I read somewhere that having this placement is similar to having Venus in Aquarius.

I think it is. IMO, it would make it a stronger version on Venus Aqua. Just like I think Sun square Pluto is like a stronger Scorpio sun.

I have Venus conjunct Saturn and I relate to Venus in Cap

I have Venus sq Uranus with Venus in 11H. I consider myself very Uranian but if similar to an Aqua Venus, I wouldn't be able to tell you. I do know that people in need of a more grounded Venus have a hard time with me..heck, I have a hard time with myself!

On a similar tangent though: my husband has Saturn conjunct Moon in Taurus and he is much more Cap than my own Cap Moon.

All in all, for me: do NOT be predictable! Do NOT be boring. Do NOT follow the usual day to day rat-race. Do NOT be like everyone else. Do NOT be satisfied with status quo!

Well there is similarities, but you can have a "stable" venus in aquarius, whereas if you have venus square uranus, your venus will be "unstable" no matter what, I'm afraid.
And what is a stable venus? As I see it a stable venus would receive good aspects between the planets, maybe be in a good house position, the ruler of your 7th house would also be in a good position etc.
So all in all many things could go wrong and make your venus more or less unstable, but venus square uranus is the most severe of them all, because eventually you will rebel against the relationship unless you really found the perfect match.

I would say no!

Venus in Aquarius--- how you love and what you are attracted to is related to the sign of Aquarius

Venus sq Uranus--fear of commitment when in love.

Feeling boxed in by love/commitment/ afraid of one person forever etc

I understand well I don't know why anyone would say the two are similar. I wish I could remember what site I read the article on.

Ok and the Venus square Uranus in a tight degree would be worse than having Venus trine Uranus in a wide degree?

Everything in a tight orb is stronger for better or worse and this case, it would be worse lol

My Venus is in Aquarius and somehow I don't see how it comes even close to being similar to Venus/Uranus square, opposition or conjunction. Maybe sextile or trine..? I just don't see Venus in Aquarius on its own as trouble, unlike hard aspects between Venus and Uranus.

In what way is Venus square Uranus trouble? This is the tightest aspect in my natal chart it's at 2°23s degrees. So because it's so tight I know it's even worse lol.

Well it's the whole fear of commitment thing. But just FYI, my sister has Venus sq Uranus and so does her husband. They have been together 17 years, with two children. I really think that Venus-Uranus people are best with other Venus-Uranus people

I was thinking that would probably be the case. Because then both people would be familiar with the energy. Do you feel the same way about the Venus trine/sextile Uranus aspect? That even people who have the easy aspect would be best with someone else who has the Venus trine/sextile Uranus aspect?

I do, yes. And I say this as someone who has Venus sextile Uranus. I have noticed that most of the men I have attracted have the Venus-uranus aspect too.

Even if the aspect is wide in the natal chart? Where you attracted to them as well?

I am attracted to them too. The last guy that I was insanely attracted to has venus square Uranus. I don't know about the orb size

I suppose the orb probably wouldn't matter really. I read this one guys chart and I think he has Venus sextile Uranus but the orb maybe wide. I've never met him in person but he's always flirting with me on Facebook yet he's married. I was curious as to why he kept flirting with me now I know why. So I guess people who have this aspect tend to flirt with others even while being in a relationship.

I have this aspect (albeit an orb of 5 degrees) and I don't identify with Venus in Aquarius. I feel like a true Virgo Venus.

I wouldn't say that. I have never been that way. You also have to look at other aspects. I am Virgo Venus and also have Venus conj. Saturn. Relationships are very serious to me.

No way for me! I have the square in 7h Cancer-9h/10h Libra near my midheaven, and my Cancer Venus is not Uranian/Aquarian in ANY way, and I have absolutely no Aquarian qualities in my expression of Venus or 7h issues. No fear of commitment. (Although, fear of abandonment and rejection.). When a romantic relationship is solid, I can give the other person space. By forcing myself, out of respect for them.

In the relationship that worked best that lasted longest, we would take "space" by hanging out with other people (together), traveling (together), and working on our exciting and separate work projects (but hanging out in the same room)....I'm really not that into separate vacations, seeing someone on the weekends, etc. my idea of "time apart" is that my partner and I each go hang out with separate friends for the night, then come home at 2am and gossip about our nights and crawl into bed together and make love....or we each spend a Saturday alone and meet in the afternoon for dinner.

Meanwhile, in my work I am VERY Uranian. Even though my Uranus is in Libra, I' only like certain kinds of collaborations. I have to work independently/for myself, not for a boss. I can't stand conformity in my work! I don't try to be nonconformist just for the sake of it or to be rebellious or anything, I just want my work to be purely itself (I'm a writer).

The way the square plays out for me at its worst is that sometimes (at bad times) those two sides of my personality aren't integrated well--there's my work side, energized, independent, interesting!!!!!! And then my 7th house Cancer side, where I just want to be a couple, even sometimes to lose my identity in the couple. My ideal relationship might include some kind of inspiring, creative work collaboration---like he would be a filmmaker and I'd work on his scripts, or he would be a wonderful agent who would market my work.

I do tend to be attracted to and attract Uranian-influenced men and Libra-ish men, and i'm never even a little bit attracted to Cancer types. I do not want the man to be clingy!!! I just want him to be happily present, and not notice or mind that I can get clingy.

You probably need a lot of freedom and space in your relationship. You get bored by anything that reminds you of routine - BUT it's individual what you value or not value in a relationship, so DON'T take this too literally. But at least you could reflect about it within yourself, in the way that makes sense to you.

Whatever you do, dont take it too literally, cause this could damage the way you view relationships. You could function really well, find the right person and never think about this again. But at least freedom, independence and originality could be some of the themes for you in a relationship.

Have you ever been interested in the idea of open relationships or polyamory? Just curious.

I know a lady that's an Aquarius Sun and she has Venus in Capricorn square Uranus in Libra. I don't know her birth time. But I knew she probably had this aspect. She's known in the family to have slept around with most of the men. She's my cousins bestfriend and slept with her husband. She's never been married she even slept with her own daughters husband.
