I dont think most people are fully comfortable with who they are and that's why they have troubles standing alone on their own feet.

Very interesting observation, it definitely resonates with my experiences. Also explains why Cancerian and Aqua types tend to repel each other more often than not.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. I actually have 3 personal planets in Cancer (Sun, Venus, and Mercury) plus my IC and I had a very difficult time fitting in and still do. I was always the outcast and wallflower in almost every social circle and never had many friends in school. Then again, my Aries Ascendant squares my Sun and Venus tightly, and I have Pisces Moon in the 12th with Aqua Saturn in the 11th squaring my Scorpio Pluto in the 8th, so I think those contribute to my alienation.

I also generally get along well with Aquarians and had two friends in grade school who were too. I always related to the Uranian description of marching to the beat of one's own drum and being untraditional, yet Uranus is not dominant in my chart. I never related to the whole Cancer motherly stereotype at all. I am a homebody though, at least that's for sure, but I don't have this desire to fit in with everyone. Quite the opposite actually, and I like it that way too.

One of my sister's best friends is also a Cancer and an extreme individualist, and honestly, we are both pretty similar in ways. Both of us never want to get married, don't want/care to have children, and are both artsy fartsy with eclectic interests.

Not sure if other Cancers can relate, but I sure don't with the typical descriptions. Well, except for the homebodiness and the moodiness.

^^^I would say moon in cancer especially

Cancer suns usually dont fit in either. But there is an awareness of that need.

Versus say aries placements for example tend to really go off on their own and could care less if they are the only one doing something
