Whole Signs... is called "The Natural Chart."

Remove the spokes (house cusps) from your natal wheel. .. No placidus, Koch, etc.

Instead, look at the rim of the natal wheel, and draw cusps of each sign, going around the whole wheel, starting at 0-Degrees of each new zodiac sign...

All planets belonging to Aries fall into one house, starting with 0-Degrees.
All planets of Taurus in next house, starting at 0-Degrees, etc.

The sign where your ascendant falls is marked as the first house. That whole sign is now marked as the first house, the whole sign that follows that sign is the second house, and etc. With my Ascendant in Scorpio, using Whole Signs, my Mars and Ascendant are in the first house. Unlike placidus, where my Mercury and Neptune are in the third, whole signs puts all five of my Aquarius planets in my fourth house, giving me a large fourth house stellium because Aquarius is the fourth sign away from Scorpio, where my Ascendant falls. What mirage is saying is that if you looked at the chart wheel, by itself, no birth data.
The chart begins at zero Aries.

Oh whoops lol. So basically, mark the house cusps by the signs starting from Aries as in Aries being the first house, Taurus being the second and so forth.

Well, if you didn't know before, now you know how both work. There's some use for it

I recently switched to whole signs house system. I was a big fan of Placidus because I liked some of my placements there, but I think WS fits me much better. It tells the true story of me, I am a hermit while Placidus has me as an extrovert. I never understood why I held myself back so much, when I should've been outgoing and friendly according to my Placidus chart. You'd think I'm uber bossy and have no trouble whatsoever to get my point across and get my way. But reality is nothing like that, sadly. I've always been withdrawn and quiet and prefer my own company, attracted to the profound things in life, spirituality and the like. I work in a hospital and you could say I live a double life because part of it is secret. I am a homebody, I feel way better inside than outdoors. I'm softspoken and soothing, I've been called "angelic" and fragile. I have very watery eyes that seem otherworldly. I have weak energy and always sucked at sports, but I recently picked up swimming and I could do it all day if I had to! While I don't remember most of my dreams, the ones I do have been very important, some were prophetic. I used to day-dream a lot. I procrastinate and I am pretty messy, except at work. I'm shy and rarely approach people, but once I befriend someone I am very accommodating and care a lot about them and their feelings. I am intuitive, sometimes I know what someone is about to say.

Neither chart is the chart of an extrovert imo.
Even Placidus points the tendency to introversion, with so many planets below the horizon and on the Eastern side of the chart.

Whole sign chart however is a description of the distribution of planets in natural relation to the ASC.

WHOLE SIGN astrology would highlight the relationships between signs to each other, irrespective of their placement in the sign (though removing orbs).

a planet on any degree in Libra would be trine to any planet in Gemini, even if the planet was 29 Libra and the other at 1 Gemini.

However if a planet was at 29 Libra and another at 1 Scorpio they would NOT be conjunct in this system (despite an orb of just 2 degrees), because they are connecting different signbackgrounds towards each other.

My sun/mercury in 7H goes to 8H
Venus in 9H goes to 10H
Jupiter 4H goes to 5H

Basically changed my whole chart.

I started analysing my transits, progressions and solar returns with whole signs and it made so much sense to me. The events of my life were much more obvious in the whole signs chart.

On the other hand, I have some trouble with my WS natal chart. There's no way I have venus in the 9th house :P

That stellium in the 12th and North Node in the 6th in the whole signs system, makes a lot sense for a career in a hospital.

I have often felt my 11th house Moon made no sense, whole signs puts my Moon in the 12th, which adds up. I should really analyse the rest of my whole signs chart though, as I guess one house placement isn't enough to switch.

EDT It also moves my Mars/Saturn in the 12th to the 1st, and Jupiter from the 1st to the 2nd, which also is more fitting to my core nature and experiences.

Dancing Meanad, your "introversion" and career in hospital may be due to:

Being Capricorn rising. Yes, this rising sign tends to be introverted.

Your moon in the south node conjunct Neptune.

Your Neptune on the cusp of the 12th house.

Transit Pluto in your 12th house for many years would make you want to dig deep into 12th house matters like hospital, secrets, etc...

But if you feel whole houses works for you better, you're not alone. I know a few astrologers who swear by it.

Yes I had a reading with an astrologer the other day and she told me that my moon is in the 3rd house. I was like, "Nooo it's not. It's in the 2nd" and that's when she told me she uses Whole Signs Astrology. I then found out that it is the oldest form of house system in astrology.

It's really not that hard to combine both whole signs and placidus though. I can see how in some ways I can be a 5th house sun and not 4th house because I'm really into fun, entertainment, all that Leo stuff. And I L.O.V.E. Leos.

But I also know that I am for sure a 2nd house moon because just like Cafeastrology's description of this placement, I am a GRADE A packrat. I can't get rid of anything. But in Whole signs I am a 3rd house moon.

Well there is also the possibility your charts need to be rectified as often hospitals don't necessarily record right time. How do we know for sure time was recorded correctly? My time was recorded at 12:00 noon exact lol come on?

The fact that I have Saturn in Scorpio conjunct pluto in Libra by 4d and that this would not be taken into consideration with whole sign system makes me skeptical of it. A big theme in my life is to confront all my fears and leap forward even if I am scared and when I do this it leads to transformation, increased confidence, stronger identify and am rewarded.

And you are right. Here is a mixing up between whole sign ASTROLOGY and whole sign HOUSES. I think it is really the whole sign houses that is being discussed here though.
