Well, that's a problem. See the confusion that creates? You know the houses are defined by Earth movement and change minute-to-minute, the signs essentially static. Just because there is correlation does not mean they are the same. I know this thread has fallen into the ditch of political contention, but I appreciate that you are trying to stick to actual astrology. ------------------

Well the houses are fixed, from our local horizon's perspective. Although it depends on your house system you are using. I find it strange that for Placidus they use the Sun's daily motion path to mark the MH. Yet they use the ecliptic rising for the asc/dsc. Yet the sun's daily motion ring is a whole different ring than the ecliptic. Never aligned. If it was possible to see the sun's energy pathway we would see a nice band bending across our horizon sky. Yet the ecliptic is always present, and it also has its highest point which is rarely ever at the MH. Two different bands or rings, yet Placidus uses the ascending/descending of one ring and combines it with the highest point (CANCER/CAPRICORN/10th/4th) of the other band. But I guess it's a matter of theory and testing. Two me it takes 2 rings, like the equator and ecliptic, to make a set of signs. Yet they are using some parts of 1 ring, combinging that with the horizon ring, and using some parts of yet a DIFFERENT ring with the horizon ring, which I believe is likely not an accurate method of finding the house borders. Anyway. So the houses are moving through the signs but are fixed to the horizon. The signs are moving through the houses but are fixed to the ecliptic. The horizon and ecliptic are moving in reference. Anyway I believe in many zodiacs and just because we have a horizon we like to call them houses of the planet, but for the most part they are just a set of signs IP: Logged |

While I am familiar with some of the astrologers who were quoted in the article linked here, I have been unimpressed year after year with ISAR Conference attendees' predictions, or at least their reasoning behind their decisions. Disclaimer: I am a Green Party member who will be voting for Jill Stein. The best indication of an outcome that I can see is more evident in Trump's chart. The progressions are strong on both sides and require looking into the declinations to understand why Hillary's chart and progressions are so strong. Same with Trump's. So to get some separation I look at transits to Trump's chart. Saturn 23SAG31 conjunct Trump's natal Moon and quincunx natal Saturn on the inauguration date, 20 January 2017. Saturn [22S00] transits also contra-parallel his natal Venus, Saturn, and Uranus. Additionally, Neptune 10PIS16 transits quincunx natal Pluto; Pluto 17CAP37 transits quincunx natal Uranus, and squares natal Jupiter, at [21S18] transits contra-parallel natal Saturn. These (quincunxes) indicate to me a multi-adjustment required regarding his exercise of power, and the Saturn to Moon transit during the period of election to inauguration indicates feelings of failure or at least negativity/self-criticism and a time of withdrawal. That is not to say Hillary's transits are 'winning'. They are nearly as tough, but do not have indications of failure or withdrawal Trump's shows. ------------------
