I'm always willing to learn more about the 12H and the more I learn, the more of a mystery it is to me.

Tell us your 12H cusp, planets, and any aspects and explain what you think it means to you and how you've seen it play out in your own life.

This is difficult for me so I hope the responses I get from people will help me understand more. My 12H cusp is Scorpio and it's an empty house. Pluto is in the 11H and it's in Scorpio, making a sextile to Mercury in Capricorn in the 1H.

My 12th house is ruled by Venus (it's in Libra) and it's empty. Well, if I was to get technical, my Mars would be in it, but its conjunction to the Ascendant is so tight that its effects are basically negligible. My Venus is unafflicted, making only one square to Chiron (I consider at least two afflictions to be an afflicted planet) whilst making a Trine to my Ascendant and Mars, sextile Saturn, and semi-sextile Jupiter.

There's honestly not much I can say about it considering that it's not very influential in my life. Struggling with vulnerability perhaps...

And how do you interpret this?

I'm not exactly sure tbh. The 12th house in general to me is a weird house, not that it is unusual but it's difficult to grasp.

Perhaps since my Venus is in Aquarius in the 4th that a lot of my subconcious desires have to do with Venusian interests? Often at the home is often where I feel a lot of pain regarding relationships and my desire for them, and I can often get stuck day dreaming about them. Not sure how the Aquarius bit plays out.

Of course, I may be entirely wrong since this house is so weird to me, but at least I could contribute something

12th Virgo so ruled by mercury.
The house is intercepted.
Mercury, chart ruler and 12th ruler, along with Venus and mars. Though mars is less than a degree from asc.

I often have strong intuition about others thoughts and feelings but I wouldn't say that I can read thoughts or anything.
I love being alone most of the time. I'm the quiet guy that sits in the corner of the restaurant. At work I take my breaks at odd times so that I can sit alone. There's no fear of anyone. It's just that I prefer not to deal with them. Mindless small talk is so boring, though I understand its purpose... I think. Occasionally I'll sit with a buddy if they happen to be in there.
I am not secretive for the sake of being secretive or out of fear, etc. Often I simply forget to say anything. I'll even have chronic pain and not say anything about it unless I can't stand it. I did this recently. I had pain for weeks and when my wife found out she wasn't happy that I didn't say anything. I wasn't hiding it. I do that kind of thing ALL THE TIME. I just don't think to say anything.

Mine is ruled by Sag. I have Mars there, conjunct Neptune.

Mars is also sextile my MC and trine my NN.

12th House in Libra & Scorpio, empty house: Subconscious and Equality. So a lot of internal arguing. Which gets quite tiresome, but unless some new major information or path option comes up (or several littles bits that add up), usually stays the same. Add the confinement that can be associated with 12th House and it comes out in similar but different ways i guess. Choose the option that is best for other people rather than myself, in regards to if i know I'm strong enough (and sometimes not) to put other people's idk welfare ahead of myself then do. 12th house fears, go back and forth, get tired and push way forward, then back and forth. Major fears just contemplate in head as the first step to physically overcome them is trust, which back and forth, with consequences or less than desirable paths not worth the better paths atm. Notice have very vivid and extreme dreams, where libra comes in is that not always myself in dreams, can take another's point of view. Scorpio in it brings i guess hidden or internal transformations rather than external.

12th/7th House Ruler Venus in 2nd House (Cap): Here the 12th house comes out in deny myself beautiful things i want. Don't value things in monetary terms or objects. Don't get me wrong, living better than currently am would be nice, but depends on what the costs are if it's worth it. Have few objects but they hold memories or a heirloom to me of sorts. More interesting in being treated as an equal or see everything as equals. Charity comes out in time given to people, helping them as well as the monetary side.

Think given you have Scorpio/sag??? in 12th you might do those internal transformations but maybe like a walkabout, spiritual/outdoors but with a group rather than on own? Idk.

My 12th house is in Sagittarius, and I have a 12th house NN in all house systems. (In Whole Sign, also a 12th house Neptune.). The 12th house is VERY important to my chart because of that NN....I'm meant to go in a 12th house/Piscean/Sagittarian/Jupiterean/Neptunian direction in my life---I also have my 12th house ruler, Jupiter, in my 2nd house or 3rd house squaring my nodes, and it's the spout of my pitcher chart.....so learning about and getting closer to and practicing 12th house things brings me more into my very lucky and mystical Jupiter, and my Jupiter brings me in the direction of my North Node. I have a lot of friends whose planets fall in my 12th house.

I'm meant to move away from the nitpicking energy of my Virgo Mars and 6th house Gemini SN and probably even my Leo Mercury and my sad Cancer Moon-Saturn-Venus stellium in my 7th house, and to embrace the infinity of the universe. It's a challenge, like any NN journey.

Edited to add--most of my chart falls in my 7-10 houses (other than that Jupiter)---so I am VERY focused on validation through others, what others think and feel with and about me.....and I am meant to let go of that. The 12th house is about turning far far inward (we are never more alone than at the moment of death), but also merging completely with universal love and knowing that you are one with all other beings (we are never actuslly alone/separated)

My 12th is in Taurus, completely empty.

No idea what this means really, the ruler is Venus and it's in Virgo (3rd house). Venus trine Mars and Neptune, square Saturn, Uranus, AC, and Chiron.

The 12th house ruler, Pisces, is in the 9th house, where I have Jupiter conjunct my MC, with aspects to the Sun/Mercury, Uranus, Chiron, and AC. The MC also aspects the Moon, Saturn, and Neptune.

Neptune is in the 7th house, in Capri.

I'm a 12th houser with a stellium in this house: Saturn (which is my chart ruler), Uranus and Neptune.

It has led to a very lonely life. The hallmark of Saturn in the 12th is that haunting loneliness and I can feel like such an outcast (Uranus) and get lost in this sort of self pity (Neptune). Its also the sense that things are so out of my control and any attempt at a happy, stable life just ends up becoming an illusion and leaving me deeply disappointed.

But I am so grateful for my 12th house stellium because I see through the illusions that so many people do not: that no one is as happy as they seem, that normal does not exist, that what we call reality is often just meaningless. Saturn's presence here can make these realizations harsh at times. But it makes me stronger.

In the end, being a 12th house person is to walk alone while also knowing that you're never truly alone. Not only because someone somewhere has felt exactly what you're feeling now (tying into the collective unconscious thing which gives us empathy) but because there is always a spiritual guide with us. 12th house people have to have that spiritual anchor, especially for me with Saturn here. I feel lost and unloved without it. I have to believe in God but not the Christian version of God. The 12th house is spiritual not religious. Its more about trusting in that infinite Source of love and wisdom.

A lot of 12th house people will always feel like we aren't loved enough by others. Its because the love here on earth is often so temporary, conditional, judgmental, and fleeting, as well as horribly painful. Its why we need to tap into the Eternal Love from the Creator. Then we can see people in a different light. It's why we have to be selfless, to have no expectations, to give without demanding to receive. If not, we will be endlessly disappointed and feel like no one loves us. But when we focus more on just purely giving love, on making sure other people feel good (but within boundaries), we will be able to receive love in a different way and open our eyes to the true abundant love around us, even if its in the smallest or most random form.

Do you idealize love and seek the perfect, out of this world relationship? Do you feel awkward or even ashamed about your indulgent side?

12th house on Pisces cusp. Empty with the exception of P.O.F in Aries.

Merc and Jupiter trine P.O.F, but I don't know anything about it or whether it's relevant or not.

Neptune is in Cap 9th house.

Gabriel Lee: Yeah I have Scorpio 12H so I might relate to half of what you said. I do have random times of paranoia where I go around suspecting everybody. Idk if that's some unconscious mechanism from the 12H.

I think I get what you're saying about internal transformations tho. And yes, Pluto is in my 11H so I have powerful feelings when I'm w/ a group of people.

Truth^

Were you born in the late 80s? I know a lot of people this age w/ 12H stelliums.

Does Saturn make it difficult for you to get in touch w/ yourself spiritually or understanding this part of yourself? Neptune in the 12H seems like a natural placement tho.

Yes I was born in 1989. Today is my birthday actually!

But no I have never had a resistance to 12th house things (although I am scared of doing drugs, even prescription pills, and insist on never doing them and have a healthy wariness of ghosts). It is either because Saturn in the 12th is my chart ruler or because Neptune is in the 12th too or both. But I have always been very spiritual, introspective, imaginative, artistic. In fact, most Saturn in the 12th people are this way without having to work at it too much because its very unconscious in expression.

I think the true test of Saturn in the 12th has been knowing how to use those spiritual, visionary gifts without the ego being involved. That is how I have struggled and been held back. Anytime I don't act from higher ideals, I feel the consequences. So I always have to focus on a purpose bigger than myself.

Also, as I said before, I think the aloneness is probably hardest to deal with. But I have really been healing my attitude toward that part of my life. Not being bitter, self pitying or depressed but trusting that even if I am physically alone sometimes, I am always receiving love and support, not just from the Universe/Creator but maybe even from people not even with me, whether they are alive or in the other realm.

I actually do seek out the perfect, out of this world relationship. However, I'm not ashamed of my indulgent side which is probably thanks to Venus conjunct my South Node.

My 12 house has saturn conjunct nn in virgo. Chaotic upbringing , ups and downs in life but brings about spiritual cultivation. Understand human sufferings and want to heal people because of my own journey to heal.

What you said about the ego actually makes sense. Seems like Saturn in 12H wants you to be as authentic as possible?

The best way I can explain my 12th house experience is: The thought fog which began as ice crystals melted into condensation and became so dark and swirled like a thunder-storm has cleared quite a bit. But it is still hovering near by. My rose-coloured glasses have been swept away by a whirlwind of life. Now I can see a vast array of past experiences and future possibilities.

I totally relate.

I have 12H Saturn in mutual reception with my sun; Pisces moon rules the 12th. So my 12th incorporates the energy of both luminaries. And you describe my own thinking so well, thank you!

PS Happy belated birthday!

Faith,
Thank you! I always have an immediate soft spot for anyone I come across who also has Saturn in the 12th. It is such a deep and difficult and ultimately really rewarding placement. It is almost like we have to live a different reality than most people.

Aquagembaby,
Yeah, it is stripping the ego away and teaching you how strong and substantial you can be when you just rely on the soul and the spirit.
