It places my stellium in 5th house. Yayyy!! After having spent 6 years in Astrology and moving on from it, I finally found a house placement description for my Sun that I can actually relate to, could never relate to being a 4th house Sun and all that family, land crap. 5th house Sun fits me much better. My whole life has revolved around Art, Music, Sports and people with Leo placements, this kind of explains it but I do have a 5th house Venus even in placidus. My chart does look much better now, no more boring 4th house **** ! This actually would place 7 of my planets in Fire Houses, and gives me much needed Fire( I'm a fire void). And plenty of drama to add to it, har, har!IP: Logged |

I use this system now. And it has been quite interesting.My chart has Aries on the 1st house cusp and therefore everything falls in its place. I certainly relate to each description. But am still examining transits to really be sure Jupiter is transiting the 7th house now and this is the house of opening up to others and projecting an optimistic jovial attitude for the next two years. My chart makes a lot more sense with the whole systemI have a stellium in 6 with placidus and its in the 7th with whole house.
And I certainly feel like a stellium in the 7th
Huge issues with relationships feeling like I live according to everyone else but me and ending up being a loner... Also chiron in the 1st instead of the 12th makes a lot of sense. As for the rest both could apply So I dont really know what to think
If I was born one hour earlier i would have had this stellium in 7th and chiron in the 1st
So maybe thats why
Because for other people im not sure it applies I wish we could have definite answers about domification and astrology rules *sigh* IP: Logged |

Ceri & Belage, I have 7 fire planets. Seven. Can you explain how the hell I'd be so much of an introvert with them placed in earth and air houses? Because I can't see a way. And no, the Asc is not that powerful. If we go by Placidus, I have Aqua intercepted and guess what, I'm not very friendly and sociable. I am still not 100% sure about WS but it's the closest a house system has gotten to explain my personality and behaviour. IP: Logged |

Well, let me ask this question. With whole sign house, my Venus, mercury, mars are all first house.
So do I seem like a first house Venus, mercury, mars to you? That's a pretty drastic change if you ask me. Maybe not mars. It's barely 12th by less than a degree. IP: Logged |

It seems the best way to look at placidus vs. whole sign houses is to just combine the two.
When I go to CafeAstrology I relate to both descriptions of the houses. I look at my placidus houses as my psychology, my mental state from my upbringing
And my whole sign houses as who I really am, the active result of my upbringing and psychology. ------------------

I think it depends on the location. For me, the Placidus is more accurate as I was born in California, and Placidus fits the people I know better (plus I'd have Sun in 10th and Saturn and Neptune in the 5th in whole sign system, and Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in the 4th is VERY accurate, which is where they are in Placidus). However, for places closer to the north and south poles, the whole sign system works better as Placidus creates gigantic and small houses for people born in those areas.IP: Logged |
