising Saturn is the chart ruler These three signs have both a traditional and a modern ruling planet. So, you can consider both: Scorpio Rising Mars is the traditional chart ruler; Pluto is the modern chart ruler Aquarius Rising Saturn is the traditional chart ruler; Uranus is the modern chart ruler Pisces Rising Jupiter is the traditional chart ruler; Neptune is the modern chart ruler. http://astroarena12.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-chart-ruler-what-kind-of-movie-is.html I guess I am asking what is a dominant theme in your life, do you find your chart ruler and its aspects paints a clear picture of the dominant theme in your life and the tone of it? Sun as chart ruler. My Sun is rather obscured by Neptune and conjunctions with BML and Pholus in H8. Sun and BML are both trine Uranus in my chart. It has quite a few aspects in general. I would say that those aspects, in combination with house placement do paint a theme for my life. Pisces Sun by itself, not particularly. If my life had a movie theme, it would probably be created by David Lynch (except more mundane; I won't pretend to be quite that interesting...although no one can accuse me of living a dull life). Asc Aries, Mars in 6th(Placidus)I think a lot and am prone to headaches and feelings of light-headedness. I feel like my cranium is slightly larger than most people i meet and my mind is hardly ever at rest. As i am constantly thinking. I am a bit of a workaholic as when my physical body is not there, my mind is. I get anxious ,worry pretty easily about work stuff and talk about work related things too. Now that i am not working, the anxiety has eased up. But since being informed that gym is a 6th house thing and not the 5th, it explains why i when i work out(6th) rigorously, i get dizzy I do have eyesight issues(Mars in 6th).So i wear glasses. Edit: Sherlock Holmes would be the movie. IP: Logged |

Leo ASC, 6H Capricorn sunSun sextile moon, novile Venus, quincunx Mars, square Jupiter, quindecile and in mutual reception with Saturn, square Pluto edit Skipping some grim details, Lorenzo's Oil has always been a favorite of mine. The way my health-nut friends and I have approached certain illnesses, in a kind of maverick, self-teaching fashion, has parallels to that. IP: Logged |

Cap Rising, Saturn in 7h conjunct my Moon....I feel like the planets that much more embody my life, life story, personality are: Leo Sun 8h conjunct Mercury or Pisces Jupiter 2h/3h, which is the singleton in my pitcher chart and does trine my chart ruler My life would be like a Wim Wenders movie or a Paolo Sorrentino movie--big and too self-serious/self-important but with surprising beauty and sly humor, too. My chart ruler is Venus its in scorpio, conjunct pluto on the DC trine Jupiter semisquare Uranus most definitely a dominant and very prominent theme in my life. learning how to balance my intensity with others, controlling myself, and being comfortable alone so I can truly learn a higher state of love, the healed healer in a sense. really intense relationships.. but every guy ive ever been in a relationship, ended up becoming better after I left them, its so weird, they never wanna help grow and change while their with me.. then I dump there azzes and they instantly change thinking ill come back..THATS a big time theme lol. plutos transformative powers, me and my partners come out better in the end..its not as intense and far fewer with friends, ive never had a "light" and "breezy" relationship... a movie would be something super dramatic, artsy and on emotionally/mentally on the edge ha, I'm thinking a Leonardo DiCaprio movie, like Inception, and honestly his Romeo and Juliet wouldn't be too far off haha.

There are times when it's been sort of like Pleasantville (I loved that movie). Scorpio ascendant, conjunct Uranus. Trine Mars in Pisces. Sun in the 6h house, Pluto 11th or 12th. Mars = 4th house. I'll try to think of a proper one another time. There have also been times when it's been more like the Hunger Games. IP: Logged |

Cap rising. There were times I felt like this character here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kBwFPSa54w "Pretty fking far from ok.' 'But I'll live lol" Heh I think my life is a dark comedy movie. But I suppose I feel that way because as time goes by I develop a kind of acceptance and see the humor in the things life brings. IP: Logged |

Interesting Gabby so you specifically related to her role as a mother in that story? Or how she commits suicide after her husband passes away? Or do you relate to the fact that she experiences so much loss? I relate to Robert Williams doing everything to get her back even going to hell and risking staying stuck there for her which could be explained by chart ruler pluto falling in the 12th sextile my Venus and Neptune and forming a golden yod with my moon in Pisces and Chiron and chart ruler Mars falling in the 10th conjuncting Venus. Good movie to bring up! The thing is pluto in the 12th can relate to her desire to die after losing it all but Scorpio rising could never actually go through with attempting to kill themselves bc they don't believe in giving up ever, it's a form of weakness that they abhor, they may entertain it but it's ultimately beneath them and what they are about. This is the best pluto in the 12th description I have come accross so far in the web, this person did a great job, it will help you understand better that placement, I could really relate with it: http://sakurainlove.wordpress.com/2014/05/10/natal-pluto-in-the-12th-house/ Here is a worth checking out YouTube video on that placement: http://youtu.be/nI4IF1faLBg IP: Logged |

My friend also has Aries ASC and Mars in the 6th house and she wears glasses. --- My chart ruler is the Sun (in Capricorn, parallel Mercury and widely conjunct Neptune, there's more i just don't remember) but i don't know what movie my life is about, i think maybe The perks of being a wallflower except that i don't do drugs and have no good and close friends. Wow! this is quite a coincidence. In the past few days I've been thinking about how you can map out a person's life following the Ascendant ruler. If you only had one clue to work with....I'd work with that. hypatia238 great topic Ruling planet is Jupiter in Sagittarius. It makes a Vigintile aspect (18*) to the ascendant. I take offence to odious behavior. In the 12th house, it is Pisces co rule. ------------------ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...Lao Tzu IP: Logged |

I was mostly kidding about the Hunger Games, but a boy tried to set fire to my hair in school, and I've had to defend myself physically before. This has always reminded me of me and my sister. She couldn't wait to fall in love, and I was wary of it, because it always seemed to bring trouble to the adults around us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx4v5FcBARE IP: Logged |
