I have to disagree Ami. While the possibilities you mentioned are true, I think it gives a will as solid as rock, and I know this from experience.

I know a Taurus who has the conjunction exact. She's been publicly humiliated, dealt with multiple breakups within a single year, had an abusive dad who then died of a blood clot, gotten into drug abuse and ditched multiple classes, and even was prone to cutting herself. She's only 17. She's still going, that's for sure, and that is strength. Is it not? Yes, she has needed help from time to time, but everybody does. That, to me, is strength.

I think they are stuck. I think we can work AROUND them and in that way, they may strengthen us.

I see it as a fence.

Say that one cannot jump the fence.

Maybe, one will be very resourceful and dig under the fence and get out.

However, the fence remains the fence.

The rest of the chart/person may be strengthened due to the fence, though.

That being said, I think other things contribute to my strength. My pluto is not all that active, but I have pluto themes. Scorpio ASC late degree, challenged by square from Saturn. My sun is conjunct Jupiter in 8th house. Also conjunct BML and Eros.

Pluto is conjunct Siva and Sekhmet, Hades conjunct DSC, Kaali square mars. These are all pluto like in some way, and they are all active in my chart. I believe this is where a lot of my personal strength comes from. Especially when my other aspects were muted.

I think is funny, my "public image", because every person I've met could say that I'm nice and that I couldn't do a "bad thing". They all have this thought about me. None of them could think that I could be really bad or whatever. Venus/MC is one of the aspects that says a lot about me.

Moon in 3th house yessssssssssssssssssssss. I need to express what I think and feel, always, like a vomit (haha). I have to. This is one of the reasons why I have a Blog.

That is me in a nut shell

I'm completely fine being alone, never getting married and becoming a cat lady.

I work a very intense job that most people would never be able to do, somehow I manage, it takes a lot of strength and accepting, death, as a part of life.

Having Aries Mars conjunct IC, I believe is a very strong placement.
